Great ice cream stand for a quick snack! 96 flavors and fairly inexpensive for Nice. Had a designated sitting area in Place Rosetti square which is also nice. Very friendly staff and highly recommend!

Never have I seen so many exotic gelato flavors! I and the avocado gelato, which was so yummy! Will come back to try the others. This is probably own of the best gelato stands in Nice. Crowded but worth the long lines.

Amazing gelato that is super rich and I think tastes closer tasting to ice cream than any gelatos I've ever tried before. Fast service, hefty scoops, and you pay by the number of flavors. Loved the pistachio and cappuccino!

2 euros 50 centimes (cents) for 1 boule (scoop) of ice cream. There are multiple locations, this one is in the middle of a bunch of tiny streets with interesting shops. After I bought a boule from here I wandered further and found somewhere selling 1 boule for 2 euros so tried that one too BUT Fenocchio is MUCH much better. For 50 centimes I would splurge the little extra and get a good boule of ice cream rather than a terrible one. I tried the caramel salted butter (caramel buerre sale) and was definitely not disappointed. Much saltier and creamier than other similar ice creams I've tried but in a good way. It's not a very large boule of ice cream - probably 2" or less in diameter but the price of the cup or cone is included and who needs ridiculous amounts of ice cream anyway? Service was reasonably friendly. You're not allowed any samples so choose well, or choose them all.

I'm a December baby. I also happen to be an absolute sucker for the holiday season, and so the time in between Halloween and New Years' Day was like my own personal Eden. Growing up, that meant that winter was always my indisputable favorite season. Winters in upstate New York could be hostile, sure, but they were also magical -- the way I'd luck out when a huge snowstorm would fall on my birthday and school would get cancelled, or the way the juniper trees in my backyard would look with fresh snow painted across their boughs. In my mind, summer was something along the lines of winter's evil twin -- it was hot, sticky, and not at all festive. There was one upside, however, and that was my family's vicious penchant for ice cream. Those (frequent) trips we'd take to our favorite ice cream spot, that little relic of Americana, were my hallmark of summer. I carried my deep fondness for ice cream into my adult life, and still carry it today. All of this is to say that when I find an ice cream joint that gives me that same feeling, that glimmer of proof that summer might also be deserving of a glowing reputation, I take note. Cue Glacier Fenocchio: when I arrived in Nice for a two-week stay after one of the most frustrating plane rides of my European backpacking trip, I was delighted to discover that my Airbnb was just a stone's throw from a charming glacier with a striped pink awning. Even better, it fell right along the walk to the Promenade des Anglais and the notorious rocky beaches of France's southern coast. After a few days of exploring the city and letting the sun soak into my skin as I fell asleep on the beach listening to Lana Del Rey, my traveling companion and I knew it was time to try a taste of what our neighbors were serving up a few doors over. Once the first spoonful reached my palate, I understood that there was no going back. In all honesty, I have since lost track of the number of times I visited Fenocchio during my stay, even given the multitude of stunning boulangerie-pâtisseries that speckle the city. (And let me tell you, I also happen to be a sucker for a good boulangerie-pâtisserie.) The flavor selection is extensive and impressive, ranging from riz au lait to rosemary. White chocolate, speculoos, and spice bread came in at the top of my list, although be mindful of the caveat that I came nowhere close to tasting the entire menu. What made the experience so out-of-body, so celestial, and so undeniably irreplicable, however, was the Chantilly cream. I still think about its sheer perfection even now, months later, the way it was dense and light all at once and the milky sweetness that perfectly complemented any flavor it was paired with. Nice occupies a very special and very specific niche of my heart -- the city is dazzling, to say the least. It's colorful, it's beautiful, it's peaceful (at least during the off-season), and the pace at which time moves there is silky and slippery. Is Fenocchio to thank for the extent of my love for this place? Maybe not entirely, but I think it's safe to say that it plays no small part. Read more reviews at letsgetdinner8.wordpress.com.

A lovely little shop to stumble upon

Fenocchio was a delightful discovery while strolling the charming streets of Nice's Old Town. I was intrigued at not only the selection of offerings but also the array of flavors - they offered everything from berry and caramel to olive, rose, thyme, and lavender. The first time, I went with a tame flavor and was pleasantly impressed. So, when in Old Town again for dinner, I made my way to this quaint little shop to top off the evening once again. This time, branching out and trying one of their more 'interesting' flavors - I was not disappointed! There's a reason this place can have a significant line depending on the time/day.

My daughter (10) loved this so much that she wanted to give it 1 million stars out of five stars! She especially recommends the watermelon sorbet! I got the dark chocolate (cacao) and the raspberry sorbets, and they both incredible, The whole family loved it! One scoop is not enough!

This is a must if you are in Old Town. There are two locations in the area. This one is the smaller of the two and is a block off the produce market area. The second larger stand is about five blocks in with a few more options. Don't be bashful and make your way to the front. We always found it easier to make eye contact with the associate when an opening happened. My favorites: mango, chocolate orange, and caramel. Enjoy, we did every night!

There were a ton of really awesome flavors to choose to from, which was really exciting to see. I chose the pine nut. It was odd but delicious.

Omg the ice cream/gelato and sorbet here is amazing a must try while in Old Town Nice they have every flavor imaginable from cactus to lavender. The ice cream or gelato is so creamy I could have eaten 4 scoops. My husband tried a scoop or in French a boule of pistachio and white chocolate and I had a scoop vanilla carmel and coconut which were all great choices. A perfect treat while spending a warm day adventuring through Nice.

Being tourists, we happened to come across this place bustling with locals on Saturday afternoon. We had to give it a chance and.... it was THE BEST sorbet/icecream we've EVER had in anywhere around the world!!! They must make these with fresh fruits because each bite I took was equivalent to taking a bite out of a fruit! My husband loved it so much that he went for seconds. We got the Pear, Orange & Lychee but they have unique flavors such as Cactus, Lavender, Rose, etc!

The ice cream here is REALLY worthwhile. They have a HUGE selection and they're all delicious. It's really deserving of all 5 stars. Just be aware that you will not be allowed to do any tastings before settling on a flavor.

On a sweltering hot August afternoon a few weeks ago, our first Mom & son overseas trip, we'd eagerly hunted for a pleasing looking spot for ice cream in the old town, Vieux Nice. I'd followed some yelp reviews to a different spot beginning with an F and had some extremely below average gelato. I figured maybe this was the best we could hope for in town. I was a bit disappointed but my son was happy enough just to get some ice cream at all, so we went on with our day. After a blisteringly hot climb in the mid afternoon sun to the highest overlook at the chateau park followed by a gorgeous dip in the sea, we were wending our way back through the old town once more towards the tram and back to where we were staying. Crossing the pretty square containing the Palais de Justice, my son was drawn to Qui, Gelato! and pleaded to go in. I'd mentally moved well past ice cream, it was now early evening, but it only took a moment to let go of the boring "we've already had one!" mindset and remember we're on vacation, he'll only be a kid this happy for ice cream a short while longer, and hey, life's for living. SO glad I did, because this compared to the stuff we had earlier was like night & day. Holy gelato - I'll be dreaming about this ice cream for a long while... we shared a two scoop cone: dark chocolate (son) and pistachio (me). They actually paired beautifully. Chocolate had chunks of dark chocolate inside and somehow felt so rich despite being gelato. Amazingly rich flavor without being too sweet. I'm a sucker for pistachio and this was honestly one of, if not the best I've eaten (& I've eaten a lot!). Again nothing like the overly sugary stuff we have in the US. Just heavenly. Tried to wrangle another visit to old town next day just to go back to Qui gelato on our way to the airport, but ran out of time. So please go and enjoy a scoop or two for me!

A bit pricier than alternatives in the area but their quality makes up for the premium. They do have smaller servings as well compared to the ones around. Good decoration with the wafer on top. We came here 3x and would do more if we stayed longer. I recommend trying it out!
