Dr. Desai is a shoddy dentist. Every bit of work he did fell out, chipped, and didn't last for more than a few weeks. He is lazy and takes shortcuts. I will not be back. Even the office staff could not care any less. Look eleswhere for better service, and a better dentist than Dr. Desai. read more

If I could give Familia Dental a negative rating I would. The Clovis office overbooks appts. My appt was at 0900, got into a chair at 10:30, another 60 minutes for a routine exam & xrays. Next 2 appts lasted close to 7 hours combined. Paid total fee of almost $1,300 and the entire work performed completely fell apart. Went back, spoke to the office manager and stated I wanted a refund. She assured me they would make it right. That was a week ago. So my tooth is in the same mess it was in when I initially went into their office. I've called 3 times this week and had to leave messages as the office manager has refused to take my phone calls and, needless to say, has not even had the courtesy to call me back. Scheduling was smooth and easy. Great customer service. Office was nice and clean. They have a jungle gym play area for children in a separate room which is nice. The waiting area has a flat screen TV you can watch from while you wait. Back office where you get seen was nice and clean. They have flat screen TVs in front of the chairs to keep you busy while you wait. It was my first time visit. I spent an hour and a half just for a check-up/x-ray and routine cleaning. Most of that was WAITING in the back office but luckily there was a TV that kept me occupied. I understand they have other patients so that didn't bother me too much. My biggest issue was my treatment. There was unbearable pain from the moment the dentist started and it did not stop until he was finished. I had a hard time keeping my mouth open from all the pain. I told the dentist and the dental assistant that I was in pain and asked if it was supposed to hurt so bad. It felt as if he was trying to rip my gums out. The dentist recommended a numbing gel/injection. I refused - IT WAS ONLY A CLEANING!! And of course, that's additional $$$ they would charge my dental insurance. I've never had so much pain from a routine cleaning. I was still in pain even after the visit and all through that night. I decided after that I would not move forward with any additional appointments and decided to cancel my daughters' appointments as well. read more

I made an appointment because my front tooth chipped, they got me in the next day. I seen Dr. Elmer she is so sweet and is never in a rush when she sees you. Dr. Elnur said I needed a cap, which was fine. I spoke to the receptionist and asked what my payments would be. She told me I can pay a certain amount which would be 3 payments total. Which was fine. I was scheduled about a week and a half after my first visit. I was bummed but there wasn't much I could do. The same receptionist called me to tell me about a cancellation, it was about 5 days from the first appointment. That was the end of the conversation. I show up to my appointment and she said I would have to pay half. I was confused and told her what I thought she said the last time I saw her. She was very rude at answering me and when I told her I thought that's what she said she would say "no I didn't" and shaking her head. And also saying she told me on the phone. I told her I have the first payment you said was needed. I was going to cancel the appointment because I don't have it, I understand if I misheard the information and that wasn't the problem. She embarrassed me and this was happening with all the patients in the lobby which was worse. Then she finally said she'll ask the doctor if it's ok with me paying a certain amount. They said yes and to pay the rest next appointment. The staff and doctors have never embarrassed or treated me wrong in any way. read more

This is a great dentist office. Dr "AJay" is great with all ages. Some of the other dentist aren't as friendly though. Only reason I give 4 stars is....Be aware that La Familia Dental is a franchise, so when you call the local # you are actually calling a call center in California to schedule & cancel appts. I can't stand that you aren't talking to the Clovis, NM office. Then they also have franchise offices in Clovis, CA, so you have to specify New Mexico or you will get your appt at the wrong office. You really can't ask questions specific to the location or if you have problems or dental emergencies, the call center reps have no sympathy nor concern for the patient. They will just repeatedly ask if they can schedule an appt like an automated voice response. Other than that, the actual Clovis,NM office is clean & the service in the office & treatment area is great. read more

I Had several visits to this clinic and scheduled more to extract teeth. I cant start to tell you quality of work was along with the customer service from the time you walk into the door till the time you leave. I walked in on a weekend with starting of minor pain and they were able to fit me in. The dentists are great here, never had any issue or any pain whatsoever after receiving treatment. The prices are outstanding compared to the rest !! I can honestly tell you great service with a low price !! read more

I'm well past the age of being under the care of my parents. Circumstances in life, have much to do with not having the opportunity to utilize Orthodontiic Services. I've had previous consultations, however if wasn't within my budget. Enter Familiar Dental. I admit, I was a little skeptical...but, I'm really glad that I gave it a try. I had an appointment for my two kids and myself, after waiting an hour in the waiting room I ended up leaving. When I told the receptionist that we weren't going to wait any longer she actually ask me if I would like to reschedule. I will never go to this place again. read more

They made me 2 crowns for my front teeth, they did a really good job, only issue is it took a while for the crowns to come in, other than that I was very impressed at the quality of the work and the price was much better than the competition. Also I was able to get nitrous oxide for a small fee which was great. read more

Okay this is by far the WORST DENTISTRY IN AMERICA!!!!! I went in just to get a check up on my teeth and have them cleaned. They told me i have a few minor cavaties that needed to be worked on and I shouldn't worry. After he was done I was fine I went home slept like a baby. UNTIL THE NEXT MORNING! I woke up and my whole right side of my mouth a off. They only worked on my right side and I was told to come back for the left. I can't sleep at night becAuse my teeth constantly hurts , one of them are now loose, I can't eat anything cold on that side or hot or it sends my nerves in my gums running INSANE!!!! I did not enjoy Halloween or Thanksgiving. And still currently feeling nothing but pain. I don't know what to do about this pain. I've never felt this type of pain before I do not recommend this place at all. If you go. Go at your own risk!!!!! I regret going. My mouth feels like all my teeth have been pulled. It hurts so bad i just cry during the night! As of right now I just wAnna get rid I my mouth for a month it hurts so bad.. Good luck to you guys that go!!.
