It's a fairly large store, and has a fun vintage vibe. The ceilings are the old tin style, and the front facade still has a vintage look, with fun things outside as well as in the window displays, which change seasonally. I've been visiting this store for years now. The store is broken up into little displays put up by various vendors, probably 75-100 of them. Each one has its own style and pricing, but the owner is extremely helpful, and has helped me call vendors to negotiate a final price, or to find out the history of an item. She's a genuine treasure, and will do what she can to make your experience pleasant. This store is big enough and with a quickly enough rotating inventory to justify visiting on its own, but fortunately you won't have to. The store next door is an antique store also, and in the summer months there are a few others in town that are open seasonally also. There's always something for everyone here, and it's pretty well all real antiques, and not just upcycling or craft things. Go with confidence, and enjoy the visit.

No worries, he's a friendly and respectful guy, but I thought it worth mentioning in case of allergies. He's often asleep in the front window or nestled in a corner somewhere. She has a note on the door warning guests of his presence before they enter. Her shop has a good selection of various items, from man-tiques to jewelry and silver. I've always enjoyed shopping here, but it should be noted, Susan can take some time to warm up to you. The first few times I came in, she was brusque and mostly stayed at the register. Now that we've gotten to know each other better, she will regularly come out and help me with things in various vendor's booths around the store. She seems knowledgeable about her trade. A quick note: Her husband's locksmith business has a service counter located in the back of the store, and I wanted to mention an exchange I witnessed that affected my experience in her shop one time. One of my buddies came in to the antique store with me, and when he saw the locksmith counter in the back, asked her husband a few questions about having another key made for an oddball brand lock he uses. The husband was cold and bordering on rude about my friend's use of that brand of lock, because key blanks are hard to get for it. He was loud enough I could hear their exchange from up in the antique shop. It made my shopping experience up in the antique store uncomfortable that day. He's not usually in at the locksmith counter when I go antique shopping, but that experience that day certainly left an impression. This is the only thing holding me back from an even better review.

Everything you could think of. Jewelry, clothes, records, large and small pieces of furniture, dishes- sets or individual pieces. The store is located in a vintage building in downtown Buhl, and several other shops are nearby that make Buhl a destination worth visiting if you're into antiques. Several of the neighboring shops also dabble in crafty things, like paints and up-cycling, but Parlor Antiques is truly all antique and vintage. There's a main floor, as well as a basement for your perusal. Items are always coming and going, the sign of a healthy shop. If you see something you like, grab it and don't miss out, as it may well be sold by the next time you pop in. Every time I go in I end up chatting with the owners, as well as some of the vendors. They are great people and really know their stuff. Prices are decent, and there's lots of vendors with different tastes that makes it more likely that you'll find something for everyone. One of the greatest antique shops I've been to, and that's saying a lot, as I've been to many, if not most, of the antique stores in Utah, and Idaho.

However, be forewarned, Frank does a lot of other things also, including selling at some antique shows around the Western US in the summertime. It's been my experience that every time I go to town I find the store locked up. He does keep his phone number on the front door and is usually pretty responsive about coming and opening it up if you give him a call. Often, he's there in less than 15 min if he's in town. It's an okay solution, I guess. I always feel obligated to buy things when I put someone off of their normal schedule. He's told me before that there's no obligation to buy when he comes to open it up, but there's always that tiny bit of uncomfortable-ness knowing that you dragged him over to the shop. His prices seem pretty fair. Visit here spring through fall. Because it's not always open regularly, the heat doesn't seem to be on much in the wintertime, and that makes for some cold shopping. Visit if you're out on the town anyway, but don't make it a destination location, because of its smaller size, distance from other antique shops, and because of the erratic schedule of opening hours.

When she saw my mask, she instantly began to harass me (unprovoked), saying that corona isn't real, no one gets sick from it, and I was stupid to wear a mask inside of her store. Even when I told her I wasn't feeling safe, she continued to follow me around the store, getting uncomfortably close to me and attacking me for trying to stay safe. To make matters worse the woman told me she previously had corona, and her friends had it too, but she still didn't care about the danger of spreading it to me. If you are at all concerned about your safety, cleanliness, or don't want to be harassed for your beliefs, I recommend staying far away from this store.
