I made an appointment for this morning. What a great choice. I received a precision haircut, beard and mustache trim, and a straight edge razor shave. After listening to the staff converse, I realized they were Persian. So I got to practice my few phrases of Farsi. And the price was incredible. For all that work (about an hour) it was 27 Euros. I called to make…read morean appointment, they said they were booked solid for the next 2 months, but that Tuesday and Thursday are walk-in days. They said to come an hour before the shop opened if I wanted to ensure that I'd make it into the shop on a walk-in day. Haircut day: I waited outside in the rain with 9 other dudes for an hour before the shop opened. When they opened it, they gave everyone coffee or beer. The shop itself is trying really hard to be a cool bro hangout, with the usual dead animals on the walls, old-timey posters, antique-looking furniture and nudes in the bathroom. It kind of succeeds though, and is nice to hang out in. The guys who work there also all look super hip, and pretty much all barbers and customers have a beard... But most importantly, the place isn't just for looks-- the haircut is perfect. Right now haircuts are 31euro, and it's just as good as the haircut I used to get in New York for double that price.

The barber who cut my hair was the first one to the right when you walk in The haircut: the haircut was horrible. For starters, he cut my hair with an electric machine... Any barber will tell you that's a big no no. There was a language barrier between us but he understood enough to cut my hair. I showed him a picture of what I wanted and he said he could do that. Little did I know that my hair was going to take a turn for the worst. He pushed my lining back into a u shape, the fade wasn't even a fade it was only one shade then 3 on top, and I had to walk him through how it was supposed to be done. The price: all together it was 12 euros plus tip which isn't that bad. Now I feel like I should of paid more The overall experience: Overall, bad experience. Guys, I followed Bryan's review, first time I actually follow a Yelp review... kind of out of…read moredesperation... and with my surprise this place actually works. I was in & out in a heart bit. The guy I used spoke English and Spanish ( I finally used those college credits!!!!) so we managed to understand each other quite well, and guess what.. he did an amazing job! The place is truly affordable 13 E for a hair cut??? Not in SFO for sure!!! In any case, I will be going here again. Ok it is not the fanciest place in town... but the work is TRULY good.
