According to the sign on the school, this is the oldest school house in Arizona still standing. "The Strawberry School is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Builf by pioneers in 1885, this one room cabin provided elementary instruction to students until 1916. The building represents the effort to teach the "Three Rs" in rural Arizona during territorial and carly statehood periods. The building is significant for its contribution to education and as a rare surviving example of an Arizona log schoolhouse." The grounds are clean and well-kept.

The history around the ruins are interesting and you can read little markers describing historical aspects. But other than that there's not much to see. We stopped here in the way to Water Wheel Waterfalls just down the road.

This Memorial is located within the Green Valley Park, across from the stage. You can see it from…read morethe playground. This is a reverential memorial to the people that gave their lives while serving in the United States Armed Forces, and in the Merchant Marine. The plaques on each wall are moving. Definitely worth stopping by.

Post Office window services open M-F providing service to thousands of Pine/Strawberry and…read moresurrounding area residents. There are over 1000 individual post boxes in the lobby-- many of which are no charge to local residents due to non-street delivery of mail to Pine residents. Strawberry residents are served by Rural Carrier delivery to cluster boxes. Employees at the Pine Post Office are efficient, courteous and well trained. Building is well maintained and clean. Nearest Post Office is 15 miles away in Payson, Az.
