I visited Blue Ridge Ga for a family vacatio. Sadly, our vacation came to a halt when my 10 yr old son was found u responsive. Being from Alabama, we called 911. Police arrived and did nothin; EMT arrived and looked at my son, looked dead a me and said "Is the corner on the way". No one tried to help Bentley. His name is BENTLEY!!! They didn't question other adults present. Allowed my cousin; who was AWAKE at the time, to clean and throw things away. Then allowed her to direct the corner to pack my children's belongings. I was treated horrible. I will never forget the officer who looked at me, at the bottom of the stair, saying so harsh, hatful with no compassion "Bentleys DEAD, but u have two other children be happy". I wanted to throw him down the stairs and still do. I understand they see a LOT but no one made them take on this positio; it was a choice. Compassion goes a long way. Just like the corner in Fanning county who TEXTED me my child's apparent cause of death. Yes, texted it!!! I've been trying for almost a year to get the reports and photo/video evidence so that I can have an attorney Send it to Alabama bureau of investigation. It also took over a WEEK to get my son home bc the Airport Mortuary did NOT want to drive on Memorial Day. My son couldn't be laid to rest until June 5 and he left this world May 25, 2021 at 2:51 am. No one has ever reached out. What was portrayed as a close and helpful community has intern been the most horrific nightmare of my life. Here's hoping that I can get some sort of response from their sheriff before they decide to up and destroy all of the evidence pertaining to my child. Because I know and they know they did not conduct The entire questioning and procedure of that not correctly because we were not from there. We were outsiders and meant nothing to them, they treated my son as though he was nothing and that is no exaggeration. read more
