Upon arrival there was a gate on the garage and I was looked at dumbfounded by the receptionist whenever I told her this. She also yelled at me for giving the owner back the fob to the parking lot, which in return he had some words for her in front of me. I only knew he was the owner since I had talked to him during my check in and he was helping the receptionist find the key to open the gate.
The room was smaller than expected but didn't bother us since we were only going to be in the room to sleep.
Now .. most hotels have fans in the room inside of the closet, well not here. There were NO fans what so ever, the windows opened but come day break which was 0530 people were right outside our room smoking, talking, bringing out their trash and being really loud. We asked the receptionists everyday if they had fans and each one said they didn't ... so that reallllly sucked - there was ZERO air flow through our room.
But what was nice was how old school the hotel is! I loved the layout of the halls, the stairs and the ambiance of the place! They also don't use electronic keys to get into the rooms so you need to return your key whenever leaving the hotel for the day, which didn't bother us one bit because then we didn't have to worry about it!
