Dropping off my puppy for her first grooming appointment I figured I had time to kill so headed down McCully and pulled in to McCully Shopping Center to see if there was anything open for breakfast at 9:00 in the morning....thats how I ended up at Fig & Ginger. 9:00 in the morning you have your choice of parking spots in the center's lot.....lot looks bigger at this time of the day too. Walked into this restaurant at was seated at a table for two in the second row of tables for two. The configuration of the restaurant is four tables for two along the wall. A second row of four of tables for two, I'm guessing it's set up like this so you can push two tables together. Then there's a looong table/bench for communal eating or large parties. Then against the wall are four tables for four. It's small but configured to maximize occupancy. I was surprised there were six tables of two and one of four occupied when I came in. Service was quick considering only one server, menus and water were left as she passed by to another table. I didn't even look at the regular menu as I saw the Salmon Egg Benedict on the "special" menu made even better when I was informed they were out of English Muffins and would toasted sourdough be an okay substitute, yes please! Excellent Eggs Benedict! Eggs perfectly poached, toast perfectly brown, just the right amount of Hollandaise and the salmon was the perfect amount. I also ordered a Latte but dismissed their menu as I'm not a fufu latte drinker....just a plain Latte please. I did appreciate the artful way the foam was added and the charming cup and saucer it was served in. Those touches are appreciated. The only downside for me was when the bill was presented and I was told by the server as I tried to hand her my card I had to pay at the register. The only reason I can see this happening was because they sell baked goods at the register of which I wasn't buying. I found this very annoying and had the restaurant been more full than it was it would it would have made it worse. I deducted a star because this annoyed me turning a very pleasant experience into a lesser experience for me.

Fig & Ginger is located in a plaza with plenty of parking, though the parking lot layout is messy - the center of the parking lot can hold a single car and the parking spot can be entered from both sides, which is terrible when the lot gets busy. The bathroom is located upstairs and shared with other businesses, and you'll need to ask them for the key to the specific gendered restroom. I ordered eggs sunny side up and a rose latte. The breakfast is pretty large, and comes with three different proteins for the indecisive customer (me). The food is straightforward and doesn't over-deliver on what it is, though I wish there was a cheaper menu option scaled down on the portion size proportionally. The rose latte struck the perfect balance of good coffee and floral notes without being too strong.

We stopped by for a breakfast before going to visit family (we stayed in Waikiki). The place is a small restaurant but very cute. We were the first customer... so no waiting. We got honey cinnamon latte and honey rose latte ($7 each). Both are really good. There is dry rose crumpets in the honey rose latte, interestingly I could taste both honey and cinnamon. Egg benedict ($18) is very tasty, soft bun, salmon and egg on top, served with local greens. Waffle ($16): freshly made Waffle, caramel banana and sausage. We also add 2 over easy eggs for $5. Everything is fresh and delicious! We definitely come back for dinner! They also had some local products on sale, great for gifting.

Breakfast with my home girlz - Sharon H. & Cathy I. It's been a minute since I've seen my home girlz, so we planned a quick breakfast get together at this joint called - Fig & Ginger Honolulu. Honestly, I wasn't too keen about coming here because I saw their limited menu offerings, but it's not always about the food........I'm really here for the company. I must say Fig & Ginger serves wonderful coffee here, and if you're a fan of great coffee.......this is a spot you may wanna check out. As far as the food goes - very nice presentation, but I felt it was sorta pricy for what you got. I had ordered the croissant scrambled egg sandwich (for $16.50 for the dish), I felt it wasn't really of good value for what I got. The restaurant is on the smaller side, and when it does get crowded in the restaurant, the noise level is pretty up there, making it rather hard to hold a conversation (but of course it doesn't help if you're partially deaf) like me. Lol! I would definitely come back here for the coffee tho.........as for the food, I'd probably pass.

While the food did taste good, I would skip this spot if you're vacationing in Waikiki. The wait was long, both to get seated and to be served the food. Quite pricey for just your typical brunch items. While it is highly reviewed online, I wouldn't make the trip (it's a bit out of the way), especially if you have a day of activities planned.

Located in McCully Shopping Center on the bottom floor, Fig and Ginger is a clean and bright breakfast/lunch spot. There is parking for the shopping center at the front, and some additional parking in the garage underground. We decided to go for brunch and the parking lot was pretty empty. The restaurant also had some tables open, so we did not need to make a reservation. Not sure if they take them or not. The place has a few tables inside, but not a ton. There are some boho decorations, a bright white interior, and some nature/plant elements. We were seated quickly and our orders were taken efficiently. There are a number of options on the menu from toasts to sweets to sandwiches, the options are quite decent. They have also been known for their charcuterie boards. We did not get one, but were tempted by the mini charcuterie option! We decided to get the croissant scrambled eggs sandwich, crispy corn fritters toastie, and goat cheese and fig sandwich with truffle fries. The toastie was good. The crispy corn was quite crunchy, and had a good flavor. The eggs did not taste like they had much flavor but worked OK with the rest of the dish. The goat cheese and fig sandwich was good, the truffle fries were especially tasty. The scrambled egg sandwich was a bit difficult to eat but pretty good. Overall, a pretty good spread of food, and it would be nice to try something sweet next time!

Located in McCully Shopping Center at the intersection of Kapiolani and McCully, next to 7-11 with free parking. Maile was awesome greeting us right away and sitting us at a table for two. Even though we would have preferred to sit at the larger table in corner instead of on the aisle, she KINDLY explained they leave it open for larger parties. Maile also had the unfortunate job of telling us a few of the top items were not quite ready to be served, but she had such a nice way of saying it we didn't mind as menu has alot of choices to enjoy and try and we support local businesses who are doing their best what with labor, taxes, and shipping cost issues. The menu has a variety of items for brekkie, toasties, salads, sandwiches, sides, daily baked items, sweet starts, smoothies, juices, pressed juices, coffees, shaken iced teas, and bowls and grains. So much to choose from! It was about 10:00 am, after our morning walk, so we ordered cappuccino, latte, chia pudding, tropical fruit bowl and muffin of the day- banana. I feel bad we didn't even scratch the service with the level of dishes prepared and how interesting and delicious they looked- I felt cheated I didn't come in with a better appetite. Everything was brought out at the same time and onolicious and beautifully displayed. The fruit bowl had star fruit, dragon fruit, miniature nectarines, strawberries, blueberries, cantaloupe, green grapes with a superb mix of flavors pairing well with my cappuccino and muffin. On our way out we saw a patron enjoying the truffle fries so we know shall return again and again!

Late review but this place was so good! I was surprise because I expected it to be a typical brunch place and it is a good place for brunch but they have unique dishes. If you can, I recommend making a reservation because when a group of friends and I went on the weekend, there were people waiting outside. I knew some of the people waiting and they waited for 40 minutes. I got the crispy corn fritter so that was delicious and one of my friends got roasted beets and that was good! Atmosphere - Gives me classy but not too bougie. Lighting is pleasant and it's not too loud in there either. Colors are neutral in a sense so not too loud but doesn't just blend in and it's decorated nicely. There are tables of around 4 people and a bigger table in the middle. I would say the restaurant overall seats 20 - 30 people. Service - Our service was great and we got our food in a reasonable amount of time. Cost - Ranges but average would be around $17 not including tax and tip. Parking - It's in the McCully Shopping Center so you can park on the main level outdoor lot or they have a parking lot under the building as well, it's a bit tight so be aware. Location - It's in the McCully Shopping Center on the 7/11, Fook Yuen side. I would definitely come here again, it was pretty good!

This was my last spot before flying back to Cali! This was another one of our daughter's favorite places to come with her college buddies! It was a few minutes from the hotel wifey and I stayed at, which was nice. It's small but has big favors! Great place to chill that's for sure. The food was on point! My hat off to the chefs in the kitchen! I was not disappointed. Tucked in at McCully Shopping Center, I finally got to try this place with friends! We were celebrating a July birthday and couldn't have came at a perfect time! Early Sunday brunch, we ordered some yummy drinks, the Caprese, Roasted Mushrooms Egg, and the best part of our dining experience...the baked Brie!!!! Oh my!!! This is a must! It's just made to perfection, everything compliments one another! And also, since this was our first time, we were unaware of portions so next time, we know we didn't have to order one entree per person. The place is so quaint and screams girls only...and that's exactly what the place was filled with...WOMEN of all ages! I can't wait to go back again but for now, I'll daydream about you, baked Brie!

Lunch buddy wanted to brunch at Fig & Ginger. I will do lunching, but not really into brunching. Other than having to deal with the parking situation, I am glad that I tried Fig & Ginger. I ordered the crispy corn fritters with a poached egg sitting on a bed of greens. The bloodiness from the eggs perfectly seasoned my dish. Service was good and the ambiance was warm and cute. I ended up enjoying my experience and will be back for brunching.

Fig & Ginger is located on the 1st floor of McCully shopping center. We didn't have much time, so we ordered something quick and easy. Their chia pudding with mixed berries, coconut milk and honey and the Big Island chocolate brownie with cacao nibs and berries a la mode. Both were tasty and not too sweet. Definitely will be coming back to try their charcuterie boards and toast. If you're looking for a brunch spot this would be a good choice. read more

Food quality has gone down significantly since I've been there last. Cesar salad used to come with soft boiled eggs, tons of bacon bits and fresh onions; fries used to be shoestring-like and crispy. Now, portions are smaller (for the same price), fries are thick, soggy and look like school cafeteria food. Taste isn't all that horrid, but I'd go elsewhere for a better bang for your buck. read more

Such a cute place, located in McCully shopping center next to 7-11. We went here for lunch and the food is absolutely amazing. The truffle fries were one of the best I've ever had. And do to see the size of that sandwich! Definitely a fulfilling lunch. The salad was also delicious, the mozzarella was so fresh. They have a lovely menu, it's so hard to choose what to get. I do wish the space was little bigger, it's a little tight. But food was amazing!! read more

We celebrated Mother's Day brunch with our family at Fig & Ginger at their new location at McCully Centre and we had the BEST time! The menu had a good spread of brunch items and we heard that they plan to expand their menu in future which excites us! We got to sample her specialty charcuterie board which was a fab appetizer. The place is so refreshing and tastefully decorated to feel cozy, and the service was great - very warm and inviting! Everything tasted delicious and their desserts was the perfect compliment to a tasty meal. You MUST sample the moist banana cake, crème brûlée and brownie! And Yimmy made me a Lilikoi Black Iced Tea that did not disappoint and certainly quenched my thirst! We look forward to going back again! read more

Expensive (however this is HONOLULU) & tiny proportions however DARLING restaurant & sweet staff. Too many carbs for me as there wasn't an all egg or protein/keto dish on the menu. If you like the sweets - my kid was in heaven! read more

Great food, friendly service, and parking by Waikiki! I've used Fig & Ginger for catering and have eaten there several times for brunch and once for dinner. The portions are small for American standards (tourists), but that's a good thing. I don't walk away feeling bad for wasting food or being overly full. I'll be back next time in that part of town. read more

Don't be quite to join from the outside because this place is heavenly. This is my first trip to Hawaii and I was pleasantly pleased with the breakfast served at Fig & Ginger. We celebrated our Girlfriends' Birthdays with a large party on a Sunday afternoon. Our party was too big to have on one table so we sat on 2 separate long tables on one side of the restaurant as there were 15 of us! (We did make reservations ahead of time) The service was awesome & food was delicious! The presentation of the plates was gorgeous - Definitely eye candy. The drinks were refreshing and not too sweet - Would recommend the Lychee & Coconut Iced Teas if you enjoy those flavors. Our kiddies enjoyed the Tropical Fruit Bowl and meats from the F & G Antipasto Board. We ordered a side of French Fries, Portuguese Sausage (3 pieces per Order) & Bacon (3 pieces per Order) on the side for the Kiddies to eat as well. Paying was convenient via QR code on the Check. There was ample parking in the garage under the Shopping Center. Definitely will be back later to try the Sandwiches and other drinks! read more

Sadly I cannot give a 5 star review as the day we went the restaurant was understaffed. We were told a 15 minute wait and there were tables available after 15 minutes, but no one cleared them. When we were FINALLY seated the food arrived in a timely manner and was good. I had a goat cheese and fig jam sandwich which I enjoyed very much. The others in my party had the full breakfast, which was well done and satisfying, and the grilled steak sandwich- again well prepared and tasty. Hopefully more staff can be hired soon. read more

Had brunch there...extremely cute place but a little on the loud side. Also, there was only one server the day we went, so it was a little difficult to catch her attention. Fantastic food and thought the preparations and freshness of the sandwich was on point. I will say that prices have increased, so it a bit expensive compared to some other equivalent shops around town. I thought the portion size and menu items were desirable and worth the visit. Given the price, I wouldn't eat here super frequently, but I will say the price does meet the quality and value of the food you get. I understand all businesses are dealing with increased regulation and costs, so it makes sense. The vibes were chill for a dagger afternoon lunch. The inside is nice, although I think the chairs could be more comfortable. read more

absolutely love this place! it's such a cute gem of a spot. it is a little small, so there isn't that much seating but the aesthetic is cute! i ordered their goat cheese & fig sandwich which was delicious, and the side of truffle fries were a great addition. i always have to have something sweet so i had their signature french toast and it was definitely one of the best i've ever had!!! the server was sweet and prompt, ill definitely be coming back again. i wish i tried their smoothie, ill have to try it next! read more

Such a cute, beautiful new little spot! The staff is so friendly and the ambiance / interior is adorable. We had the shaken lilikoi iced tea (freaking AMAZING), orange juice, lilikoi crème brûlée (also amazing), avocado toast, cap rede toast (BEAUTIFUL), the ocean salmon toast (the only meh thing), and the corn fritters toast (AMAZING). I am sorry, but it is a big no for me. When you arrive no one greets you and you kind of have to take the initiative to walk to the bar seating area. When I asked how it works, the girl said there was a waitlist and she would write my name down. The next two groups of people that came after me asked me how it worked and I just told them to have their name down on the waitlist. About twenty minutes go by and the group of six that just put their name down was called before us. I went in to check where I was on the "waitlist" and she pointed to a table and said I could sit there. She mentioned that the group had a reservation which was a lie because they literally asked me if they had to put their name on the list or something. Secondly, prices are crazy here. I get it, we live in a social media world and everything is for "aesthetics" but there's nothing aesthetic about half a waffle with a scoop of Nutella and whip cream that cost $14.50. My friend got a oat bowl and that was literally the same cost as well. It's basically robbery at this point. The food was average and nothing special in my opinion. Maybe my mood was just set off from the beginning but I just can't recommend to try this place. Looking away from aesthetics, it's not worth it. My friends and I were on vacation in Hawaii and were looking up some brunch spots and found this hidden gem. The Salmon paired with the scrambled eggs and dill sour cream were to die for. The workers were also super helpful when it came to helping my friend who has a nut allergy find what foods didn't have any nuts in it so that was super helpful as well of the employees. I tried: Big Brekkie- no joke- Portuguese sausage, bacon and link sausage, potatoes (perfectly cooked and seasoned) 4pcs buttered toast cherry tomatoes, sautéed spinach mushrooms, asparagus, 3 eggs anyway you like it It was huge and great value. Also THANK YOU FOR INCLUDING VEGGIES. Very few places serve you veggies with a standard breakfast it's always just potatoes meat and eggs which Is sooooo heavy. Everything was perfectly seasoned not too salty. Fresh fruit French toast: amazing soft fluffy bread with a several berries and a drizzle of syrup. I caught sight of this place on Yelp and it looked so cute and yummy. It just recently opened and has a nice vibe to it. There's a few tables, counter seating and takeout available. The menu looks really good and I wanted to try almost everything. We got take out - I got the croissant egg sandwich which was very good. The ocean toast also looked yummy. You can order at the counter and only took about 10minutes. There is lots of parking at the McCully Shopping center during the day which is great. I want to come back and try some of their charcuterie options! read more

Very adorable brunch place located in McCully Shopping Center. It has very cute, quaint, and modern vibes. The workers there are friendly, and they're very patient when we bring the crazy kiddos with us. Their salmon is super yummy and the way that they season it/the ingredients they combine it with is perfection. A little pricey but the quality of the food is worth it. Coffee was excellent. Food was waaaay to salty, as in we didnt finish our food too salty. I dissected the croissant to try and isolate what was making it so salty-and it was every ingredient, the bread, the butter, the ham, the eggs. The dish would have been delicious had it not been overpowered by salt literally crunching in each bite. We were excited to try this place, but honestly not sure if i would go back. F & G went here w/ my daughter for breakfast. She had the acai bowl & said it is on her top 5 on the island. I had the " Big breakfast" which had, eggs, sauteed spinich , potatoes, 3 different meats & toast. Not a single complaint on the food! My 4* rather than 5* rating here was for a simpke cup of regular brewed coffee was $ 6 US which I feel was excessive ! read more

EXCEPTIONAL!!! The food is absolutely divine. I went for the big breakfast and enjoyed every single thing on the plate. The eggs were cooked and seasoned to perfection, the potatoes were so unique(some yummy spices on there for sure) and the meat and veggies were great quality, again seasoned to perfection. I got the cinnamon fig waffles as well and was so happy I did! It was a lot of food but well worth it. Also thought the pricing was very fair. Service was excellent, quick and attentive waitstaff. What makes a great experience in a restaurant is the delicious food/drinks and service! We got that and my tummy and heart are so happy! Kardi or Kandi (didn't have my glasses ‍) and her fellow server were friendly, courteous, gracious and sweet. It showed that they care in what they do. The food!!! Seriously I am not a foodie but I do love to eat! The Big Breakfast, the Salmon Omelet and the French Toast were sooooo yummy!!!! Best FT ever!!!! Best everything!!! My fiance won a gift card actually 2 of them (from his coworker whom could not get a reservation secured), we knew we had to make the trip over before they officially close. We had multiple dishes, but staff made Kauai prawns and tomato miso black cod dishes on the house since they ran out the Hokkaido scallops. We ordered the short ribs, lobster appetizer, hamachi crudo and lastly sashimi moriawase to finish food palate. Lukki lemon dessert was great way to end to night. Ordered the Milk tea bouquet cocktail while my better half had water ( either way the food coma knock him out cold the rest of the night lol). To be honest, it was difficult to determine which dish was the best because the staff kept quality there despite it being busy every night since they announce the closure. Sashimi moriawase, fish was so fresh, reminded me of my time spent in Hokkaido and Sapporo. Short ribs was soft and rich in flavor. Both me and my fiance liked the lukki lemon dessert, like lemon meringue pie but broken down version. If you have a chance to dine here before closing and got a reservation, definitely will have a lovely dining experience and your stomach will be full by end of the night.

We had leftovers for breakfast the next day! - For appetizers we got: Ulu Tots, Japanese Eggplant, and Corn Beignets. The Corn Beignets was the best. - For entree we got: Tomato Miso Black Cod and the Short Rib. Both were delicious and worth a try. Sad to see that this restaurant appears to be closing.

Location: Conveniently situated on the bottom floor of the McCully shopping plaza, this place boasts plenty of free parking and is super easy to find. Ambiance: The space is charmingly intimate and quaint, making reservations a must if you want to secure a spot. Service: I hosted a party of 13 and every interaction--from booking over the phone to the warm, attentive wait staff on the day--was exceptional. BYOB Perks: Yes, you can bring your own bubbly! The first two bottles are on the house, and each additional bottle comes with a modest $5 fee. We enjoyed eight bottles during our brunch, and the fee was absolutely worth it. They even kept our drinks perfectly chilled and offered a selection of juices to complement the prosecco. Food: The food was nothing short of spectacular. My husband, daughter and I tried this place today. Small but clean. The noise level was extremely high and loud. 2 groups there. They were having a good time but because it's a small space, it intensified the noise level. At one point our waitress apologized for the noise. As for the food it was so-so. The bread I had was very salty. The tomatoes on my daughter's plate didn't taste good. My husband had a salmon plate, was just okay. All in all, we tried it but will not be returning. read more

We had a great experience at Fig & Ginger Honolulu--the location is super convenient, especially being close to Waikīkī and Ala Moana. It's an easy spot to stop by whether you're exploring or just grabbing a quick bite. The portions were generous, the prices were affordable, and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. This little café has limited seating, so I waited about 10 minutes before deciding to grab a takeaway instead. The restaurant was quite noisy, but I did love their Breakfast --it's beautiful and tasty. Personally, I preferred taking my food to go and enjoying it with a beautiful beach view.
