Prior to becoming a State Farm customer, you could say I was "going with the Flo". Until I realized how much I was over-paying for my auto insurance. After shopping around I settled on Merrie Connon's agency because it was right around the corner from my home in Tucson. I no longer live in Tucson, but I also have no reason to switch agents. Over the years, I have come to know Patty (retired), Ivonne, Cody and Merrie. They are all wonderful folks who know who I am and go above and beyond every time we interact. I was so satisfied with their services and personal attention that I recommended my mother switch insurance carriers to State Farm. She is now one of Merrie's customers too. In the past few months, I purchased a new vehicle. I was curious to know how State Farm's estimate for my new Civic would compare to the competition. Needless to say, I am still with State Farm. No matter what the fliers claim, and no matter who friends and colleagues recommended I talk to, NO ONE CAME CLOSE to the rates of State Farm. I love my new car and I love my insurance agent! As I went through the details with Mr. Mooney, he took the course of justifying high premiums and the upheaval in the insurance industry that is now happening. When I told him that I agreed with the upheaval, but not the cause, he said that insurance companies were just losing too much money now and had to protect their business. I don't agree with the fragility and poor income of the insurance companies. Mr. Mooney then said it would be better were I to take my business elsewhere.
