When I first came to Santiago, I was astonished by the sheer amount of pharmacies (seriously, on…read moreaverage, I think there must be one on every corner). While all of them look more or less the same, this big name pharmacy has made one of their many stores quite unique. Inside La Botica, you can find memorabilia from some of the fist pharmacies in Santiago. The architecture is beautiful, with tall ceilings and dark wooden fixtures you feel like you have been transported back in time. Although they sell the same things in any one of their other pharmacies, the experience when buying here is just a bit more special, more like you are buying from an individual as opposed to a large corporation. Definitely worth coming here the next time you are in downtown and need some aspirin.
