Had an emergency job for a blocked sewer. Charged me around $1,300 to stick a camera down the sewer line and a pressure jet. Found the problem was a blocked junction towards the end of the sewer line and quoted over $19,000 to dig a hole approx 2 metres deep to replace the dislodged and blocked part. 1 man dug a hole (less than 1 day labour) 1 man replaced broken part and added an inspection point (les than 1 days labour) Came back on third day and back filled Total less than 2.5 days labour ( 1 person), a few hundred $$ in pvc sewer pipes and $19,000 charge. They get you at your most vulnerable ... no sewer, which means no showers, no toilet, no washing machine etc. I since received 3 other quotes for the same Job ( showed photos of the job and quote) and max quote was $11,690. We called these people to fix our leaking shower head and tap in the ensuite. They quoted over $700 to fix the washer which only costs about $20 or so each at Bunnings plus labor. The first plumber did not do the job correctly and we still had a leaking shower head. We contacted them a second time, another plumber came out to 'fix' the shower head. It was only temporary as it is leaking again. They are out to get your hard-earned money by charging extraordinary amounts for a simple job. We have involved Fair Trading but they do not have the power to do anything about these people. They broke the hot water handle which we only found out after Jemena came to change the water meter. He asked if anyone had done work there recently. We told him that Fastway was there a few weeks before to fix the leaking shower head. They are denying that they broke the hot water valve. Of course they did it how else can they fix the leak without first turning off the water supply??!! Avoid this company at all costs!! read more
