The restaurant itself has picnic tables to sit outside and you can view the chefs making the dough as you are ordering your pizzas. You can't go wrong with your order but everything is delicious. Service was fairly quick; 20 minutes for 5 pizzas and over a dozen empanadas.

This is the cutest little place. We passed by this pizza place on the way to town and was drawn to…read morethe pizza stand in a refurbished old train car, and the smell of wood fire. There are some benches and lawn chairs in the front of the place. Like many businesses in France, this place is only open for lunch (12-2pm) and dinner (6-10pm). The owner operates by himself and during dinner time there are a lot of pick up orders, so expect a wait of up to 40 minutes. But the wait is well worth it. And be patient, there's only the owner doing everything. If there are no orders ahead of you, the wait is as little as 10 minutes. Some years ago we had a really good pizza in Italy and have been searching for something similar to no avail. At La Roulotte we finally found the perfect thin crust, wood fired pizza. We've tried fancy places in the US that claim to be Neapolitan pizza certified but honestly those can't even hold a candle to this place. We tried four different pizzas in our two visits here: Napolitaine: tomato base, mozarella, olives, capers, olives and oregano Forestiere: cream, mozzarella, mushrooms, onions, bacon, ham, garlic Romana: tomato, mozzarella, parma ham (or breasola), tomatoes, arugula, basil Valdostana: tomato, mozzarella, smoked bacon, egg, garlic Honestly I liked all of the pizzas. The crust was just perfect. Out of the four, the Forestiere and Romana are the real winners. I really liked the Valdostana too, the egg on it tasted really fresh. The Napolitaine got a little too salty, with the capers, olives and anchovies attacking your tastebuds at the same time.

We stopped in last evening after finding so many restaurants closed. We sat inside in the front…read moreroom by the cashier bar and kitchen, no doubt the busiest spot in the place. You might not like that table, and the hostess seemed hesitant when offering it, but we found it to be a good spot for watching all the happenings going on with the staff and the take out business. I have not seen such a hard working staff in a long time! Their managers should commend them. Very professional, courteous, helpful, even though we don't know much French Beyoncé "merci". It turns out the food is as good as the service. For a starter we had a small bottle of red wine. We asked for the boldest, driest red they had and what was delivered did not disappoint. "Centosere Pala" It's shown in my photos. Some focaccia bread was delivered and we asked for olive oil and balsamic. Oh my that bread is fantastic. For dinner we split a Pork Milanese with Frits and a Calabrese calzone only made as a pizza so as to have less bread. Both were excellent! Truly the best meal we have had in a while. For desert we had a couple of items that I don't recall the names but they were also excellent. Mine was a pistachio ice cream with a nougat of caramel in the center, hers was meringues with vanilla ice cream drenched in espresso with whipped cream. I haven't seen her so happy in a long while! We enjoyed these with a couple of very large cappuccino's. I may never get back to this part of the world again, but if I do I will return here! There is one other review here, in Italian, and it's "not recommended" and so it is hidden. I read it. It's positive and it's accurate. No clue why they would hide it.
