Superb experience of gastronomical masterpieces))) We wanted to go to Figli Dei Fiori, got there, we're told there were no vacant tables and they recommended their Osteria. It's a smaller restaurant, but same chef, same traditional cuisine . The food was absolutely superb!!!! Super fresh, so delicious!!!! Every dish we ordered was great, the best were baked ravioli!!!! We also ordered ravioli and kebab, and all was good. Excellent. Should we visit Como again, we will return to this amazingly tasty restaurant . read more

Firstly, I love the vibe. Plants and nature everywhere. We had a great personable server. The ravioli was decent, but a little dry. The burrata was absolutely phenomenal, as was the wine. Lastly we had the picanha dish.. I'm Brazilian so picanha is in my blood and it was very disappointing to say the least. I believe it wasn't truly picanha except for one or two of the pieces on the skewer, which is why the meat was quite tough - definitely not a 30 euro dish. The peas and potato were good though. Overall I enjoyed my experience there and I'm sure there are plenty of dishes as good as the buratta. read more

Delicious. Maybe 5-. The bistro was full so we went to the Osteria, which has a different menu. We had the lamb shank, ravioli (like a gratin), eggplant parmigiana, and nicoise salad. Everything was delicious. The ravioli was a little too saucy for my taste, but I think that's a matter of taste. It's too rich on its own for me. I think the eggplant was the star. It was perfectly cooked, hearty, and simply delicious. It reminded me of the movie Ratatouille, when the food critic smiled because the bite conjured homey memories. It was a like warm hug of goodness from within. The salad was likewise very nice and very fresh. I also liked the anchovies as an added touch (not normally in nicoise?). I also liked the dressing with the shank. The mustard had a nice strong horseradish taste that paired really well with the meat. Everything was just a cut above. If I had to critique, the side veggies (tomatoes and pea pods) were overdressed and the proportion of Haricots Verts were off (too much green beans). Overall, however, great meal. Although I'm all about the food, the decor was also very cool and had a nice relaxed vibe. My wife said it was like they opened a restaurant inside an Anthropology store. We just walked in for our reservation. We were immediately told we only had a limited time for our table seating and that we would only be allowed to order one dish. Next, it took our server 20 minutes to even take or drink order. We weren't even greeted with a hello. She simply said, ready to order? Even if the food is glorious, to be treated so crudely and abruptly for no reason at all, this experience has been miserable. Very disappointing as eating at this restaurant was high on my list of Como experiences. And no, we were prompt for our 7:15 reservation. read more

Best restaurant I've been in Italy! Had the sophisticated brunch feels! Make sure to ask for seating outside because being surrounded by the plants was a definite experience. Came here around lunch time, no need for reservation. There were mostly locals in this restaurant, so you could really say it was really nice! They have lunch specials where you get a meal and drinks and water! All less than €17!! That's a deal! Food serving was more than enough! Can get you exploring around Como till night time! read more

A beautiful and charming restaurant in a former textile dye factory turned garden shop. Secluded and romantic nooks for two, four or six, a nice little bar area, a wonderful outdoor patio dining area and a roof deck that is open in the summer. Great service with equally great food. Authentic Italian comfort food with a little bit of a twist to make it interesting, but not so much that you won't recognize them. My fiancé and I ate in the bistro side of the shop and it was in our opinion the best restaurant in Como! I absolutely loved the inside atmosphere - you're basically in a greenhouse with all types of plants (ranging from cacti to tropical trees) surrounding the dining room. Not to mention the exquisite floral arrangements that the flower shop obviously puts together. The food was delicious, and service was great. If you find yourself in Como this is a must see! read more
