We moved my mother into the community in November 2018. During her time at the community, she…read moreenjoyed most of the activities, meals and staff. She had a large 1-bedroom apartment that had been well-maintained. The facility is older and needs a few updates (some of which have been done recently). While Mom was well, this was a perfect place for her. Unfortunately, Mom started to decline soon after moving in and she had to move out in April 2019 and into a nursing home. The staff at the community were kind and concerned about Mom's health. We did use outside services for a brief time to check on her & ensure medications had been taken. Mom only spent 66 days in her apartment out of the six months she had leased. She is doing well in her new place at the nursing home. The lease is month-to-month. The community requires a 30-day notice for move-out. There is a catch - if you voluntarily move out and do not give notice at the end of the month, you will be held over until the end of the following month (i.e. give notice on the 2nd of January, you are financially obligated through the end of February). Even if a resident dies, 30 days notice is required. The language in Mom's lease was a bit confusing - stating that if she required a higher level of care, the lease terminates. It also doesn't specify if wraparound applies to death or if the facility terminates the lease. My point of bringing this up is to make CERTAIN you understand the stipulations up front. The facility management pointed to corporate's guidelines and that "their hands were tied". One would think that if a resident required a higher level of care, only a 30-day notice would be sufficient (as is law in Tennessee). The practice seems a bit unfair in holding a senior on a limited budget beyond a reasonable notice period. Also, make sure you have a plan in place should your loved one need assistance with anything - this is not an assisted living facility, nor do they have nurses on site. We knew this up front, but didn't have a clear plan in place should Mom's condition change.

And Katy with Addus, an in-house provider of al a carte care services. Yes, they are all kind and respectful. What is truly appreciated is how responsive they are, helping us navigate this new journey. My sister and I anguished for months, wish we had Let Go and Let God sooner. God works through these women.

If I could give negative stars, I would…read more Nope, nope, and nope. I would not recommend this place to anyone, even my worst enemy. I'm digusted with everything this place did. Sure, there are some great nurses and some great staff, but the overall experience was horrendous. I pulled my mother out ASAP. She consistently got worse. I don't care for the NP at all. Too bad they were able to get as much money as they did from her. They even tried taking additional funds from her account, and when I called them out on it, they said, "we don't need authorization." That right there is a load of crap. Since my mom has been under my care, her health has drastically improved. She walks more, is clean, and doesn't live in filth. The day we moved her out, her room was disgusting. So disgusting that a lot of things had to be thrown away. They even threw things out of my mothers that were so sentimental to her. They had no right. And they don't even care about it. I'm disappointed in myself for even thinking this place would benefit her. I expected so much from them, but everything they said was an absolute lie. I've since spoken to other people who worked there in the past, and they even said they wouldn't put their family in there. They should be ashamed of themselves.

My husband arrived after 6 so most administrative staff had left. He was not greeted, not given any…read moreinstruction of what to expect, placed in a room checked in by a nurse who was frustrated to have to settle him in. Did not want to deal with any personal items he might have . Got him in bed then left. Did not even give indication of when he would be checked on or given nite meds. When it was finally determined he needed oxygen they did not have tubing, canula, or adapter for CPAP. I supplied all of these. Staff treated him like a criminal, most showed no humanity. Before his passing in ER he was holding 5000 cc of fluid. Was never given his fluid retention medication. We complained and were punished for it. They want you to remain silent and wait and wait for attention.
