A Tita lives there therefore giving us the privilege to enter the premises and use their facilities (it's exclusive to members/unit owners and guests only). Probably the highlight and selling point of this place is the pool area. Their swimming pool is so big, it can compete with other swimming pools in the five-star hotels in Manila. It looks really nice, and surrounded with lush greenery and relaxing day beds, you might even forget that you're in Las Piñas. On days when I dream of the beach but planning an out of town trip would seem too exhausting, going there with my daughter is the best substitute. Near the pool is the clubhouse, which has some lounge areas, a small gym, a KTV room, and a function room. It almost feels like a vacation place, except that they don't serve or sell food in the club house. It's okay, you can bring a caterer for events (as long as the member vouches for their entry), or call for delivery at some of the dining establishments nearby.

However, it was only a few years after that I was able to see it for myself. We did a wedding at Hacienda Isabella and I must say that I was glad to finally see it. It's a sprawling property reminiscent of Old Asia, with several casitas, a pool, a main house, and a lawn. The vast lawn was where we had the wedding reception and it easily fit 300 guests. I think it could probably fit more. For those who just want a weekend getaway, they have rooms for a reasonable fee. What I liked most was the main house where a long wooden table with equally long wooden benches are, serving as the main dining table in the house where a few rooms are located.

We were both happy and satisfied when we checked out The Monochrome because it is an events place (complete with clean rest rooms and airconditioning) but it also opens to a wonderful view of the (man-made) lake and some greenery. We chose to have our reception during noon time so we can take advantage of the natural light. I had an easy time dealing with them for my wedding. They were approachable and assisted me throughout the planning months. Since it's very bare and mostly white, it is easy to decorate the place according to how you want your wedding/event to be. I also like how there are enough restrooms and a specific parking lot to make it more convenient for your guests. I would definitely recommend this place for an event!

With two halls and one smaller function area in the middle, all three can be combined to accommodate up to 800 guests. The airconditioning units are elevated and built into the walls so there is even more potential for the flexibility in positioning key area like the stage, musicians, the VIP tables, etcetera. At least one side of each hall is all glass, giving guests a beautiful view of the garden and the man-made lake at a distance. Upon renting the venue, clients can also utilize the holding rooms to freshen up or use as storage. I once personally handled a wedding with the reception at Monochrome. We used the holding room for the couple to freshen-up, get retouch for make-up, and it was also from there that they made their grand entrance, descending from the stairs for all of the guests to watch.

First, the security guard asked us 10 different questions and it felt like an interrogation. We felt so unwelcome. Already, it was a terrible experience! Since we first spoke on October 5 and upon arrival, not a single person from your sales team reached out or followed up -- despite confirming the appointment for October 17 and assuring me that it was "noted." We waited for 20 minutes in your office, were eventually led to the "blue room" to meet the salespeople, and still waited endlessly. No one seemed to know what was going on. The entire experience was disorganized, unprofessional, and a total embarrassment for what's supposed to be a reputable resort. What makes this worse is that I had been messaging since October 5, trying to coordinate. Had your team shown even a fraction of professionalism, you could've had a full week's stay from guests who have shared stages with Tony Robbins and Oprah Winfrey, using your amenities daily and generating great exposure for your brand. Instead, you've shown a complete lack of awareness, urgency, and business sense. Opportunities like this don't knock twice -- and you've managed to slam the door shut on yours. Truly disappointing.

I went to Nature's Church yesterday again after failing to visit after more than a year, and I…read morecan't believe I've forgotten how beautiful this place was. From its entrance down to the minutest details, this church has the whole nature concept established. The altar and pews are made of fallen trees, Capiz lanterns shaped as doves accentuate the Anahaw ceiling. Surrounded by lush tropical plants and under a canopy of mango trees, Nature's Church is one of the nicest, most unique churches I've seen here in Manila. This place caught fire a few years ago, but it's wonderful how they have still restored its beauty. The church looks magnificent, but I'm assuming it's not that popular for weddings because it has no long aisle in the middle. The small chapel at the entrance of the church, the Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Chapel, is even more breathtaking. It's so quaint and intimate; I remember wishing I got married here. I should really come here more often, and take my daughter with me because she'll definitely love roaming around here while we're hearing mass.
