It's way more "manageable" than bigger H-E-Bs, & while they might not have the obscure organics or artisanal offerings of a Central Market or other H-E-B's, this store is a hidden gem. The shelves are always stocked, the aisles are always clear, & the associates are always happy & quick to help. I pretty much know where everything is, but the few times I've wandered aimlessly looking for something, fellow shoppers -- mostly older & wiser -- have helped me find whatever it is I'm hunting down. I've always preferred small grocery stores to large ones, & I really have a soft spot for this one. Maybe because I grew up in the area, or maybe I just like how leisurely a shopping trip here is; I enjoy my time spent here, & I think it's a nice change of pace from the Walmarts & Targets of the world. A pro-tip: the H-E-B app is a great help for a store as condensed as this one (& any H-E-B in general). It tells you aisle by aisle if they have something you want in stock, so you can save time, gas, & energy if you need something in a pinch.

I had this new listing added, and I'll fix the flea part later. My couple of pictures only represent one twentieth of what's here. I could have spent two hours here. This certainly isn't a "flea" market because there is beautiful furniture in here--many in individual consignment booths; others have permanent set ups. They also conduct auctions, one regular one is the first Thursday of every month; and from time to time, they conduct specialty auctions selling jewelry and other collectibles. They have specific estate auctions too. Come check out this nicely adorned, air conditioned marketplace, where you are free to browse without being harassed or watched; however, staff is here to answer your questions.

If you've been to any flea market you should know what to expect. So why am I spending my time reviewing this flea market? Because I care about each and every one of you, that's why. :) The only thing you need to take away from this review is this: Go later in the day. They open at 10am, but a lot of the shops were still closed or just opening at 11:30am. What follows below is just filler for the Yelp Gods. Several stands had fresh produce - it was like a mini farmer's market. They have plenty of snack stands and beer is 3 bucks. Most of the stands are hotdogs, chicken nuggets, and popcorn, but if you take your time, you'll find two hidden gems with decent tacos, etc. The place is so big, you really have to hunt for them though. Cowboy boots at almost every other booth. Car parts - both new and used. Tools - both new and used. There's a pet shop with birds, bunnies, mice, hamsters, etc. Several shops with new furniture.

Corey in the meat market is kind , friendly and approachable. All in all I strongly feel that HEB corporate allows bad service towards its customers. It's a most degrading feeling to be treated so rudely. Corporate does not answer complaints as they refer the customer back to the store employees. MS Butt would most likely be very disappointed to see how customers are treated nowadays. Service was always great in the last 50 years. Now, degrading!!! I think I will send this to Forbes who ranked them 3rd in customer experience for this year

I say this because I worked drive-through you're supposed to take the next car and alter the sections one section and then you go over to the other section and help that customer in that car, so they really need to work on their service in the drive-through area and it would be really nice if they would smile a little more counter. It's a job and they get paid very well. Smile about it please
