ET has been an amazing place to rest, our 2 older girls have found a home in the youth group and our 2 younger girls have really enjoyed the kids ministry. Pastors John and Lynette are amazing leaders who are leading a church that was once dying. This is not for the faint of heart! They are navigating it well. Pastor John preaches verse by verse and teaches the whole bible! Even hard topics! He stands outside in the lobby and meets as many new people as he can. As with any growing church there are things that just take time. I would highly recommend ET for anyone looking for a place to call home. People are kind and friendly.

There's an incredible space for kids to go during the service where they can learn about God while mom and dad are worshipping and learning. On Wednesday, there's a service for youth that's engaging and connects them to each other and to God. Evangel Temple has a long reputation of being a great church in Springfield and my family is grateful to be a part of it!

I went twice to this so called Christin Church. The first…read moretime was a pretty good service. The second time was a bit disappointing. Not a hole lot of reading from the bible. As someone new looking for a home church, I unfortunately had a forgotten my jacket after church and had to go back and get my jacket. At the same time they had a benefit luncheon going on. Once I was there at the church I had a hard time getting into the church to grab my forgotten jacket, even though members of the church seen me waiting patiently at the front doors. No now was willing to let me in. Definitely disappoint and frustrating when looking for a new home church.

The worship leader Josh Thompson I have known for 20 years, we go back to Calvary Temple. Recently Pastor Josh became the head Pastor and can NOT get enough of his teaching. He IS spit on, non judgemental in everyway. More full of Joy and live fir everyone. I came back about 6 months ago, girst Sunday I heard tge bews of his elevation in duties. He is such an annointed Worship leader, he is missed in that role. If l hadn't known him for so long, I'd think he truely is a Angel of God. Pastor Gary was wonderful to, but in his words...Josh is going to take us higher, where l could not...(that may not be word for word, but believe it to be) It takes a big man to pass on the torch of Hope to another & admire Gary for seeing the giftings Josh has. The entire church is welcoming, friendly. A very large addition for our babies to young adults, was finished recently. This investment has shown that HOPE stands up to its name, our children are the Hope for the future. Praise our creator for HOPE CHURCH. Come, Wedsday evening at 5, we have a wonderful homemade dinner in the FAMILY CENTER with worship and prayer service at 6:30. Sunday morning there are 2 services 8:30 & 10:30am. This church is rare in every way, and I can't say enough great things about this body of believers…read more God has used them to bring healing to my heart during one of the hardest seasons of my life. They have been family to me and a community of faith to help me stand in Christ. The truth that is preached here is God-breathed and comes directly from the word of God. I love that they also have much freedom in the Spirit here. Lastly they do things together as a church that you wish other places would do: movie nights, comedy shows, worship nights, schools on prayer and healing, etc. They have a heart for the Lost, with their weekly food pantry and other outreach programs. The message is on a video and worship is at the end with more options that just standing and singing. Plus it has fresh hot cookies. The first service I went to was so thought provoking that my friends and I spent hours in conversation afterward. I've been coming ever since, and not just on Sundays, but anytime the doors were open. I absolutely love the people here.
