We purchased $254.00 in fireworks. I had a Roman candle explode in my hand and blow up in my face. We had an aerial with red fins that was supposed to shoot up in the air but lifted about 3 feet in the air and went sideways and came back and hit my wife in the leg. All-in-all we were not only disappointed in the quality of the fireworks, but feared for our personal safety. I would rather not celebrate the 4th of July than subject my family to the dangers of Fat City Fireworks. Buyer beware! read more

Our family has purchased the majority of our fireworks at Fat City for the last 2 4th of July's. They have reasonable prices and an incredible selection. Their customer service is great! There is always someone who is able to answer any questions that you have. There have been great coupons the last 2 years available via a mailer and online. This year the coupon was $20 off a $50 purchase and another one for the Ghost Killer package for $100 (regularly $150) Warning: they do NOT accept digital coupons, so you will have to print the coupon at home. The store is clean, well organized, & cool. They have HUGE portable swamp coolers running to keep the warehouse comfortable. We have never had any issues with the quality of our fireworks here. If you want illegal fireworks that blow Washington's out of the water, come to Idaho (or better yet--Wyoming. But that's another post). The place was closed when we arrived, but there was a guy out front opening the gate. I asked him when they opened and he said 30 minutes, and let us come in the lot right away. He called the lady who was running the place and while we waited for her to arrive he talked to us about where we were from and we chased a wild rabbit around. The lady arrived promptly and opened early just for us. When we walked in she said, "Illegals are on the left, legals on the right." We immediately went left and located giant rolls of Black Cats, huge rockets, giant mortars, M-88's, etc. The place was great. In the end I spent $140 on fireworks, altough I would have bought more if I had the room in the car. At purchase I had to sign a waiver releasing the store from all liability connected to the use of these fireworks. That was kind of weird. My only problem now is finding a place to safely set these off. :0) read more

This is the best place to get fireworks if you live in or near boise it's a little less than a half hour drive but it's totally worth it. The prices are the best i've ever seen and there selection is crazy huge. They have legal and illegal fireworks and just about every single type of firework that there is. They have at least three people at all time helping you find what your looking for and are very kind. Highly recommend going there if you haven't already. read more

They are a little ways east of Boise but easy to find and open year around. They have a huge selection of fireworks both Idaho legal and illegal. You have to sign a paper saying you wont use the illegal ones in the state. The girl at the counter was super nice and very helpful. They aren't cheap but I'm not complaining. read more

The products from this place ruined our 4th. We bought a family pack and some large bottle rockets. The fountains and such would go for three or four seconds and burn out. It was like they only put a quarter of the gunpowder in all of them. They were generally blah. We thought for a finale we would launch the giant bottle rockets with the ball on top that was supposed to go high then explode with a wonderful display. The first one went up about ten feet and the ball on the end exploded sending the burning flashes all over us, our cars and house. Luckily nothing caught on fire. Threw out the other three. VERY DANGEROUS! Certainly won't take the time to drive out there again! read more

My customer service review for Fat City fireworks I called at 7:50 July 5th talk to the owner about his website saying he was 30 years in the business number one fireworks seller in Idaho when I asked him about his competitor match prices he refused that he had that on his website told me I must have been thinking about a different website and told me to call back on the 6th between 10 and 11 so I can talk to his daughter about that oh yeah this is my second time calling the first time I called I spoke to his daughter I was asking about a single 500 gram cake or a case of 500 gram cakes because on their website it shows what appears to be a case and that's when she told me my idea of a case an her idea of a case is two different things after I asked her is the box a single 500 gram cake or a case of 500 gram cakes read more
