It would make the trek out here so much more convenient. Anyway, at least the station is still standing, and is in use, and it is a rather nice looking station as well, and you can also wander around it when the trains aren't in operation. Mind you, one interesting thing that I have noticed is that there does seem to be some rusting railway carriages here as well, which is somewhat interested. However, in the end, I would like this route opened up again.

Okay, don't expect any facilities here, but it is reasonably close to a rather cool part of High street. Despite its lack of facilities, I still quite like this station.

Okay, the station is close to some shops and cafes, which is always a pretty good thing. I certainly like that. However, it really doesn't have a particularly great aesthetic. Still, the trains pass hear reasonably regularly, so it isn't all that bad to be honest.

Then again, while a station may be really nice to look at, and have some historical feel, it still doesn't necessarily mean that it is good, especially if, like this one, it lacks any real facilities.

Hey, it isn't as if it is too far from many of the places, and as far as I'm concerned, it is a shorter walk to the main town square than any of the other stations (well, maybe not). At least it does have a nice building, and there is also a rather old pedestrian footbridge, not that I see much use for it though considering that the train can't go that much further - with there being water and all that.

Actually, I'm not sure how long this station is going to last because there happens to be a level crossing which they are slowly removing from Melbourne. I guess the one important thing about this station is that it is located near the Kooyong Tennis Club, which is where the Australian Open used to be held, but it isn't these days, ever since the construction of the Tennis Centre near the MCG.

Yeah, it really doesn't look all that impressive, and it is also somewhat annoying that the train doesn't actually run any further, but that is probably because they haven't actually run passenger trains for a while, and the track was never kept in good shape. Croxton Station is on the Epping train line and occupies a little patch of parkland between Stott and Spencer Streets in Thornbury. There is a tennis court next door and a great little corner shop on the Spencer Street side for your newspaper needs. What's great about Croxton (as opposed to all those other dog stations between here and the city) is that it has one of those machines that actually allows you to buy any kind of ticket (bar the coveted Sunday Saver) with coins, notes and cards. Who would've thought it'd be a great idea to actually let commuters buy the kind of ticket they want, with the payment method of their choice? Honestly, Metlink and their thug wardens can suck my arse, but Croxton's OK by this guy. Respect.
