This has got to be the worst propane company in existence. I placed an order to have a tank set and filled at the beginning of October. The workman cancelled the order because he needed help moving the tank. I was not contacted that the order was cancelled, so I wasted a day waiting for nobody to show up. Calling customer service is a joke. On their recording, they say you can leave your number and they will call back without losing your place in the queue. They never call back. When I actually talked to a person, they say they have to get some information from someone else and will call me back. They never do. My tank was finally placed on December 12, over 2 months after the order was placed. Now I am trying to get the tank filled. I am still waiting. This company SUCKS! read more

Sad that I had to give one star to allow this review! Our tank was supposed to be on auto fill but wasn't and we found out the hard way. For their holiday they don't have heat or fuel for hot water or cooking . It is suddenly very cold and Thanksgiving. I called Ferrell gas immediately and was told that I would just be put in the line up of scheduled fills and that it could be a week! A week in the winter without fuel. It would make more sense that we would be considered an emergency since the tank completely empty. I am now in the process of purchasing a tank from a competitor. I have other accounts and they will be moved elsewhere. read more

The worst! This last Monday we called to have our gas tank filled, and was told that we must prepay for our gas to be filled. That is fine as to insure the price doesn't go up prior to the delivery. We then asked when they would be able to make the delivery. They assured us it would be no later than the following Friday and that we would need to be home. At 4:45pm on Friday they haven't shown up yet, so we call since we had to stay home all day. First a telephone tree (automated) then switched to a person, then to another person finally. The informed my wife that she was wrong about the date, and that it would be another week. We had pre-payed for the gas and service to be completed. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I have a vacation rental cabin in Blue Ridge and Ferrellgas provides the gas for the propane tank for my cabin. My account is set on "Auto Refill" so the tank is never suppose to run out. Well it did...in the middle of a renter's stay. I had to credit the renter some money, and it cost me a bad rating for my cabin for running out of gas in the middle of someone's vacation. I called Ferrellgas to follow up and while the girl was apologetic when I nicely discussed my displeasure, I was not offered any compensation at all...was just told my usage amount had been updated and it shouldn't happen again. That's all well and good, but doesn't help my bad rating. I feel I should have received some sort of credit. Update 3/23/17: Shelly with Ferrellgas called me and apologized for the oversight on letting us run out of gas and gave me a credit for my trouble. Shelly was easy to work with, very professional, and let me know if I ever had trouble again to call her direct. Therefore, I have upgraded my rating. Thank you Shelly for reaching out. read more
