This is the place where I was a child. I loved to climb up all the way to the castle and enjoyed…read morethe view over this very old town from the lovely garden. Quedlinburg without the castle - that wouldn't be possible.
If you go up you will find the restaurant "Schloßkrug" on the left side, which is a nice place to sit and see the roofs of Quedlinburg.
On the left there is the entrance to the castle, but also the one to the "Stiftskirche" - a really old church, where they exhibit the treasure that was robbed during the second world war. I the crypt there is the grave of Heinrich I., but you can not go there.
In 2007 "The Name of the Rose" was played here as a theatre play, which is planned to be continued.
Inside the castle there's an exhibition with orgiginal objects from the old centuries.
