One word keeps popping into my head when describing the Donauzentrum: LARGE!…read more It just keeps going on and on and on. A take a right and you are over the road and into a huge food court/movie complex. A little further on though a narrow walkway and it opens up onto another huge area of shops. Wow! For a "city centre" shopping mall this is pretty impressive. So far the easiest shopping centre to get to (no free buses required here) just a few stops away from Stephansplatz and directly outside Kagran station. All the main stores and chains are here as well, including the aforementioned Cinema and food hall. Such interesting food options include SUBWAY, a crêpe stand and Wok Ice! Very varied options. Well lit and bright and clean this has got to be my favourite shopping centre as yet in Vienna.

They adapted a little bit. There are more sitting possibilities, but still not enough…read more The washroom area right at the netrance, on the upper floor to the right at the escalator is nicely, if not in a luxury way, developped. There are leather-like chairs and a couch and there is also a built-in aquarium with nice fish for waiting children to see - great idea. No crazy guards annoying customers, super! But the shopping center suffers a bit, because of the U1-station Kagran right at the opposite street and the people that hang around there. People, women with small children, children alone and handicapped have to enter the doorways whilst drunkards, all kinds of weirdos are almost preventing them from entering the underground station, some even ask, almost force you to give them some money - THAT keeps customers from coming and buying! Besides THAT is a very very bad reputation for the city of Vienna!!! The shopping center is still great, but be careful on the way to go there!!! The guards should not be in the center, but at the U1-station!!!!

This is the third time I visited the G3…read more Well, the Shuttle Bus Service has been adapted which is a big "Plus". On Fridays and Saturdays the intervalls are 15 minutes which is great. There are still lots of people waiting, but it is much better as people are also allowed to board the bus while waiting as soon as the bus arrives. The bus guard on Friday evening (January 10th, 2014) was great, very helpful, attentive to people showing great language skills, too. During the ride there are very helpful announcements concerning the shopping center. You also learn that the free shuttle service is additional to the regular local bus lines, Well this is another big "Plus" as there has never been such an information neither on the Internet nor somewhere else around the bus lines or the center and it was also not possible to use them to go there. Besides you learn that the energy by which the resort is run is bio-energy. Lots of wood is used as construction material which gives the whole construction a warm touch. This is also very helpful for people working at the G3! ATTENTION!! The local bus lines stop at the country lane Seyring B7/G3 Shopping Resort in front of the shopping center. Post bus 1010 (431(, 1012 (431) as well as Dr. Richard's bus lines 7552, 426 and 420. All bus terminals are at train station Floridsdorf respectively at the "Floridsdorfer Spitz". The washrooms, the kindergarden "Tree House" as well as the main places offering "waterfalls" as playgrounds for the children and rest areas for the adults are still the highlights. The big "Minus - Bus Shuttle Service" has been turned into a big "Plus", wow!!!! Hats off for a customer-friendly reaction that also saves lives (injured people at the bus stop at the beginning because of fights for seats on the bus"!!!!

I am an American that has been to this shopping mall at least three times and I love it every time…read more The cleanliness and creativity shown throughout the mall are great. I could spend hours here just exploring the unique stores we don't have in the U.S. I love visiting Primark (the European ones are always better) and all the little shops and restaurants. They also have a Billa Plus in case you need to throw in some grocery shopping.

Wien Mitte - The Mall is the biggest and newest mall right in the center of Vienna and can be…read moreeasily reached by trains from all directions, especially from the airport and by undergrounds U3 and U4. It opened to the public on Thursday, April 25th, 2013. The most stupid thing you can do with a new mall is not to show any direct links to the shops and restaurants on the homepage of the mall. The homepage of the mall has a very ugly design and does not give the information people are looking for when they want to get to know more about the location - no common sense at all!!! The design is very impressive, the technical security is at first sight ok. The shop mix is very good, the elevators work and there are enough. There are also enough staircases and escalators. The position and amount of securities is good. Although thier knowledge about what to find where is poor. There are some information points which is good and compensates for that. But you ask the securities first when you are new to the center and don't know where the info points are. The big plus is that all major transportation companies have information shops there. CAT - train to the airport has the biggest office at the Mall. Wiener Linien - is responsible for all Viennese undergrunds, trams and busses. OEBB - the main Austrian train company. There are also enough ticket machines and monitors. The big minus is that there are already lots of malls in and around Vienna. There are not really new shops and people have not much more money to spend. Tourists of course will drop in coming from the airport, as it is one of the major stops of the airport train, but they would not spend much money there as they want to do some sightseeing first before spending money for shopping. AND - because of the amount of people you will have problems at the train and underground stations on the long run. The restaurants are great, but this also means that all other shops and restaurants around will lose business, economically not very well-planned.

Came to this mall today. It's architecturally beautiful, but nothing impressive. The usual clothing…read morestores, toy shops, electronic and restaurants. Has a market as well, but I did not stop to shop. I did however stop at its food court for some food. A nice place for the weary traveler such as my self to grab a bit to eat, window shop, pass the time, or even buy a few provisions for the road.
