She did respond quickly. I asked for a studio session a week in advance. She was booked for the weekends. You have to book the weekends 3-4 weeks in advance. We settled for a Wednesday (12 days in advance) at 1pm. I picked this day because I would have help with my daughters outfit changes and driving with my boyfriend. I was preparing to be late to work and all. All I cared about was the quality of the pictures. Since this was all communicated through email I figured it was set in stone. I paid my $50 in advance to save the date. Morning of the appointment I checked my email to find that she had booked me the previous Wednesday and was unable to fit me in that day. I didn't know that she tried to contact me to tell me she booked me for the wrong day until that morning. She said she could get me in early the following day. I just took it even though there would be no help for me (or natural light like she said) because my daughters birthday was literally 4 days after the appointment. Since the studio is far from my home I woke up my daughter at about 7:30am. She's only 3 so she was grumpy and didn't want to smile. I tried my best. But it didn't happen. The pictures were not worth the $100 studio price. I didn't buy any prints. Basically wasted my time and money. Plus she said that I would have my gallery ready in 2 weeks and I didn't get mine until 17 days after the appointment. Huge disappointment.

The pros first: Pros: - She has a wardrobe you can select different style of dresses from. You can even go before your maternity session to try them on. - Good selection of dresses - Super friendly - When it comes to booking and locking in your date, she's very prompt at responding. - Priced well for services Cons: In the past I've worked with photographers (maternity and not) and I'm used to organized plans. Such as sending questionnaires ahead of time for looks/style/inspo boards of desired outcome. Annina doesn't offer that which I was a bit surprised about. Only found out about background colors day of shoot. Luckily, I came prepared with reference photos of poses I wanted since she asked during the photoshoot. The system of selecting photos was a bit difficult. It took us severe days to drill down 100 or so photos to 15. She takes about 14-20 business days after you select the photos to send you the edited photos. Ours came at exactly 20 business days after selection. There is an option to add comments on the photos you selected. Looks like these comments were ignored since the change wasn't done on the photo and I wasn't told why it wasn't. I had to text many times about the photo album we purchased. From the day I asked, it took ten days to get a final response on look of album. There was a lot of "I'll send something later today" but that turned into 5 days later, twice. I had to keep asking about it. May have gone longer. Production of album was 3 weeks. It's not sent to your house (other photographers I've bought albums from send it to you) I had my sister pick it up since her place is far from me. Also, by this time, it had been 9 weeks, more than 2 months since day of photoshoot. It was a long wait ... When I texted her I would come to pick up the album, she gave me times but when I told her I would go x day during the times she gave me, she responded later and gave me a new time window for pick up. It could have been that I was on my way with her original time and she wouldn't have been there. All in all, she does have good work and she is super friendly. But due to the long wait time to get photos, slower communication after photoshoot was complete, I'm not sure I was completely content with the work. That said, many people did love the photos. If you like to get your photos in a short amount of time, like organization, upfront communication, love mood board and options to talk about your vision beforehand, this might not be it.

My parents were so impressed with their photographer, Brandi's, kindness and resourcefulness. They had no idea what they wanted photo-wise, and I hadn't given any meaningful guidance as to desired shots. Brandi guided my parents through a variety of locations and poses to create a visually well-rounded gallery that was equal parts sweet and irreverent, and really true to them as people. I am so impressed with the level of skill, both technical and interpersonal, that it took to do all of this at the same time. From my perspective (as the one doing the booking), I found Deidra to be incredibly warm and a professional, dedicated business owner. I found out that my parents would be in Vegas just a few weeks in advance of their trip and started trying to make a surprise vow renewal happen as an anniversary gift. Given the time of year and lack of advance notice, I was shocked to receive a prompt response to my booking inquiry, and even more so that she was able to send someone. She was in touch with me throughout the process, was mindful of the fact that it was a surprise and helped coordinate contact between my Dad and the photographer at exactly the right time. Last but not least, she personally edited the gallery within ten days of the shoot, which is unheard of. My biggest fear about the session was that my parents wouldn't be comfortable in front of the camera and/or might hate every picture of themselves... My Dad is very shy, and my Mom can be very self-critical. When I talked to them after the session, I could tell they had fun and really connected with their photographer, so I was relieved already. And when I received the final gallery from Deidra, I was just floored. My Dad looked directly into the camera for many of them with something approaching swagger (?!), and my Mom's immediate reaction to the gallery was, "I didn't know we were this cute!" We will cherish these photos forever and could not be happier with the experience, start to finish.

Rather than a set number of pics provided (which seems to be a common structure), she generously shares all of the best pics she captures in the quoted time frame. This speaks volumes to me from a business ethics standpoint, and it assured me from the beginning that we would be working with an open and honest professional. We did an hour shoot in Red Rock Canyon in the early morning on a weekday and it's like we almost had the park to ourselves. Taylor has never done professional photos, and it has been at least 10 years for me, but she was able to make the setting feel so natural and effortless. She gave us just enough guidance and direction to produce great shots without looking stiff or stodgy. We still wanted to get married as planned so we decided to do a micro wedding in town and push our large reception to what will be our 1 year anniversary. I didn't know where to start! Navigating fees and permits, outdoor rentals, decor, etc. was not something I was ready to tackle on such a tight timeline. We found Heather and after a phone call I knew we were in great hands. I told her our ideas and she designed a package for us that fit our needs perfectly- she also suggested the perfect location! I was sold.  As the months leading up to our wedding passed, 2020 continued to throw curveballs our way. My fiance's father got sick, my grandma passed, and my dad had impending open heart surgery. A hard year just kept getting harder. As time continued to pass and we were so busy with travel to be with family on top of "normal" life, Heather was always a gentle voice letting me know that everything was being handled and that we didn't need to add our wedding to the list of things to worry about. It was such a relief to have her. She was always so kind and compassionate, even when the day was getting close and I was emailing her constantly with questions!  Our big day finally came. I didn't look anything like we imagined when we first got engaged, but it was absolutely perfect. Covid ruined our plan A, but Heather took our plan B and made magic.
