There is a well kept secret just across the street from the Hilton Garden Inn North on Via Lucio Giunio Columella, 36, Milan, 20128, Italy!
A small, neat as a pin, Italian trattoria/restaraunt run by Anna, the owner, and a small wait staff, called "Trattoria Cortiletto", at Vle Monza, 270. The food is simple, delicious, homemade Northern Italian fare served piping hot including pasta, veal, chicken, turkey, and hand picked garden vegetables, made fresh everyday by Anna and her head cook.
Complete with black and white checkered table cloths, big bottles of extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar on each table, hand painted pictures, and ceramic nicknacks, it's almost like you were visiting someones home instead of an Italian Trattoria/Cucina Caserccia .
Anna is quick with a smile and conversation, and the senior waiter is a hoot. My wife and I fell in love with the place after just two visits, and will definitely be back to enjoy Anna's great cooking and sense of humor.
If you find yourself at the Hilton Garden Inn North in Milan leave the hotel buffet behind, stop by this quaint little restaurant just down the block and ENJOY with a 1/2 liter of nuovo local red wine and home cooked pasta pomodoro...... la dolce vita.
