The store was small, but Linda seemed nice when I first met her. She seemed to listen to what I was looking for in a wig. Her selection in the shop was minimal, so I felt forced to order a wig. There is a sign in her store displaying NO REFUNDS. This should have been my first clue to look elsewhere. i had to prepay, and her prices were higher than i expected. When my wig came in, I made an appmnt to go and have it fitted and trimmed. After a few quick clips with the scissors, I felt as though Linda was in a hurry to rush me out of the store, since she already had my payment. I was very disappointed with the wig color and style, and now I am stuck with a wig that I won't wear. I would recommend shopping elsewhere, where you can try on several wigs and find a style in the store that's right for you. read more

Purchased wig here several years ago. Will never do business with them again. Worked with mom & daughter. My new wig was ruined when they cut the bangs so short and then cut them straight across and never bothered to feather the bangs (which is unheard of ). When I approached them on my dissatisfaction I was just dismisses. Their prices for their wigs are ridiculous. You can buy them on line for a fraction of the price. Never been so unhappy. Had to throw the wig away. Their all about money over their. Don't care about customer. I'm on a fixed income and they ruined a wig I saved for. read more

I just returned from getting 3 of my wigs cut and styled (not by Feke Wigs) and I thought about my experience with this shop, which occurred several years ago. I made an appointment to have bangs cut into my wig. Upon arrival, the owner did not greet me (a potential long term customer) with a smile or any niceties. She did not offer to take my coat. She did not offer me a cup of coffee. She proceeded to act rushed, as if I was an annoyance. I did not purchase the wig I was having cut from her, and the entire time she cut in bangs, she told me what a piece of junk my wig was and that I should consider purchasing a quality wig from her. Frankly, I was appalled by her attitude and because of her nasty demeanor, even if I saw a wig that I loved in her shop, I would never purchase anything from her. Honestly, I cannot remember EVER being treated so poorly by another person, literally, in my life. I had hoped it would have been a positive experience, as I spend a lot of money on hair and would have loved to have found a shop with a nice selection of wigs and a person who could service all the hairs I purchase, but alas, after that experience, I never even thought about returning. My mother and I went to Feke Wigs in Brighton to look at wigs for my mother who has been diagnosed with cancer. When we arrived we were greeted by a woman who said, "Oh are you my appointment that is late"? I kind of thought that was a rude introduction to a customer. My mother said "No and that she did not know that she needed an appointment." The woman said that she was the owner and only worked by appointment and we should have called first and then we would have known this. She spoke so rudely and condescending to us I was just blown away that she was the owner. Instead of maybe saying that her other appointment was late and feel free to look around and I can answer questions, but when my appointment arrives I will have to take care of them, but that would have been the proper thing to say. I don't know how she has been in business if this is the way she talks to people. Especially in this line of business dealing with people that have cancer. My mother didn't need to be lectured about an appointment, but just treated politely. The rest that I post is not to be nasty but truthful. The store is more of a cramped space than a store. The wigs that were displayed looked very dated and fake. There was a musty odor and it did seem to be rather cluttered. After leaving and now knowing that you need an appointment we found a wonderful place called Susan's in Pleasant Ridge on Woodward. It was a little bit of a drive, but well worth it. The owner was so nice and her store was wonderful!!! We had a great experience and would highly recommend Susan's. By the way owner of Feke Wigs...you missed out on a $1973.00 sale. Purchased a wig for 613.00. The wig arrived, was the wrong color/fit and Linda Raleigh refused to give me a refund even though she had charged my VISA on 12/18 and it was now 12/26. I reminded her that I was leaving the store without merchandise and that she had my money. When I phoned the next day to say that due to chemo/kidney stones complications, I was not able to come back to the store as she requested to look at other wigs, she finally relented angrily, screamed at me and told me to never come to the store again. I immediately called VISA who sided with me and indicated she was illegally keeping my money. Suggestions: Dennis Todd Salon, Plymouth; Wendy Wigs, Livonia or Fran Coy, Ann Arbor. They all treated me with respect and compassion and truly wanted to fit me with a wig. It wasn't all about the money. By the way, her wigs are overpriced - when you shop around you'll see that. read more
