This place had a high recommendation from an employee at a fast food joint, and I went not knowing what to expect.
This place is a bar with a small area serving food. There were the remnants of cheese, crackers and sausage out for the football game. Looked like a good time was had! There is a pool table, a couple video games, and a few slot machines. The place is Harley themed. The bar is really long, several people sitting having drinks, and one waiting for food. One guy came in to pick up a to go order that had five large takeout boxes.
I'm from California, and a steak dinner is easily $60. All the steak dinners were on special for $2 off the already ridiculously low prices.
I ordered a porterhouse medium rare with garlic mash. It included a side salad. I also ordered a vodka lemonade.
The service was good -- the bartender played waiter and he was attentive. The garlic mash was really good -- it came with butter instead of gravy, but maybe that's the way they eat it in Wisconsin. The salad was lettuce and cheese, and I good thousand island dressing. I would have liked some carrot, a little cucumber and croutons. But again, maybe that's how salad is in Wisconsin bars. Finally, my steak came medium and not medium rare. I didn't protest because it was tasty, and for $14 a bargain at and cook. The vodka lemonade was a giant glass for just $5.
I gave 4 stars because it was a bar -- the food was good for a bar.
The conversation was lively, and the patrons were interested in me and my friend being from California. We had a good time and would go again. read more
