Fabulous people at the pharmacy. But, this pharmacy is huge - 8 buildings, and confusing, and…read morepacked with people. I was nervous. To buy something that is by prescription in the US, but over the counter in Mexico you have to figure out the system. Turns out you go up to the people behind the computer, behind the counter, in the center of the front of the store and ask for what you want. Have the name of the drug, and the milligrams for that drug written down so there is no confusion on what you want. The computer folks make you a ticket, and you go to the cashier to pay. The cashiers are in little boxes across from the computer people. You will pay and get several receipts. Then you bring the ticket, and all of the receipts to a third counter at the back of the ring of counters before you go into the retail store section. (I told you it was confusing). Your drugs come up from the basement in a funny scoop. Your name will be called, and you pick it up. Now, if you want Retin A, you have to go to a different building that has an 81 flag outside. Again, you get a ticket for what you want, go to the cashier, pay, and go to the third counter to give the person behind the counter and give them the receipts, and they will give you the product. As long as you understand the system, it's easy. And, a huge thank you to Nora, the employee who helped me every step of the way.

Orthopedic devices, meds, beauty - you name it they got it. We went in looking for specific meds. The counter ordering system is a little complicated. You have to go to one to order your meds, another to pay in the back, then the center counters to pick them up. Because of this and the potential to get 'cut in line' I docked a star. Other than that, a pretty cool shop to stop by! ___________ Era muy difícil para no pares a esta tienda. Fue gígante. Hay una entrada a lado de Calle 5 de Feb. La tienda consume casi un cuadro y tiene una variedad de cosas como cosas orthopediacas, medicinas, y cosas por belleza. Fuimos para medicina particular pero tenemos que ir a muchas estanciones. wandered in here off the street because the pharmacy looked interesting... and glad i did! while…read morethere isn't really anything parisian about this place (more spanish-colonial, 19th century mexican frontier) the decor is really awesome. divided by a small, covered alley the pharmacy offers essential health and beauty items as well as more homeopathic ones. exposed wooden beams, gigantic blue/brown/green apothecary jars, a huge mortar and pestle (for compounding?), and beautiful hand-drawn pictures of medically beneficial plants really add to the charm of this place. while my friend was successful in getting arnica patches and rose water at a bargain price, she was less successful in finding generic latisse. it was only while we were walking away that we noticed a larger, more modern looking extension of the pharmacy next door. looking forward to checking this out again the next time i'm in cdmx!

They had the exact type of capsule aspirin that we were looking for. I had made the mistake before of buying the disolvable aspirin tablets that didn't work out for us. The price here seemed to be right inline with the other farmacia that we shopped at. This farmacia also seemed to be somewhat larger, but I wasn't sure if they had a greater selection. Theybseem to have fewer common drug store staples, and more of the actual important medications. They also have an adjoining mini Doctor's office in case a real prescription is required.
