Well the pizza was receding cold, it was not good at all. Maybe if the girl was not in a hurry it would have been better.

Service was good. The workers spoke very good English. Pizza was good (about 4euro/slice). Pasta was not good (and cost 9euro for a little rewarmed slice). Small cannoli were OK but a bit soggy. Easy to find though, and seemed clean with some seating inside although the door stayed open and several flies were on the wall. read more

One of the best pizzas I've ever had! The bread is thick yet soft and fluffy, the cheese just melts through your mouth (and the bread). But make sure you tell them exactly which piece of pizza you want or otherwise they would end up giving you the smallest one. read more

Only way I could describe this pizza is: thicc. The base was so solid that even after they cut the slice into 4 pieces, I was able to hold up my cut and it still supported itself, you won't see this anywhere else folks. Pizza itself was delectable, with the basil cutting through nicely and the mozzarella adding the nice cheesy and creamy texture. Every component was balanced and complemented each other nicely. Definitely not the experience I was hoping for when first arriving in Venice. Just to start, if you want pizza I recommend going to Antico Forno just down the alley from this place. My bf and I came in for some pizza and coffee. The girls helping us with the pizza were kind and took time to explain to us the different toppings. We went ahead and ordered the coffee at the pizza counter as well after asking if it was ok to do that. The girl helping us with our pizza said to show the employee working at the coffee counter our receipt when we pick up our coffee. Alas, the employee at the coffee counter called out for a cappuccino (we ordered two cappuccinos with two shots). When I went to pick it up, I saw only one was made and asked if there was another one coming up since we ordered two. The employee then rudely explained that it was a cappuccino with two shots and there was no other one. I took out my receipt and showed her that I did pay for two, which she then rolled her eyes at me, ripped my receipt, and said "well, you're supposed to show this receipt to me so I know, fine I'll make you another one." Maybe it was my mistake, I should've given the receipt to her right away but damn, was not expecting the attitude and rudeness. As someone who works in the service industry, I understand fully if you're having a bad day but you have to be able to control it during work. Really, expected more out of her. For the food and drink, I would give it three stars - it was just alright. But because the service was pretty terrible, I'm giving it one star. read more

This place was recommended by our hostess where we were staying (Charming House) as a spot for breakfast/brunch/lunch. I believe that Farini is a chain but the quality is reflective of a mom-and-pop establishment. We tried their lasagna, pizza, salad and latte--all were great at reasonable prices. Their bread/pizza dough is very delicious but didn't knock my socks off as we've had excellent pizza/bread in the SF Bay Area as well as in NY (in other words their bread/pizza is on par with other high quality places in other major cities). Highly recommend and we'll be back tomorrow in order to pickup sustenance for our train ride to Rome! read more

We were walking around looking into windows to see who had the best looking pizza and this is the spot we picked. It certainly didn't disappoint. We got two types and a glass of vino each. We got the margherita and one that had prosciutto and I believe Brie. Both were fantastic. I wish I had room to try the Quattro formagio though as it looked excellent. This place is good! Not the "best pizza in Italy", but surely some very good pizza. A nice slice of pizza will cost you about €4, some bread starts at about €0,60, and drinks are relatively cheap. You can see the pizza maker doing his thing over in the back, which is nice, and the staff are friendly. Be warned, though, this place gets packed! If there isn't seating or you are uncomfortable with tight spaces, I would get your stuff to go. There isn't much space to sit and navigating through the narrow walkways can get tricky if people sit with their chairs far out. The pizza is very good though, fluffy layers of dough make the whole pizza tasty. Make sure you point to which slice exactly you want because if you don't, you'll probably end up with the slice that nearly has more crust than cheese, etc. on it! The crust is good but you'll want to savor the toppings more. We got three slices, a beer, and the lemon soda (definitely try this, it's amazing) for just €22. If you're looking for something quick, affordable, and good, this is your place! read more
