Steeped in history, this collection of artifacts has a very calm and tranquil, otherworldly vibe to it; very peaceful. I visited in March just after a big rainstorm and the area was empty, gift shop closed, nobody in sight. I strolled through the muddy grass making my way to island ruins. Once there, I marveled at the history and the craftsmanship of the walls still standing and reveled in the grassy but otherwise beautifully sparse landscape.
Take the narrow, gravely road on your way to Port Askaig, its worth the effort. read more
