Had to update after my last meal here. Service was unacceptably slow. Servers were friendly but never around; took forever to get food, straws, etc. Food was not good; dry chicken on my Caesar salad and bland store- bought croutons. Couldn't even get my bill without going inside and asking for it. Sorry to say but we won't return. read more

I would like to be able to give this little mom and pop restaurant a good review, but I can't. Read on. The place is very small, probably seats about 20 people inside and less then that outside. White tablecloths cover the tables and gigantic bottles of wine are placed around the room as decoration. Two tables outside were full, and one table inside. The back section had tables pulled together for a group with a "reserved" sign on it. That left two unoccupied tabes for two in the front. The pair of us walked in and stood waiting by the front podium, but no one was in sight. A few minutes later, a plate-laden waitress hurried from the back and stopped short when she saw us. She asked if we had a reservation, which we did not and then gestured to one of the empty tables. That was the last we ever saw of her. A party of 10 started arriving right behind us and occupied the reserved table. We had arrived at 1:25 or so, and now it was 1:45. The waitress did not come back with water and could have come back to tell she was slammed, but she didn't. The place was supposed to close at 2:30 and given the party of 10 had just been seated, it wasn't looking good for us. It appeared that only two people were working there and one was the chef. Being understaffed is a common occurrence these days and we should have been told. Anyway, a few minutes later we walked out. The menu is small, but sophisticated. We were disappointed not to try it. Hopefully, the staff shortage will be resolved. read more

This establishment is in a pretty big plaza off a main road. A lot of parking, small but clean space with outside seating. I got this order togo and the person that helped me greeted me right away and was polite. What we got; Gamberi in creamy parmesan sauce - i got this for my husband and was really hoping it would be super good. I would not say that this was creamy although it was saucy, it was a bit watery in fact. It was bland and had very little flavor. It needed some more parmesan to add some salty/thickness to the sauce. The shrimp were also small, there were maybe 5 pieces of shrimp. It said they were tiger shrimp but I'm not sure that they were. There was also some crab and that was an okay flavor thrown in there It's a dish that has potential and I'd be open to trying it again. 4/10 Moroccan chicken - this was the better of the two entrees and was very flavorful. The chicken was served in saffron lemon sauce, was cooked very well and easily came off the bone. The lemon saffron sauce was lacking the lemon but had a little bit of Smokey hints. The veggies (carrots potatoes and green beans) were cooked thoroughly but there were not many of them. I would think they would use these as a filler. 9/10 Olive pesto dip - yoo, this was bomb. The pesto flavor came all the way through. The honey balsamic + candied walnuts (i think that's what was in there) added such a nice flavor. It gave it some sweetness but didn't take away from the pesto at all. For sure paired well together. Then the feta cheese crumbles in it just tied it together to add that salty/umami factor. The bread it was served with was a bit disappointing. It had a nice crunch on the outside but the insider was super dry/gritty and came apart super crumbly. This stuff deserves a-1, top tier fresh bread. 10/10 on the dip alone. Hummus - i really wanted to try this because it said there was brie in it and i love me some cheese, but nothing special here. 4/10 Overall, I'd come here again and try other items as they have a good looking menu. -1 star for the watery sauce, -1 star for letting me down with the Brie hummus. read more

Have no idea what kind of sauce was on them tastes like dog food and like water.. but I'm sure because it was raining take out they could give a crap!!! While visiting family, they wanted to treat me to their favorite restaurant. What a treat! We started with olive pesto dip, free with my check in! Also the watermelon caprese . We had two baskets of excellent sourdough rounds, to spread the dip on. My brother chose osso buco, which they make with pork instead of veal. He pronounced it "very good". Sister-in-law had spinach and ricotta ravioli in a parmesan cream sauce, "excellent". I opted for veal scaloppini with a marsala wine sauce, that was absolutely delicious. I also had a wine lemon drop cocktail (they don't have a liquor license) that was very tasty. We sat outdoors so my family's dog could be with us, and it was such a pleasant evening. Service was slow, but in a nice way - leisurely - so we had time to enjoy our conversation and food without hurrying. All in all, I was glad they took me there, because it was definitely a treat! read more

What a hidden gem! Located in Clayton in a strip mall. Although not the perfect atmosphere outside it's cozy inside. This is an all time favorite of a dear friend of mine. She offered to take us there for a Birthday celebration. We decided to share a meal because that's what we always do. Trying to convince ourselves we are actually consuming less calories is a bit of a joke! We still order the salads, eat all the bread and then eat off the children's plates. Just call me Chubs! We decided to share the lasagna which was fabulous. Mouth water sauce with just the right amount of cheese inside. We both had arugula salads and olives as an appetizer. The kids opted for the typical but tasty spaghetti with chicken and broccoli on the side. The best surprise was our waitress that came out and sang happy birthday like she walked off the stage of an Opera. See video! She has an amazing voice and credited her version of Happy Birthday to the movie frozen. What a way for a 9 years old to celebrate her birthday. read more

The restaurant is severely short staffed. Our server/manager forgot to bring our wine until we reminded him. The 3 children dishes weren't plated as described--ground beef instead of meatballs and no Parmesan cheese on the butter pasta. The Caesar salad had only one cherry tomato and no anchovies. The tiramisu was oddly drowned in chocolate sauce. Despite all that, I'm still rating Restaurant Fiore as a 4! When we first walked into the restaurant, it was dead empty. The owner initially told me he had 2 big parties coming in and couldn't accommodate our party of 7, but he offered to seat us outside. A few minutes later, the restaurant was busting at the seams with people. People were at the bar, all the tables inside were full, and there were other parties outside with us....yet there appeared to be only 2 wait staff, including the owner. Despite the craziness, the owner ALWAYS remained attentive and kept a genuine smile on his face. Yes, the salad and children dishes had ground meat weren't exactly plated right, but they all still tasted great! And the main entrees were absolutely foodgasmically amazing! The lamb and seafood were melt in your mouth tender, the gnocchi and pasta were all perfectly al dente, and the sauces were all well balanced, fresh and made to order! My fabulous Auntie, who speaks Italian, wanted to take us out to a nice dinner. So we went out as a party of five and she took us to Fiore. I've been here before for work events - lunches, celebrations. It is a nice place - think linens, cloth napkins, nice bar and wine selection, FRESH FLOWERS, and is just LOVELY inside. Four stars is for the combination of ambience, variety of food choices on the menu, and service. The tables are closer together than I'd like them to be, but that's personal preference. Plenty of parking right outside in the parking lot, located in the Vineyard Shopping Center, an older strip-type outdoor "mall" in Concord, but Fiore is charming in its old-world Italian environment inside. Think date night, a calm but chatty GNO with your girlfriends, or a nice family dinner out. Yes, they even have a KIDS MENU with some nice choices for children - ask for it. Casual elegance & one of the nicer restaurants in Concord. I ordered the PESCATORE $19.95 because I love seafood - a heavenly combination of clams, mussels, tiger shrimp, salmon, & halibut in a tomato lobster sauce over linguine. It was chock full of seafood deliciousness - SEE PIC - and I loved every bite. Full disclosure - I did have to add a bit of salt, but it was still very good. My Aunt had the lamb shank and enjoyed it. Yes, she was speaking Italian to our server & we were given warm attention & service. Try the BLACKBERRY ITALIAN soda for something delicious & sweet & non-alcoholic. Next time I'll try the lasagna or bolognese or another seafood pasta dish. There's a dessert menu as well, but we were too full to eat dessert. So think of Fiore for a nice night out and some delicious Italian food when you're on Concord! Tutto bene! read more

my lady and i came to fiore for our 1 year anniversary dinner. they allow outdoor seating and we love italian food. we love luna in todos santos and heard we needed to try out fiore (which is a lot closer to us). great service, great covid safety precautions. i had the gamberi and my lady had the carbonara, which is her favorite italian dish. the gamberi was delicious and the carbonara was good. we both decided that fiore was a great way to satisfy our luna craving without having to go to todos santos. fiore is an easy place to miss. it's tucked behind the baskin-robbins near the mccaulou's on clayton rd. but it's a great place for italian food especially in this area. read more

The 1 star is for the flavor of the food. I made reservations for Christmas day. No mention of a special menu/price when reservation was made, but I get it. Not many people want to work, so I can live with that if the food and service is good. The food was good, but not nearly enough for what we paid. We had a reservation at 4:30. We were seated about 4:40. We got water at 5:15. They had a fixed menu, so at 5:30 a waiter appeared, dropped bread on the table and asked for our order. We ordered. Salads came out about 10 minutes later. Salad was excellent. Dinner arrived about 10 minutes after salads. Well everyone's dinner except Grandmas. After waiting for 10 minutes, we finally asked where her food was. Not sure, but it came out about 2 minutes later. However the sauce should have been creamy and sticking to the pasta, but not so. Just a puddle of liquid at the bottom. She did not each much of it. Asked for a to go box. They bring a cardboard box. We explain that the sauce is really liquid--at this point he could see the dish was cooked incorrectly, but did not replace it. Asked for a plastic container, said they only have cardboard, and offered to double box and saran wrap it. We have not finished eating dinner, and here comes dessert. Waiter sends the dessert away and sets in on the bar area. Then about 7 minutes later brings it back. Asked for a to go box for dessert, and they bring me a plastic container. Service leaves a ton to be desired. I don't mind paying good money for good food, but I do want the service to at least meet the expectation of the amount I am spending. I regret this choice.
