I could and would recommend this store to my friends and neighbors. There you can find everything you need for children, moms and families. I found there many wonderful birthday presents for the children of my friend, many things for newborns. Some of them are brand new and the prices are amazing! I must have driven by Fancy Pants 100 times before finally stopping in. Fancy Pants has a nice array of children's goods from toys to books to clothing. I didn't buy anything on my first visit, but I think this is a gem in the rough. I imagine that if you come here often enough there are some real finds to be had. It just wasn't my day. read more

I've shopped at Fancy Pants a few times now to find gifts for friends and their children. I love walking around the store and seeing young children interacting with the products and the toys/books. Additionally I have never had any issues finding wonderful clothing in great shape for kids of all ages/sizes. I can't imagine paying 50.00 for a newborn's outfit when I can get the exact same item at Fancy Pants for 7. The staff have always been super friendly and, now that I'm pregnant myself, I look forward to continuing to shop at the store for my own future kiddo. read more

This place has a pretty good selection and seems to get new stuff in fairly frequently. I read the other Yelper's review and have to say that I had a very different experience. The staff were friendly and polite ( for example, they offered to help me carry the stuff I was selling in from my car with me). It's true that they didn't want to buy a lot of the stuff I brought in to sell, but having sold items to resale stores a bunch in the past I realize that's just the way it is. Stores know what they have room for and what will sell and they only take certain things, which is fine. I think the other reviewer may have taken it personally that they did not want to buy some of her stuff, which is too bad. I only have 2 areas for improvement for them: first, they have a fine bathroom with a changing table and even a stash of emergency diapers, but then there is a sign asking customers to bag up their dirty diapers and take them with you. This seems unwelcoming for a store marketing to moms with babies (I mean, just roll one of the diaper genies in from around the corner...). And second, they do make you wait awhile while they help other customers, enter you in the system, etc., so you will have to budget in extra time for that. Overall though, they were fine, had many cute things (I went in November and they had a whole carousel of adorable girl holiday dresses) and lots of toys. read more

I have been a repeat customer at Fancy Pants over the last few years and have found that they buyer seems to take less and less each time. I went in with one basket of freshly washed, organized, in-season clothes and after waiting 15 min. after my confirmed appt., the buyer only selected a few items stating that others were dirty or too worn. I had boutique clothing items that she was offering $.50 or $.75/item, so I said thanks, but NO thanks! I'd rather pass them along to friends who would certainly appreciate them more that what she was offering. And I know she would have marked them up considerably if I had left them...esp for the higher end items, after stating she would have to put them on her "play clothes" rack. I will not be returning to this store. Very disappointed. read more

Why anyone would give this place less than five stars is a mystery to me. In fairness, I've never tried to sell here. I've only been a customer but they have EVERYTHING you could need for a kid or baby. I can't recommend a better place for hand me downs that are often like new. Plus, they have a very clean and well-appointed bathroom: changing table, extra diapers, wipes. I just love this place. They think of everything. read more

Not overly impressed with this place. It is extremely small, making it difficult to see the items available for sale. The person at the front wasn't very friendly and seemed bothered I was there. A friend of mine recently sold some items to this store and said it was a painful experience. She felt that they spent more time trying to convince her why something wasn't nice, why shoppers wouldn't want the items, why they shouldn't have even bought certain things, etc. And these were REALLY nice things (she had offered them to me), nicer than some of the items seen in the store. My friend was also told that they didn't want a few of her items (with no real explanation why) and when she got home the items weren't in her box. Maybe an honest mistake, but nevertheless it contributed to my overall impression of this place. read more

The staff was super friendly and they have some really great finds, including clothing, toys, and baby gear. I actually wish I would've held off on buying my kids a toy kitchen as they happened to have an even cuter, like-new one that was cheaper than the one I had just recently bought online the day I went there. my wife and i were passing by and so we stopped in... there was a good selection of clothes although the prices were on the high side for used clothing, at which point makes more sense to simply buy new or go to savers. we did end up buying a new car seat which unfortunately i had to return because apparently the back seat in my acura is on the sporty side and so i could not get the right angle for a rear facing install... they took it back although the 2 day return policy on a BRAND NEW ITEM is 100% bs as i had to make an unscheduled and out of the way trip to deal whit this return even though i pass by here on weekends but then we'd be pass the 2 days time frame read more

Impressed with their toy selection - there is a large mix of new and old. The new toys are priced comparably to Amazon, while the used toys seem to be priced fairly. I wish they had a bit larger selection of 24 month/2T boys clothes, but I found a couple of things nonetheless. Service was decent - I appreciated that they let me look around at my leisure and weren't pushy; though they were not overly friendly. All in all, I'll be back to look for more clothes for my son since it is close to my house (and they said they get new things in daily) and I may try consigning, at which point I will update this review. read more

I really liked this place. Today was my first visit, I only bought items I did not do any consigning. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. They have a lot of brand new stuff for much less than big chain stores. My only complaint is that I was overcharged on two items, sticker price was half of what was rung up. However a few bucks was not worth the hassle of going back. In the future I will be more attentive at the register. I would definitely go back. read more

I greatly value this store and recommend it highly. While I was fond of the Apple Orchard consignment that was open before Fancy Pants took over the space, I appreciate the higher quality of clothes that Fancy Pants offers. There are double racks allowing more merchandise to be in the store. I was pleased to have such options. The prices are also very, very good. I sold clothing at the store and had an easy, very positive experience. I will sell there again. The store is organized in a efficient manner. The toy and game area is very orderly - it makes it is easy to see all items and to shop. Great, high-end selection of items that allow me to dress my son in a stylish manner. They also attract sellers who bring unique, quality items that allow my son to get clothes that express his own sense of style. I wish there were many more stores like this! read more

I went to fancy pants to sell back baby clothes that my daughter outgrew... first off I want to start off by saying the owner takes your bags of clothes in the back and picks threw what he wants ... he doesn't want you to sit back there with him as he chooses. I asked him if I can watch while he sorted threw my things and he said no he will bring back what he does want (that's sketchy! Why can't I want you sort threw MY ITEMS?!) anyways I brought 2 bags... full of all name brand items... Ralph Lauren, gap kids, carters, north face, ugg. And still I was only expecting like 30-40 bucks for them. He came back and said they were excepting infants clothes or things that are not in sets . Understandable! He did however take some carters inside sets unwird with tags still on them... a gap sweatsuit that was like 30 bucks that my daughter wore once.. Ralph Lauren sweatsuit and some uggs that he wanted to keep...This man came back and had the nerve to offer me 6 dollars!!! Now I know it's a consignment shop and your obviously not gonna get what you paid for but 6 dollars!!!!! That's items he had was over 100 bucks alone !! Total rip off ... and he has a nerve because they clothes they have there are not that great! They do however have nice toys and equipment. I suggest bringing your clothes to a few then decide who's going to give you the best deal! read more

This is a good place to buy stuff but when you try to sell, they really pay you very less and have a bad attitude. Also they are very bad with appointments. 3 times, they called to cancel my appointments, and one time it was the same day morning that they call and say they are busy and I will have to reschedule. When you try to reschedule they don't have anything for a month, though it is their fault technically. I tried mentioning this when I was called for cancelling and rescheduling my appointment the third time and the agent was very rude and said I could drop if I wanted. Lots of attitude and not a great deal if you want to sell. Bad customer Service. read more

This store has changed ownership and management. So the negatives are for the people who left. Current management is super accommodating and nice. There is a strict buying policy. That's why the quality is good. Whenever I stop in, I always find something I like at a reasonable price. There is a zero pushing policy. Yes, no buyer on Sundays. No offense to the store owner but I felt exactly the same way as Romney D when I came to this store to sell some clothes. First I felt that the clothes, even though they were in good condition were criticized to excess. There was one dress that she took because it was 'dirty but so cute'. It was my daughter's dress for her baby blessing and was easily worth $30-40 on resale. Perhaps more. I got $12 for everything she took. Even worse I bought a Christmas dress there for my daughter and when I got home, I found that the sleeve was ripped. When I returned it the cashier was terrified to take it back saying that the owner had a new policy of 'no returns' for damaged clothes since they inspect the clothes so carefully that they are positive, any damage must come from the person who bought. She basically said she would get in trouble if she accepted it. They eventually took it back and gave me store credit but it felt so insulting - the implication that somehow I was being dishonest about a $10 dress. I used to come to this store all the time when it was 'The Children's Orchard'. I loved the manager. She went out of her way to make sure she gave great service and the staff was always enthusiastic. I used to travel from Medford to buy things for my children. But since these two experiences with the new ownership I have never been back. These incidents happened to me two years ago.
