Six adults, on a Sunday, mid-afternoon. We were seated at a large table with views of many tv's. Cute restaurant. We ordered a Bretzel and pickle chips to share. The bretzel and cheese was yummy. Our server was very nice and service was quick. A couple people in our party ordered burgers and a couple people ordered chicken strips. I had the chicken strip wrap with fries. Me and my friend stopped by to give the burgers a try. We talked about it for some time and we happened to be in the area. Last time I was in this building was when it Applebee's. We grabbed some seats at the bar and was greeted by the bartender who was super nice. We went some beers as we went over the menu. I kept it basic and went with the OG with just pickles and added condiments when it came out and my friend went with the Bite This! Patty that came with 2 half lb patties with 4 slices, of American cheese, 4 slices of bacon, lettuce, tomato, pickles & red onion which we both went them cooked medium along with fries. It wasn't super busy there, so it took no time to get our orders. I was super pleased that not only mine but my friends burger was cooked to order. Last time we went out for burgers was at Oscar's on Pierce. Not only my food did not come out the same time as his and his girlfriend, but it was between rare and medium rare not to mention the smart mouth waitress who brought it out to me. But I digress. The burger was seasoned really well and the fries as well. Crispy outside with a soft potato middle. Overall, we enjoyed our experience, our bartender hostess and the overall food. I've heard good things about Fat's and was excited to finally try it and it didn't disappoint. It's in an old Applebee's space, but the inside feels so refreshed. It's much brighter and updated, with tons of TVs. I think it would be a great spot to watch sports. Our server, Haili, was very friendly and welcoming. The menu offers a great selection of appetizers, burgers, chicken, and pizzas at reasonable prices. We ordered boneless wings and burgers, everything was excellent! I've been here twice on Friday / Saturday nights and the food and service has been great! First time was a chicken tender sandwich with bacon and pimento cheese and a French dip - delicious. Last night we did the pretzel sticks with poblano queso, medium buffalo wings, the Italian sandwich and street corn quesadilla. Great atmosphere! This is a great place to get people together to watch a game, lots of TV's and a big bar! The food was good, typical bar food. Service was great, we were there around 3:30 and it was not busy. But the bartender who served us had excellent customer service. The only concern was when we got home both me and my partner did not feel well. I'm not sure if it was the food or something else so I don't want to blame the restaurant. It's an old Applebee's turned into another restaurant. I tried the havarti party patty and the burger was cooked perfect to medium rare which is how I ordered it. The sauce was a little sweet for me. Fries were delicious and were a bit different in a good way. My only issue was that the liquor choices were very limited but they had a nice house wine that was good and a nice pour. read more

This was the new restaurant check in. This place is relatively new but old enough so it's not green anymore. This is the old Applebees restaurant and bar and it's been so long since I was there I can't tell if it was remodeled. It still has a bar with tables all around and it's modern looking. Two hostess at the front door one holding the door open and the other taking me to my table. I would order the OG patty with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, red onion and Mayo rare with the 99 cents up charge for the premium side of baked French onion soup. My plate looked good and I started on the baked French onion soup which was filled with croutons and onions and melty cheese. This was average and not seasoned with a weak broth that had no depth of a rich flavor. My cheeseburger looked perfect and it was cooked perfectly. This was a fresh beef patty with juice oozing out of it on to the paper sheet, frozen patties don't ooze juices. The cheeseburger was good with a fresh toasted bun and fresh toppings. Nothing was seasoned and is made for the masses so you can salt and pepper to taste. Hanna was my server who was very friendly and no service issues. For the price point of just under $15 for a decent lunch when burgers range from $14 to $20 on menus now it's reasonable and fresh. read more

Just opened over a month or so ago- Our burgers were cooked exactly how we ordered... and we loved them. The Honey Hot Patty Burger was tasty- loved the bacon jam. My wife and I decided to give this place a try. We ordered take out. I got the Jammin' Patty and my wife got the Honey Hot Patty. The burger patties are a decent size. The bacon jam was flavorful. The fries were great. The pickle spear that I got looked alittle dry like it was sitting out of the pickle container for a while. We were out and about doing errands on a soggy Sunday afternoon and we're hungry and decided to check out Fat's (nice to see something replace the old Applebee's) as we were curious.We were warmly greeted (wasn't to crowded I suspect because of the heavy rainfall.The remodel was simple and bright compared to the old Applebee's and I liked it.The menu if focused on burgers,with a nice variety and pizzas and appetizers as well.We tried the fried pickles,very tasty , crispy and hot and the y came out very quickly too..They came with a traditional ranch dipping sauce which really worked with the pickles (very tasty!).We both ordered the Patty Melt burgers to our desired doneness and one had homemade chips and I had the Famous Fries,both really a step above what you usually get as you can see in the pics,they came out very fast too,almost no waiting time at all.We were both very pleased and the taste was wonderful.Service was fast and efficient all throughout our meal.All in all a great experience and we were so glad we decided to check em out,we now have a great new burger place right in our backyard that we look forward to trying the rest of the menu out at in the future.The prices are really reasonable and the portions plentiful, Fat's is great new addition to West Allis. read more

Went here on a Friday for dinner with my husband and in-laws. We were seated right away and our server came up to us promptly to take our drink order. My husband and mother-in law ordered burgers, while I ordered the garlic Parmesan boneless wings. My father-in-law had a salad. The food came out pretty quickly and I really enjoyed how the wings weren't overly sauced. My husband ordered a side salad with his burger and it was a pretty good size. My FIL's salad was also pretty big. My MIL ordered fries for her side, which we all tried and thought they were pretty good and well seasoned. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meal and we all said we would definitely go back. The place is spacious and it wasn't overly busy. The service was good as well. The prices were pretty reasonable. First time trying Fat's. It's located in the old Applebees in West Allis. We ordered takeout for dinner and were looking for a good burger place. We ordered the OG Patty, mushroom Swiss patty, and the boom boom burger patty. I arrived a few minutes before my order was ready. I was greeted promptly and the host went to check on my order. The placed was pretty full but still had plenty of open tables for a Friday night. It seemed a lot brighter inside from what I remembered. Plenty of TVs too and the bar was nice and big. Another server came by and said hello. Seems like a nice friendly place. Now for the burgers... wow! They were huge! My boom boom burger was loaded with shredded onions and large pieces of bacon with plenty of sauce. The sauce had a nice kick to it too. The burger was perfectly done to medium perfection and so juicy and delicious. I ordered a side of onion rings and they too were big and tasty. My family said their burgers were also very good too. Just left and our party of five has some thoughts. Pricing was where we thought it should be however, the pricing for the appetizers vs portion of what we ordered was not what we thought it would be. The cheese curds and fried pickles were delicious, there just wasn't enough on the plate to go around. Our waitress was very positive and upbeat. When our entrees were delivered, a training manager had to supervise and help us with our trashcan nachos. Good learning opportunity. The entrees were delicious! We couldn't believe to portion sizing. Some of the issues. It felt as though we were rushed out the door with the check coming so early. We had to ask for refills a couple of times. We asked our waitress for boxes 4-5 times once we had the check at the table and eventually had to approach the bar for boxes only to have someone else drop them off as I was waiting at the bar. Giving the team five stars because I don't want to ruin that score! We know that this was the third day open and there's definitely room to grow. We will be back. Arrived for lunch with a party of four. Were seated promptly into a mostly empty dining area. Two of our party had burgers - one Black & Bleu burger, and one Swiss Schroom. Both burgers were built well and had a good taste, although my mushroom burger came out well done instead of the medium I ordered. The other two in our plarty also ordered sandwiches, a Philly and a French Dip. Again, these items were built well and were enjoyed. Two items were ordered with the regular fries, one with chips, and mine with sweet potato fries. The fries were all quite limp, although hot - seemed reheated. The sweet potato fries, while costing more as a "premium" side, came out as what seemed like only a half portion. The service was excellent and our drinks were refilled as needed.
