Reading through the comments... Like any new app | innovation, it can be somewhat intimidating and frustrating to learn, adapt to changes and communicate clearly | effectively. It's not always fun, but working through and eventually figuring things out, one thing at a time, has helped reframe |reform my mindset towards life challenges, similar to continuously learning Field Agent since I started a few months ago. I've had my fair share of distractions about denials until I shifted my mindset from complaining or automatically thinking things are scams etc., started to submit tickets communicating with clarity my perspective on jobs that were denied. I have been able to get accurate and sometimes not so accurate reply's, where I was able to communicate further leading to Reversed | Approved Submissions. I know, like anything in else, especially in these times it can be frustrating to experience what some have in the comments with the app so far. With some accountability | willingness to improve | respect to the Ticket agents and committing to learning the app as you go....can be a blessing to you as it has been to me at times. Good to see Michael in here replying to each comment too...I started to look him up on LinkedIn until realized that the guy from Eye Spy videos teaching us how to complete the task, then realizing he was the creator of the app. Wish Field Agent and its team continued growth | scale! read more

This was a frustrating experience from start to finish. The application is full of bugs to even access the task and submit it. I followed the instructions and examples to a T. All tasks except for a 3$ one was rejected for errors that did not exist. Customer Service was just as frustrating and gave false errors. It felt very much like a scam. I joined at the request of a friend who did different tasks and had the same experience. You are not able to cash out because it requires a minimum of 15$. (One task was rejected as it requested to take multiple vertical photos of the bread aisle and not show a price tag, which is impossible at a grocery store) read more

I started doing field agent a couple of months ago and it was good enough. I had 81 agent score and 100% accuracy but my account just got banned due to them saying I has multiple accounts tied to my number and used over 30 responses being computer generated. This is bad service and seems like a hoax to avoid a pay out. I have neither used or had any others tied to my account and only taken actual pictures at requested jobs. It's sad to be treated like this after offering my best and taking a ton of pictures and even eating multiple subs. However, if they can track accounts better than this, be wary and def cash out regularly so they don't freeze you and keep money. read more

I really love doing Field Agent and I've had really honestly nothing but a great experience the whole time for years now. I'm surprised to see all the negative reviews on here. I've rarely had a problem with my jobs being approved, but it does happen on occasion. Overall, I love Field Agent. I try to arrange doing jobs when I'm going places are on the way to and from work picking up a little extra money here and there all the time it's made a big difference in my life. Overtime we've been able to pay for things with this income, so it's helped our budget some If you're thinking about trying Field Agent out my experiences, I highly recommend it and my interactions with staff have really been great. read more

I was enjoying doing this until I did a shelf gram. I've done them before but usually they paid a lot more. They denied two of my $3 jobs that together took over a half hour to perform. Then they froze my account after I complained. Preventing me from cashing out of my balance. Now they are holding the money I've earned that they actually approved! Big waist of time and energy. I did every step by the book, piece by partial piece to complete a secret shop. I've also worked for a secret shopper company in the past, so I'm prepped for tedious, longer jobs. Field Agent is trying to tell me that I did not complete the job at the location but rather in my car and REFUSED TO PAY ME. Meanwhile, my phone will ping in states I have never even visited aka it can be wrong!! The parking lot for my car was right next to the building so yes, my car could have picked up considering I was sitting next to it by the window of the establishment. ** CHECK THE BBB reports, etc! This is a common move for them. They make up bogus reasons to not pay and have no proof. I'm livid. read more

I've completed 6 audits. 2 of them were easy only requiring a couple of photos regarding a specific item and those were approved but only paid $5. The other 4 were store audits requiring you to walk around the entire store taking over 57 photos from every department as requested. These take a lot of time and is never pleasant as customers and workers are suspicious as to why youre just walking around taking pics. Unfortunately these were also the highest paying at only $15 each and all 4 were initiall denied. After numerous emails back and forth i managed to get 3 of them approved but this 4th one doesnt even tell me why it was denied. Overall, i feel like the amount of effort is not proportionate to the time it takes and it seems to me that if field agent can find a way to get out of paying you, they will try. Only do this for supplemental income that youre willing to argue just to get payment for. read more

Whoever is reviewing submissions for the chocolate, candy, and gum Christmas AND main sections and displays needs to be fired. I wasted my time with these, followed every instruction, only to be disqualified for taking a photo of a main chocolate section when prompted to. A very good supplemental source of income. Nothing more, nothing less. I've made thousands. Most of the negative reviews are people who struggle to follow instructions and struggle with attention to detail. Truth bomb. I specialize in Eye Spys. People give up on them too easily. I make a large chuck of money on Eye Spys alone. I also specialize in conducting Audits. The audits require precise photos and following instructions. Field Agent is very good at detailing what they expect from you. Field Agent is very fair when it comes to denied jobs. I present my case with my evidence and the denied job becomes approved! Mistakes happen- on both sides. My approval % is 97. The weakness with Field Agent is the consistency of pay. Some days you earn a decent chunk of money. Some days you get peanuts. It's first come, first serve. Some stability would be nice. Another weakness with Field Agent is sometimes the work isn't efficient. If you aren't careful, you may waste a lot of gas and get paid little. Strategically selecting audits and other jobs based on your location is a good idea. My hope is that this work leads to a well paying job related to retail and merchandising. read more

Field Agent is another "typical" Gig Opportunity. It's truly sad that the clients these types of companies appear to attract are only interested in getting the market research they need at the lowest possible cost. If they actually hired people in their own company to do the work, they would be forced to pay a minimum wage and compensate for the travel time and mileage accrued in conducting the work. They don't want to pay the cost of getting the information they are seeking, and so they choose instead to exploit gullible consumers looking for a way to make a little extra money. Problem is, most of the people they get have no real idea of the costs associated with doing the jobs. Field Agent, their clients, and other companies like them prey on these people, paying them pittances that would barely cover the time it takes to actually conduct the survey, but not taking into account the other costs associated. Instead, because they know the people who agree to work for them typically are not aware of these costs, they choose to pass what are actually THEIR COSTS OF DOING BUSINESS onto the contractors they exploit. In turn, the contractors typically quickly become frustrated and disgusted with the exploitation and most only last a very short amount of time. There are a few, like myself, who have developed methods of working with some of these companies using methods that can cover the actual cost of doing the work . But it takes a lot of business knowledge and perserverance to manage the costs of doing the business, the ability to forecast and plan a schedule that will permit the work to be completed in a fiscally responsible manner, and ultimately doesn't create enough profit to call what you are doing a "profitable business". When this method of market research, known as "Mystery Shopping" began back in the 1980's, businesses saw the value of consumer-gathered data and began contracting to get the higher quality data than they had been receiving by "going to the horse's mouth", this gig could be done profitably, because the focus was not so much on exploitation, rather on getting the data the clients needed to grow their businesses. At that time, most Mystery Shoppers were just looking for a "little bit of pocket money" or a "free meal" and it worked fairly well. But then, as economic changes occurred, and the clients began demanding more expert types of information in the data gathered, the independent contractors developed more professionalism and began to become wiser about running their side-hustle businesses. Many of them, like myself, developed the little side-hustle into high-level consulting businesses where they began working with the retail corporations that had been being shopped in a consulting capacity to protect the interests of the retailer and provide better service to the consumer. However, those independent contractors who were still only interested in the side-hustle of Mystery shopping found themselves with greater demands from the mystery shopping companies and their clients, which translated into higher costs of doing the jobs, and greater demands on their time--all without appropriate adjustment to the compensation being offered by most of the mystery shopping companies. There were a few that saw the writing on the wall, and increased their compensation so it was commensurate with the work being demanded, but most of the companies did not, because their clients had become complacent with the ability to get the services they were demanding at slave-labor compensation, and were highly resistant to paying more for the services they were getting. The result of the entire cycle is that for "professional gig-workers" who make a full-time living doing these types of assignments, the work has become much more difficult to get, and many of the jobs we accepted before cannot be completed profitably for what the mystery shopping company will pay. I know that personally, I refuse far more offers than I even consider accepting, and those I do accept, are extremely carefully vetted to be sure they are cost effective to complete. I have the latitude to do that because I operate on a much larger scale than most of the gig workers out there. For those gig-workers who are interested only in a side-hustle, there really isn't a lot of latitude to move within. The mystery shopping industry is dying. Fewer and fewer companies are out there doing the work because they don't have the ability to take the responsibility of pivoting so they can charge the fees necessary to get the work done by the independent contractors. They end up with unprofessionals who sporadically and ineffectually complete jobs, much of the time with lower accuracy and poor quality in the results--all because they can't (or won't) pay a fair rate. The only real solution is for companies like Field Agent to "put on their big boy pants" and do a better job of negotiating contracts with the client companies. read more

I don't understand why this keeps happening to me. I have do jobs on many stores that are permanently closed and take the customary one picture and submit the job. Almost immediately the jobs are denied with the reason given is... Not at the correct location. I ask for a review on the decision and a couple of days later the jobs are approved. This creates a unnecessary delay on me getting paid. Also why does it take you guys and only you guys days for our funds to show up in our account. Other platforms that do the cashout thing take minutes for us to get our money. Please step up your game and pay us the money owed us minus the wait game you play with us. Worst support staff ever Stressful and unreliable. I do not recommend this app to anyone. It's impressive how a company can lose users simply due to the poor quality of their technical support. I reported a technical error that occurred within the app during a task. All I received was a denial of my task and an automated response stating that I should have paid more attention. I had to do another task, this time recording my phone screen to prove that the example photo they were questioning did not appear during the mission. What is the confidence in an app that you invest money and time in when you don't have technical support that recognizes that it was actually a technical error within the app during the mission? The technical support is not at all prepared to deal with people, there is no affection in the messages, they do not evaluate the reports with any criteria, they only know how to say the same automated message that the mission needs to be done with more attention. And so the user ends up looking like a fool asking for help from something that no one in support accepts was a technical error within the app during the mission. I felt alone and in the dark. Such a waste of time. I drove out half an hour for a task that said it would pay $13. It said products on display BUT it did not say what to do if the products were not on one of the three display types. I went ALL the way to the store, found all four items, TOOK PICTURES of exactly where they were and how they were arranged and then got $0 because I answered the first question yes instead of no. Instead of letting me fix the answers, after all, I did take the specific pictures of the products in the shelf, they decided that I would get nothing. Spent over an hour and a half around the store taking pictures, filling out the questions, and trying to find all the products, spent an hour driving, and then spent over half an hour trying to explain this to the service agent. $13 for 3 hours of work is already pathetic, and then factor in the fact that I got 0... this is not even including all the times I have gone all the way to stores to look for items that do not exist. read more

I have been a Field Agent for about 4 years now..I have taken part in product reviews (a Char broil grill, Calphalon pots/pans, yogurt maker, a beer dispenser, a Wi-Fi scale, among many other items), have done numerous Field Agent jobs and have been paid consistently via PayPal and now direct deposit..This is real..not a scam, and I have screenshots of my stats to prove it..Yes I have had a few jobs denied payment due to a crappy pic here and there but it rarely happens. I agree with other reviewers who say that the Eye Spy and Scavenger task's descriptions leave much to be desired. It can be difficult to figure out what the item is or where it could possibly be found in the store. Discouraging and a waste of time to finally find the exact item but the upc doesn't match. However it's great when everything clicks. I don't participate in the Buy & Try alcohol tasks because my state of Washington only allows a 50% refund. However I do enjoy trying and reviewing other products. Customer service has always been responsive and given me great feedback. read more

I enjoy this app I lobe traveling to stores my only complaint is the eye spy there is no chance to finding same product with exact barcode I find the product just always few numbers off I go to 3 different places for one product amd it's the same I feel they should compensate the people that scan everything correctly and do all instructions even if there afew numbers off at least give a few dollars to them for going out of their way. read more

Love this app/haven't had a problem yet? You will. It has 2.5 stars for a reason. The only good reviews from googling just now were from field agent themselves and review with affiliate links etc meaning he is getting paid when you click on the field agent link to sign up. Beware. I also did field agent for 2 years. Made $1000 doing it a few times a month not including the money I spent out for little ceasars and McDonald's mystery shops. I noticed I made a bit below minimum wage in my area but as long as you don't make a separate trip for one task and dont expect to get paid for all of them it can be o.k. of course if you complain their task is flawed like my Costco one was they just deactivate you like you didn't complete 300 tasks for them over 2 years. They do not treat their agents well. My Costco one was across town and supposed to be 14 dollars to check adult diapers and women's hygiene. The part in question was the incontinence items (adult diapers). They wanted 1 photo per product on it's pallet with price tags above it like I was able to do for the pads in that aisle. Unfortunately the adult diapers had 3 different items on one pallet with 3 price tags jumbled above them. I took 3 photos of the same to indicate 3 items but they said I had duplicate photos and didn't pay me for the entire task! When I argued that 1 photo would have had 3 products and also been against their instructions but if they want they can delete my duplicate photos they deactivated my account! Okay then. What they say goes! In the past I also had a Walmart task where they wanted a HORIZONTAL photo of the entire aisle but it was too narrow to back up enough to get the very top and bottom. It would have been possible with a vertical photo. Sometimes their tasks just dont work and there is no one to contact to see how they would like you to proceed. They take no responsiblity for the tasks not working. They just waste *your* time and money in that case. I had read reviews and this happens often but it had not happened to me.. until it did. It will to you one day. Beware. If you bite the bullet and just dont complain then they may not deactivate you but they dont change their mind so *you pay* for *their mistakes* I see the one review where they say field agent looks for any reason to deny you. I wonder about that also. They get paid you don't. Sounds like a win for them. I have only had about 5 out of 200 or 300 tasks denied payment so I'm not sure they are **that** bad but this is my 2nd new account I made with them. Deactivation for complaining is *quite common* I see and I only sweared on the 3rd email when I noticed that all the available tasks disappeared (how they deactivated both my accounts). They didn't deactivate per se they just remove all the tasks for you. One account they just did that now and then one a year ago when I complained about the Walmart horizontal picture not being possible in that aisle) There are only jobs usually on fridays and Saturdays in my area but I think they get picked up pretty fast. And DO NOT travel for a task. It is more gas than the task is and as you see they might not pay you. Just do it if you are already planning to go there. I don't know how people say they can do $100 in a day on 4 and 6 dollar tasks. I get it..if you do enough of them. There aren't enough of them in my area. It's just a a bit of pocket change here. For all you guys who didn't get paid.. when are we doing that class action to get our settlement? I'll join. I have never felt more degraded, disrespected, exploited and gaslighted by any one company in my life. They should really rename the app Slave Agent. They want you to believe that all the people who complain about them not paying are not following instructions and are taking blurry photos and this is a lie. They are essentially racist pimps and the people who are actually paid on this app are apart of America's racial majority. I've been taking notice of who says they haven't been having issues and I see what's going on. Also my roommate who is a White male - we live in the same home and shop together - would be seeing a long list of jobs whereas I would see none in my app. This is deliberate. The company does their utmost not to pay us and they swear up and down that they don't use the information we send but I believe this is a huge lie. They are always providing wrong information and then we work hard to discover the right info and we send that in and they deny the job even though the info THEY sent was totally bogus. Overall, this company needs to be audited for their business practices because they have found a way to obtain free labor under the guise of paying work. I have already been having several conversations with your "team". It hasnt done any good. I still have wasted my time and gas without fitting anything out of it. I am worried about doing any other jobs in your app for fear of not getting paid for them. I did the 10 jobs before the end of the day so I could be entered into the sweepstakes and I always try to do the ticket jobs and have never won anything, has anyone won anything. If they have maybe you should publish the names and states of the people that win. I also have lost my good rating in the app because of all the denials that I got for doing all those jobs that I thought were correct. Live and learn and warn everyone else about the scam. field agent is an ok company to do task for and there customer service is usually good but I'm just going to honest they don't pay enough for task. it's going to take you an hour or more driving to town & back & at least 20-45 minutes depending on the task & 3-5 dollars for an hour & gas isn't sufficient. task pay should be no lower than 8 dollars and task should range from 8-15 depending on the time, location and amount of work it will take. With the gig economy being so accessible today I don't see field agent staying in business. theres just to many ways to make reasonable money these days then to spend an hour driving to a store walking around, taking photos of displays and then going back to your car to upload and do a survey and then drive home or to another store if your lucky enough to have other task in your area. just to do the same thing all over again for 3-5 dollars isn't worth it because when all is said and done you worked for an hour and a half at the very least and you've made 6-10 dollars for two task or you worked for an hour on one task and earned 3-5 dollars plus you've used up your gas driving to town and now you have to drive home because there's no task left in your area. I used to use Field Agent pretty often back when the gig economy didn't exist But I never made much money but it was all I had and I lost more money than I was making putting gas in my car and then you take the little money you've made buying things to try to make money to test them out and then you have to wait to get reimbursed and paid for them and your only making about 2-5 to buy and try something and the pay usually was around three dollars most of the time, but sometimes it was less. I've seen them do 50 cents and that is just ridiculou. now I never do a task unless it's 10 dollars or more and that only happens when a task has been sitting there for a week and expired numerous times because no one has taken it. Then they will gradually up the pay on the task to get it done, but if you can afford to pay a fair wage when the task isn't being done, why don't you just offer to pay a fair wage to begin with? If it doesn't change, Field Agent is going to die because people just have too many options to work from home these days and get paid a decent wage. I actually loved the though, but they don't pay enough to even make you a little pocket change because again you're wasting that amount of money and gas going to the stores And you're losing money spending your day doing it because you could be using that time working for another gig app that's paying a decent wage. Dishonest business practices. They had a multi-sku audit task up for about a week but no one in my area was completing them. I completed about 10-15 of these task BEFORE they're system went down. After they're system came back up, they offered a $1000​ as there were still a ton of these audits left on the app on the days of the program. Long story short, I ended up completing 30+ of these task. The drawing was supposed to be held yesterday (7/7) but I haven't heard a single word back. No email, no app update, nothing. This is so frustrating as these task were EXTREMELY time consuming and I was kicked out of store MULTIPLE times as they require to be in a store for a really long time taking pictures with no type of documentation to verify what your actually doing.
