Another great dinner at Farah. We eat here every visit (every year or 2. We're from USA). The owner…read morestopped by to say hello and delivered an amazing variety of delicious entrees. As much as I enjoyed our dinner, I hardly have words for the perfect dessert baklavas! The summer (September) on the patio was so enjoyable, relaxing, and refreshing. Hubby enjoyed the tap beer and I had a nice glass of wine. Don't miss Farah if you're nearby! Unique. Unbelievable. Yummmmmm.

The ambiance was open and airy with a cozy vibe. There were plenty of sweets, breakfast and drinks options. The service staff were welcoming and upbeat. I was extremely satisfied with my the food and the shareable items were more than enough for three guests. Also, they had a wide variety of stollen for Christmas!

I had the lamb as an entrée and like it pink - and made sure the waiter understood and got it very well done :-( Would I go again? Sure - and I can recommend to go and dine. Gera is not the culture navel of the world and it's definitely worth it. Still, I would not do a 30+ min detour (mandatory in my rating scheme to achieve 5 stars) just to dine here hence "only" four stars.

This place is great. Quite unusually for such a small town. The food is first class. I met up with…read morea couple friends last month on a Friday evening. We made reservations for 8pm. Sadly, when we got there, our table was not ready yet. The owner apologized and everyone in the party got a complimentary aperitif. It took about 30 min for us to get seated. We were a large group of 10 and the place was packed, so I was understanding. We all ordered different things. I ordered a cocktail and tiramisu, because I had already eaten dinner. Others ordered pizza, pasta and we had one person in the party, who ordered a big ice cream sundae with fruits. My tiramisu was delicious. It was decorated beautifully and my eyes feasted as much as my stomach. My friends food looked great as well and everyone enjoyed it. Everybody loved the food. We stayed for about 3 hours and all in all, had an enjoyable night. When we left the restaurant, the owner opened the door for us and shook everyone's hand and thanked us, which I thought was a nice gesture.

Unfortunately, as a vegetarian I could not eat it because there was bacon inside. I ordered the bid salad which is on the entry's list as a main dish. It was so good. The combination of the lettuce mix, mango, asparagus, and popcorn is a dream. My family members ordered chicken and my sister ordered chicken nuggets from the kids menu which tasted amazing. She ordered her dish without onions and still got it with onions. This is a little bit disappointing but doesn't change my mind about the restaurant. The staff even offered a free ice cream as an apology. I would highly recommend this restaurant for everyone who is looking for something a little bit more expensive and high quality in the Grimma region. The restrooms were clean.
