A few weeks ago my Doberman Memphis fell ill having trouble breathing. I called K+K and when they…read moreanswered they asked if it was an emergency and if not, if I could hold. I said emergency and they calmly asked what was going on and I hysterically told them. I knew they get busy and can only see a limited amount of emergency patients so I asked if they had one available and they said to bring him in. We live 45 minutes away and unfortunately Memphis passed on the way to the hospital. But I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness and for being willing to see him on such short notice. Memphis always loved coming to see you guys. I'm sure you remembered the close call he had two years ago. All the best to everyone there. Thanks again.

Warning to Pet Owners…read more I do not recommend Karing for Kreatures. I brought my cat in for a respiratory infection, and she was not properly diagnosed. Instead, a SNAP test showed positive for FIV/FELV. The office manager discussed this out loud in the lobby and blamed me for not having my cat tested earlier. She asked where my cat was spayed, and when I said the HOPE Foundation, she stated that was the reason for the positive SNAP test and said my cat must have been around other cats. She then told me it was my fault for not bringing my cat to their clinic for testing. This conversation took place publicly. Later, my cat had actual bloodwork, which showed she was negative for FIV/FELV, confirming the SNAP test result was incorrect. After continued lack of proper diagnosis, I had to rush this cat to an emergency veterinarian, where she was diagnosed with cancer. By that point, she had already gone through significant time, expense, stress, and pain. I also had serious issues with my second cat. I brought her in for what appeared to be a bite on her leg. Her condition worsened, and she later became unable to breathe. I rushed her to the emergency veterinarian, where she was found to have a blockage in her lungs, and she passed away. This clinic is extremely expensive. When my cat stayed overnight, I was told I would receive updates and photos, but I received the same photo multiple times from different angles. Based on missed diagnoses, incorrect testing, poor communication, unprofessional behavior and the outcomes my pets experienced, I strongly caution other pet owners before choosing this clinic.

I want to start by acknowledging that euthanizing a pet is already one of the hardest decisions a…read morefamily can make. We were in an incredibly painful situation, our dog had bitten our daughter in the face twice and needed to be euthanized for her safety. We had adopted him from a shelter, and finding a compassionate, affordable option was not easy. Shelters were at capacity, the SPCA quoted over $500, and other vets were similarly overpriced. We called Northpoint, received a price over the phone, and made the 45-minute drive from out of town, already emotionally drained. What we experienced once we arrived made a devastating day so much worse. First, upon arrival we were informed, for the first time, that we needed to bring paperwork from the shelter where we adopted our dog. No one mentioned this when we called. Staff attempted to contact the shelter themselves, said they couldn't reach them, and then told us they might not be able to help us at all. My husband had to get back in the car, drive to the shelter to retrieve immunization records, and return, adding significant time and stress to an already traumatic experience. Second, when we were finally seen, they quoted us a higher price than what we were given over the phone. They also attempted to add an urgent care fee, claiming we had been given an urgent appointment, which was not true. My husband had to push back just to get them to reconsider. When he mentioned the original price we were quoted by phone, staff told him there was nothing they could do. We were grieving. We were exhausted. We had already driven nearly an hour and a half round trip for paperwork. And Northpoint chose that moment to add surprise fees and dismiss our concerns entirely. It felt like they knew we had no other options and used that against us. I wouldn't wish this experience on any family already going through the pain of losing a pet. If you're in a similar situation, I'd encourage you to get everything, pricing and requirements, in writing before you make the trip.

I was told both verbally and in writing that I had seven (7) days to notify the rescue of any medical issues. Within that seven-day period, I notified them in writing that my newly adopted Persian cat developed yellow eye discharge, squinting, and signs concerning for an eye infection, which is not typical Persian tearing. I also notified the rescue of my concerns regarding delayed or limited access to medical treatment, as prompt veterinary care is important to prevent unnecessary suffering. Despite reporting the issue within the stated timeframe, I was informed that no veterinary costs would be covered, and that treatment would require returning the cat to the shelter rather than allowing local veterinary care. Based on the condition that appeared shortly after adoption, I felt misled by being told the cat was in "good health." While I am not saying this was intentional, the information provided did not align with my experience once the cat was home, which was concerning. I share this so future adopters can make informed decisions. Please be cautious, especially when adopting brachycephalic or exotic breeds such as Persians, which are prone to eye and respiratory issues. Clarify in writing what "good health" means and what medical support, if any, is provided after adoption.
