The lines were long as everyone was eagerly awaiting their coffee. The aesthetics characterized by its simplicity, clean lines met with a monochromatic palette colour used as an accent. The ceiling to floor windows drew you into the bustle of the city streets.
Great coffee, great vibe…read more One of our favorite things to do while visiting new places is to start the day by checking out a new coffee shop. We're not coffee connoisseurs by any means, but a good cup of coffee is a good cup of coffee. Cuperus serves a good cup of coffee (& chai!). We ended up here on our last day in Antwerp, as it was literally around the corner from the Airbnb we were staying in (also included this info on the Airbnb review!). There was 1 guy working, who was h.a.n.d.l.i.n.g-i.t. We bought several bags of coffee to bring home with us & have been enjoying Cuperus ever since!

The staff are really helpful and kind, for our anniversary the first year I was hear I bought some presents for my girlfriend and asked if I could stash them in the cafe a couple of days earlier. They obliged and were very good at sneaking them up to us on the day. The only complaint is that the selection of cakes isn't great.
This cafe just of the main square (Grote Markt) is excellent when it comes to coffee. The owner is…read morereally passionate about good coffee and while it is a real uphill battle in the Netherlands he and his staff serve some pretty good coffee. It does perhaps not match the best in the Nordics, UK and the US but they are doing a fine job serving coffee. They change the roast at regular intervals so even when coming here pretty frequently I do not tire. Very friendly service and they are happy to chat about coffee and other things so I really like the place. I have actually never sampled any of the food or other drinks but a few colleagues have sampled some of the fresh juices offered and were very pleased. My main reason to go is however the coffee. If I could wish for any improvements it would be longer opening hours as I often struggle to get here before they close (and have already been working for a while when they open). Thursdays are the exception when they are open late. Would also be great if they added a brew bar but from what I understand the interest is limited.
