The 'fair grounds' on the outskirts of Milan.
We took the metro to Rho Fiera Milano station from central Milan to visit the holiday market. Be sure to purchase the extended travel metro ticket as ATM personnel are on hand to verify you have the correct ticket when departing the metro terminal and collecting the fine on the spot.
The holiday market, inside several exhibit halls, included booths from all over the world. India, Asia, France, Ireland, the different regions of Italy and so on. You could spend days in here looking at everything. We stopped at several of the restaurants for lunch, beverages and snacks.
A wrapping area and a shipping area were available for those who wanted the services.
This venue is quite large. The interior walkway is actually open to the elements so we would put on our coat moving between exhibit halls, while overhead is a metal roof and restaurants line the central pathway. Each exhibit hall had an 'info' area where maps of the exhibit halls were available to visitors. Some halls are much larger than others.
This event space is great for large event like the holiday market or for smaller event that require only one or two event halls. Easy to access by metro, train or car, it is clean and modern. read more
