Heard about the bakery at an Olive oil tasting at Nicole's Pastry in Fargo. They featured their sourdough bread to taste the imported oil by Peter Schultz of Moorhead. Lovely texture, lovely sourdough starter flavor, lovely combination with olive oil. Took an hour and a few minute drive from Fargo to find garlic Parmesan, whole wheat, and the white flour breads on hand. Worth the drive! Great bread. read more

Their Apple Walnut cake is one of the best things I've ever eaten in 45 years. Went there for the first time October 2021. Also got the bread (Sesame rosemary), molasses cookies and m&m cookies. Everything was great. The Apple Walnut Cake was out of this world, though. read more

We never go through Fergus without stopping here. I bake bread often at home because there is no real artisanal bread available in Fargo, and making decent bread at home may not be easy or convenient, but it isn't difficult to beat the local offerings! Falls Baking isn't just decent! It is excellent. Coming from the West coast where we have Grace and Acme, Nancy Silverton, and Buona Forchetta and Tartine, I am spoiled (and bereft!). The breads, the scones, the energy bars, the homemade graham crackers, the granola, the granola bars and the list goes on and on. Their sourdough bread is usually ready around 11 and I will wait for it or time my trip into town from the lake so I an pick some of this up. They have a great selection of goodies to chose from and the quality is simply amazing. read more
