What's wrong: 8/3016 It is VERY CLEAR that Yelp DOES NOT WANT TO INCLUDE NEGATIVE REVIEWS on their pages. FOR THIS REASON, I WOULD NEVER TRUST YELP TO GIVE AN HONEST REVIEW on businesses. I also think that many of the "glowing" reviews are written by the businesses themselves to counter ANY bad PR. The following WAS MY HONEST IMPRESSION OF FARMA. I do think this was removed because Farma ordered it removed. 1.The scales used to weigh the pot are NOT consistently FACING the customer. It is not easy for the customer to monitor weight of order. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT as sales ARE done by weight in increments as small as a gram. 2. Apparently some employees do not understand how to use the digital weighing scales. I noticed my order was done on a digital scale whose readout started to blink continuously. Usually when a digital scale does this, it is needing adjustment. The employee seemed uninformed and uninterested in my concerns. I thought the amount looked too small and the scale bullshit is something that compromises my trust in the weight as displayed. 3. Overall, I am surprised at the overall quality of the pot sold in Oregon dispensaries. At best, I would rate Oregon dispensary pot from ANY RETAILER to be too often mediocre at best. Common problems: 1. Generally too weak and inconsistent quality. 2. Quickly building up a tolerance- requiring more to get the same effects. I assume dispensary pot is to be used daily. 3. I have found too much of the dispensary pot from ANY RETAILER has a tendency to too often exaggerate underlying depression. I don't see how it can be used for therapeutical reasons as the overall quality of any dispensary's pot seems to be inconsistent. Additionally, WE - THE VOTERS- should NEVER allowed a 25% tax on recreational pot, or the OLCC to oversee anything at all. The OLCC should have been DISBANDED years ago. It's just a bunch of clueless, greedy, old white guys performing what they do best.....crony capitalism and ripping off customers. I maintain that MOST PORTLAND DISPENSARIES knowingly sell a lot of crappy 2nd rate pot. Apparently, they bank on the fact that most consumers DO NOT know good pot, so this watered down shit does the job. Adding to my frustration are scenarios as mentioned above. Waited an hour or so to get in here today, on Oregon Fun Weed's birthday. Totally worth the wait. Steve, one of the owners, was the chillest budtender I've ever encountered, and I've purchased weed in every state where it's legal. He told us a story about when he used to peddle grass in NYC way back in the day where even a small amount could get you 20 in the slammer. Steve's old school, see? He was super knowledgeable about all the strains, took plenty of time for us to ask dumb questions and smell mad jars. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they'll weigh out any little amount you want and just price it proportionately to the gram price. So I walked out with a half gram of a high CBD strain, a heavy hitting gram of Nukem, a Silver Surfer sativa, and a Key Lime Pie pre-roll ($8). Grams were going for between 10 and 14 bucks apiece. I'd say that's way cheaper than Washington and even competitive with the black market at that quantity. I'm impressed with everything I've tried so far. I had a great experience here. In a town just littered with these places you've got a lot of options. Save yourself some time and go check this place out. Say hi to Steve for me! read more

My friend and coworker Renee brought me to Farma after work to talk to her partner Ian for some help picking out some different options for flower, vape pens, edibles, etc. I have been having a very challenging time sleeping lately, well mostly my whole life but some nights are worse than others. Ian was extremely helpful and took the time to listen to my needs and help me find the best options for me. I also have a lot of chronic pain as well so it was a delicate balance of trying to find the right combination of cbd and thc to help with sleep and reduce pain and not cause munchies or any paranoid thoughts. I am also an artist so Ian came up with a good mix that would help me feel inspired and stay focused when creating my art as well. I was not an easy customer and I appreciated his compassion and knowledge. Since coming to farma I have been extremely happy. I am able to feel relaxed and in less pain at night and pretty much sleep through the whole night, which with all the stress I am going through is a miracle. Where to start? Farma is a true cannabis boutique. The staff members are like weed ninjas: polite and incredibly knowledgeable. They know the product and they seem to genuinely care about the customer experience. To me, that's all you can ask for. The product is 10/10. I smoke flower, so I can only speak to their flower selection (they have a nice selection of cartridges and edibles too). Virtually all of the flower is organic, and absolutely all of it is AMAZING quality. Bravo to their growers: you're killing it. The space is very nice as others have said - modern and accessible with a touch of humor. The menu goes beyond just indica/sativa into deeper dive into what makes each strain unique. And the check out process is easy. You even get a cool vial with your strain information printed right on there. I really don't have anything negative to say about the Farma experience. They're pros. I've been to many dispensaries in Portland and other cities and Farma is my favorite. I love the displays of bud that are viewed like jewels in a diamond store in well-lit cases with a color-coding system relating to whether they are high CDB or THC, and what effects they might have. In addition, the staff is very knowledgeable in regards to the strains, as well as legislation and changes in the industry. The atmosphere is modern and professional, and they have one of the largest inventories of bud and vapor cartridges that I've found in Portland. Living in the heart of Hawthorne, I have many dispensary options to choose from, but I will travel the extra mile or so to visit Farma due to their overall ambiance and service. read more

Lets face it. Throw a rock in Portland and you will hit a marijuana dispensary (or a graphic designer!) But most of the new pop ups are dilapidated dodgy shops run by dilapidated dodgy folks. However, FARMA is something different. Something very special. Their clinic is the warmest, most welcoming dispensary i have ever shopped at. With a friendly, knowledgeable staff and a true focus on the medical importance of marijuana, you will feel at home immediately. I trust them and their products implicitly. They stock only the best quality and will spend the time to talk with each customer as long as it takes to help them find exactly what product is best for them. After showing my friend some of the Portland sights, we decided to take a break for a dispensary visit.  After checking out various reviews we ended up at Farma. Honestly I didn't realize how far legal weed has come. We were greeted by a friendly receptionist before entering what can best be described as a marijuana boutique. Our budtender (I forgot his name) was professional and patient and answered every question- and we got to see and smell everything before deciding what to buy. They make it informative but not stuffy. I like that. Just an excellent experience. And great product! Afterward we hit up Lardo around the corner for sandwiches and beers. When I go to the store to make a purchase, especially a medical purchase, a professional atmosphere is required. Which is why I like to pick my meds up at Farma. Even though I live in Lent's accessing Farma is easy enough through the #14 which stops a block away. The best part of Farma though is the quality of medicine provided. Additionally Farma is able to provide an array, of product at several price points, to provide a truly unique experience as an individual. Farma is the only game in town as far as I am concerned! Their product is premium, the bud tenders are friendly and very knowledgable, and the space itself is like something out of Architectural Digest- so beautiful and modern. It's always a joy to stop by and visit these lovely people! Their selection of CBD weed is particularly impressive, and steady, with at least a few to choose from on the daily menu, which is nice because I had trouble finding CBD strains at some other places! I have visited dispensaries in both Colorado and Oregon, and Farma was, without a doubt, the one I will continue coming back to. Besides having a wide selection of premium quality product, the staff was exceptionally knowledgable. Any question we had, was addressed with a very educated answer. I truly felt like my bud tender knew what she was talking about, and so far, in my tasting, she has not disappointed. I cannot even pretend that I have tried all the dispensaries in town, but after going to Farma, I won't be looking any further. Do yourself a favor, and check them out. Really, everything is great about this place. Location, aesthetic, selection, etc. The herb is always really lovely here. There is so much to choose from and what you are going to get is laid out in a digestible manner in terms of the mood/visceral effects of each strain choice. On top of that, the staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and beautifully organized. They had a color coded bar graph for the terpenes of each strain! I have had issues with my stomach for years.One day I was in so much pain I decided to head down to Farma.I'm not much of a cannabis user ,but I heard so many good things about this place I thought I should check it out.I received the best service and the budtender knew exactly what I was looking for,she even mentioned a couple other strains that would help my stomach.She was right that night my stomach felt so much better I forgot I was in pain.Ever since then if I need help this is the place I go to.These guys are the real deal and I know I won't walk out of there disappointed. read more
