What a great and pleasant place to unwind after checking out Poverty Point. The food was good - the Cajun fries were a must-try. The Catfish and hushpuppies were great, and the burger felt very homemade at a great value! Also, the Philly Cheesesteak was really cheesy and great. The Chicken Tender dinner with the gravy was a nice southern touch. Everyone was so nice and I felt very welcomed. The one woman working was busting out everything very well. read more

Took a chance and stopped here and overall it was ok. This town has a very limited options for…read moreeating. What was good: The shrimp po-boy. Although the bun wasn't as big as I'm used to, it was loaded with well seasoned shrimp. The corndog: I believe it was hand dipped however it was a bit overcooked. The 3 1/2 year old I had with me tore it up. The hotdog was huge and it must have been good because every bite was gone The things that needed work: The fries were undercooked and soggy. We got one order to share and we tossed them. I couldn't even get the fry obsessed toddler to eat them. The hamburger was definitely a premade patty from a grocery store. Subpar at best. It was real meat unlike a place like McDonald's which who knows what that meat (term used loosely) is. Would I stop by there again? Yes if I was too hungry to make it to Greenville. I would order a po-boy again but that's about it. The service was friendly. There was no indoor seating. The toddler and I sat at the picnic tables outside. Even though the temp was 93 degrees, the fan they had aimed at the tables did a great job. It was actually comfortable as far as temperature. I will say if you're not from the south or a place where you're acclimated to extreme heat, you need to be prepared to eat in your car with the AC on blast.

The food is great! The prices are reasonable. Small town friendly service! Highly recommend!read more
