As my appointment time approached, it was right at the start of covid-19 orders so she gave a contactless option which was easy for us to work with. I caught the 2015 and had to pay someone else to amend after calling, emailing and stalking his office with no contact of WIlliam Smith. Now my 2016 returns are being withheld because I didn't know he messed up my 2014 too. He also messed up my mothers returns too. This guy needs to be held accountable. Though I had many recommendations and referrals for other accountants, I chose to work with Rose because I chose to specifically support a woman and minority owned business. One piece of advice from Erin Benzakein from Floret about hiring a bookkeeper and accountant was that if you feel dumb or awful after meeting with either, then it's time for you to hire a new accountant/bookkeeper. I was having a hard time managing my own bookkeeping and was inquiring about this service. I met with Tara and she was condescending, defensive, and was gaslighting me when I started crying on the call after she went on a diatribe about the importance of bookkeeping. I also disagreed with her statement that "Bookkeeping is the backbone of your business." Unfortunately, Rose was also on the call and there wasn't any intervention. I would recommend Rose Brown only if you were just working with her and Darin, but would stay away if you are on a call with Tara.
