I felt completely lost and overwhelmed with fear of the unknown. As soon as the meeting was over I felt the first sense of hope that I had felt in a few months. Mike explained to me what was really going to take place. He also advised me on how to conduct myself and prepare to generate the best possible outcome which is extremely important. He was responsive via phone, email and text whenever I needed him...even when I interrupted his family vacation (sorry Mike!). Mike knows the law and he's not afraid to stand up on behalf of his client to protect their rights even when he's standing before the judge on your behalf. Thanks to Mike Schmitt I came out of this divorce in so much better shape than I could have ever allow myself to think possible when I walked into his office for the first time feeling all defeated. He is the only Divorce Attorney that I have and will continue to recommend to friends facing the same life changing experience. "MONEY"... For everyone that is the first concern when hiring a lawyer. Mike listened to my situation and his first priority was giving me the help I needed. When it came to money he worked within my means and was extremely affordable especially considering the level of representation that he provides. To be fair, the results he delivered outweighed anything he charged me by a long margin. Mike's a no BS attorney and a no BS business man. You can go elsewhere and pay 4 times as much but you're not going to get 4 times the representation... you're just paying for another law firms billboards and radio commercials! If you're reading this, you're probably in a tough spot and I remember that feeling. Do yourself a favor and set an appointment with Mike. For me it was literally the moment that I started the process of taking back the control over my life and future. For me to take the time to write this long of a review I hope you'll recognize it's because I'm just so thankful and I hope he can help others the way he has helped me.

I was literally ignored by the WC Insurance Company and by my employer, actually it was worse than that. So I decided that it is time to reach out and I emailed Segar & Sciortino. I was most impressed that the founder, Atty John Bansbach called me back himself. After calling a dozen or so law firms and requesting to speak to the lawyer that would be handling my cases, and only getting legal aides to "pass on" the information, has been disappointing. Not criticizing their knowledge but I would prefer to not have an "in-between" person. My expectation was to be able to build a rapport with the lawyer handling my case , make sure we are on the same page and ascertain if our point of views are aligned . Factors critical to successfully represent me and my meeting my needs. This law firm met that expectation. Atty. I found John to be quite personable, and our first conversation already gave me the impression that he was genuine, not just another lawyer trying to make a buck off me. I explained my situation and he gave me sound advice to ensure I would be protected and get matters done with reasonable cost. While I did get the impression his office was busy, it never took too long before they either called me back or gave me updates by email. If it was important or I had a direct question John would call me back personally, otherwise Brent at his front office handled the day to day legwork. I hit a snag and had to delay the work and John did not skip a beat to pick up the work and same quote months later. Once I gave him even more details, he gave me more advice to save even more money, and the transaction completed smoothly in the time that he estimated. Because of the money saved he sent me back the remainder. While we both were too busy to actually meet in person, I would not hesitate to use his services again. I find John to be sincere in his efforts to help me, and did not nickel and dime me for everything. Extremely professional.
