Ok, the lighthouse itself is nothing special and also not very impressive (aside from the size maybe). But the walk to get here is the actual sight and the interesting thing about it. And the views of the coast and ocean from up here.
Several ways and paths are leading up to this Faro. The easiest and also most convenient option starts right beside the carpark at the northern end of Gorliz Beach. It's a nice and paved way from there leading up to this Faro. Some cows, farms and lots of wonderful views along the way. Nice ocean views, cliffs and rock formations. It's a great little walk and not too hard. We had our Bulldog in her stroller with us and managed fine. Some few parts might be a bit steep and need a quick extra burst of energy. Besides that a nice walk. Most parts are under the sun, but the ocean breeze provides some freshness.
We really enjoyed the walk up here. And there were only few visitors. Which is actually very suprising. It's really a nice sight. read more
