As a lifelong Valrico local, I've been part of many community spots, but Arise Church in Brandon…read morehas become a cornerstone of my spiritual journey. This vibrant Pentecostal church, known for its belief in faith healing, has a reputation for powerful services where people experience healing most weeks. The welcoming atmosphere, heartfelt worship, and life-changing moments have made it a place where I truly found God. For its transformative impact, uplifting services, and genuine community, Arise Church earns five stars. Walking into Arise is like stepping into a warm embrace. The modern sanctuary buzzes with energy, filled with people from all walks of life--families, singles, young, and old--united in worship. The Pentecostal roots shine through in the dynamic services, with passionate music that lifts your spirit and sermons that hit home with practical, Bible-based messages. The pastors deliver teachings that feel personal, urging you to connect with God in a real way. The faith healing aspect is central, with prayer sessions most weeks where congregants report physical and emotional healings--back pain eased, chronic illnesses lifted, and hearts mended. I've witnessed these moments myself, feeling the undeniable presence of something bigger, and it's humbling to see faith in action. For me, Arise is where I found God in a way I never expected. I came in skeptical, carrying years of questions and doubts, but the genuine love from the congregation and the powerful worship opened my heart. During one service, amidst the music and prayers, I felt a peace I'd never known--a moment that reshaped my life and gave me a sense of purpose. The church's focus on experiencing God isn't just talk; it's tangible in the way people pray for each other, share stories of transformation, and build community. They offer groups for everyone--youth, singles, seniors--and events like Bible studies and outreach that make you feel part of something bigger. The services, held multiple times on Sundays, are accessible and engaging, with kids' and youth programs that keep the younger crowd excited about faith. The church is family-oriented, and the staff are approachable, always ready to pray with you or offer a kind word. It's not perfect--parking can get tight during peak services, but they manage it well, and the large crowds speak to the church's impact. The focus on faith healing might not resonate with everyone, but it's done with sincerity, never pressure, and always invites personal reflection. Arise Church has become my spiritual home. The healing services, vibrant worship, and sense of belonging have deepened my faith and given me a community that feels like family. For anyone seeking a place to connect with God and find support, Arise is a beacon. It's earned five stars for changing my life and offering a space where faith feels alive and real. I'll keep coming back, grateful for the journey it's sparked.

And I was scared and frightened of the Lord. I broke away from church and the Lord. Got into drugs really bad, lost everything many times over. My heart was hardened and I was broken. God lifted the veil one day and showed me exactly who I was. Not the cute little gangsta I believed I was. But the REAL me. I started listening to messages on the radio, then youtube, then I started looking for a real live church to go to. Whenever I was in Rehab it always seemed to help. But at Arise, I didn't know what was going on. I started crying, weeping. Like the story where the "woman-prostitute" was cleaning Jesus' feet with her "tears". Now I see how that is possible. Another time I went and up on the screen were like pages of the Bible regarding the crucifixion. It said they spit on Jesus. And when I saw that, I started just crying for my savior. Jesus says, "Love the Lord God with all your heart". I knew then what was happening, I was falling in love, with my Lord God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. The presence of God is definately there at Arise !! And his presence changes everything !! Arise has helped me in so many ways and I believe its because of his presence and the hard work of all Godly people who claim Arise as home !!

I been going to this church and location since attending a Christmas Eve service…read more My husband wanted to start attending church and as his wife by his side we went. I attended for a bit not really into it and wasn't much of a church goer. By showing up every Sunday I wa always welcome with open arms. Driving in and be welcomed by members smiling and always waving hi. Every Sunday offering us water, coffee, mints. Got familiar with the songs. Even when it felt weird and unfamiliar with it I later found myself singing along and now raising my hand to feel the power of it and god. This church is a note taking church. It helps others who need to follow along and take notes if needed. We like this a lot. Aaron the pastor is absolutely amazing. If you are not at his location you do watch him on a screen. He has a way to help you understand the Bible and how everything is relatable. He is absolutely amazing and make us keep coming back as well. With different teaching this church has helped truly save our marriage. Some of our family back home have watch the live service online and told us how lucky we are to have him. They often get on to watch. What I thought was a way to go and support my husband became a way to save myself. I look forward to coming every Sunday. I hope in the future to be part of their Dream Team and help our community with any involvement we can do. My husband got baptized several months ago. I am looking forward to taking this step next month. We love how they make this also fun at times. Thank you Raidant Church for welcoming us! We will always be thankful.

I cannot express the amount of thankfulness, gratitude, and joy from the deepest depths of my soul…read morefor The Grove Bible Chapel. This place has truly transformed my relationship with faith. The elders, the leadership team, and the entire membership are a genuine "family in Christ." From a theological standpoint, this is a teaching church through and through. They prioritize a heavy focus on discipleship (more than just fellowship, although "lingering long" is a celebrated value). Sermons follow a deep, expository approach, backed by a very sound theology and philosophy principle. The church is non-denominational, affiliated with SBS and partnered with the Pillar Network. My very first time visiting, I came alone and hadn't grown up in church. Not only was I greeted warmly, but the love and genuine spirit from the members were like nothing I had ever experienced. Two members immediately approached me, asked to sit with me, and made it a point to go around and introduce me to others in a similar life stage. The intentionality and wisdom present in this congregation are exactly what I had been seeking for a long time. Beyond just receiving instruction, the church provides ample opportunities to actively serve God and put your faith into practice, making the community truly dynamic. They are truly bearing good, good fruit. I have never been more proud to be a part of a family. If you are looking for sound teaching, authentic community, and a place to serve, look no further.

The three pastors, Kevin, Dan, and Kurt, exuded kindness and compassion. I had the privilege of sharing lunch with pastors Kevin and Dan, and pastor Kurt's leadership was truly inspiring. We felt blessed to have found a spiritual home where we could worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. However, our experience took a challenging turn when we faced a series of trials. On October 13, we were involved in a severe car accident that left our vehicle totaled. As we navigated this difficult time, I noticed that the church's response seemed inconsistent with their message of care and compassion. Then, on December 16, 2024, my wife suffered a stroke that required two ICU stays. Despite reaching out to pastors Kevin and Dan, they didn't visit my wife in the hospital during her 36-day stay. When I expressed my concerns to pastor Dan, he suggested that we might need to find a different church that better met our needs, citing that we weren't part of their 'Life Group.' According to them, Life Groups were essential for prayer support and hospital visitation. I scheduled a meeting with pastor Kurt to discuss my concerns, but he emphasized that we had different theological perspectives and offered to teach me more about The Grove`s theology. While pastor Kurt is undoubtedly intelligent, I felt that he lacked empathy and compassion. Since then, we haven't received any further communication from the church. It seems that their leadership prioritizes numbers over genuine care for their congregation, with pastor Kurt holding a position of authority. As of today, April 29, 2025, my wife continues to undergo physical, speech, and occupational therapy. She has been a brave brain cancer survivor since 2012. . I want to caution others about the leadership of this church, which seems to prioritize appearances over genuine compassion.
