I've worked with many florists and this is by far the worst experience I've ever dealt with. My company had a ten year anniversary event in Dallas for the first time and I found and recommended Farmhouse Elegance. Skyler was very accommodating when I placed two orders (two 15+ x floral arrangements for two separate dinner events) with her. I had two specific requests, one that no artificial flowers were to be used and second, the flowers used had to be sturdy to last the week. She responded that she will make sure to use only real flowers and that the flower will last the entire week's event.
The first batch of arrangements arrived and my associate called me to run down to the conference room. I heard worry in her voice and when I arrived to see the arrangements, embarrassment was all I felt. The arrangements were too small for the table and some flowers were already dead. Sturdy, it was not! It couldn't even last a day let alone the week. I called Skyler and told her about the situation and she sent someone to replace the dead flowers. Now, I was worried about the second night event. She assured me that it will be bigger and nicer and she sent me a picture. I had already placed the order and I couldn't find another florist on such short time so I just hoped that the next night would be better.
The second night, the second batch arrived and it was better but what did I find, artificial flowers in the arrangements. Skyler was no where to be found and her assistant explained that she couldn't fix it. I called Skyler asking why were there fake flowers when I specifically asked that all the flowers had to be real and she explained that her vendor made the mistake and sent bad flowers and she couldn't get white roses. I told her if I could find white roses within the two hours I had left before the event started that she would have to reimburse me and she agreed. Not from Dallas, I was able to call local shops around the hotel and run to the shop and grabbed several dozens of white roses. Skyler's assistant did stay behind and replaced the white roses. However, as I walked around to check on the arrangements, I noticed some of the hydrangeas had already wilted and all I could do was hide them as best as I could. Needless to say this experience was just frustrating and upsetting. I have still yet to receive my reimbursement after emailing several times with no responses. Save yourself the headache. read more
