Field to Fork is an amazing addition to our little area between Islington and Hackney - we really needed something unpretentious in an area that is becoming a bit too yuppy-esque for its long-time residents.
The food here is amazing - today I went with a friend and had homemade beef stew that really tasted like mum would have made it. My friend had generous and delicious cheese crumpets, and we followed it with a coffee and chocolate eclairs. We split the bill and it came to £9 each, which in this neighbourhood is really amazing value for a delicious meal.
I go several times a week now and have so far only had delicious and fresh vegetables and fruit. The flowers are great, as is the butcher.
The family who runs this place has plenty of experience - between them there is a butcher, a greengrocer (they run the place in Highbury), a baker and a florist.
Great food and fresh produce run by an unpretentious family with years of experience.
