We ate here for the first time today. When we walked in, we saw someone had ordered a plate/platter that had some bright orange meat on it. We asked him what we ordered, and he said the Chicken Platter. My boyfriend got the chicken wrap and I got the gyro wrap + feta cheese, and we got some cheese garlic fries. I tried one of the chicken pieces from his wrap, and it was delicious (he thought so, too). It's obviously marinated, very good flavor, moist and delicious. The wraps had lettuce, tomato, a small slice of pickle. They asked if he wanted his wrap spicy and he said yes a little. The meat in my gyro wrap was really good, too. Tzatziki sauce was served on the side with both of our wraps. The sauce is basic yogurt cucumber dill, but good. The cheese garlic fries were good, too, and had just enough toppings on to cover pretty much each fry. Service was fine. The men were nice. Ambiance is just ok. Small place with about 10 tables. Everything was clean, and trash can be separated into compostable, recyclable, and landfill items. read more

I always want to find a good falafel place, but unfortunately I didn't like these. They were too soft outside and inside, no crunch to the outside. I also didn't care for any of the sauces they provide. I did like however like the gyro meat, it was tasty. I would say they need to make the cashier / ordering area a little more welcoming instead of having the ice cream container right there, so it isn't confusing on where to go. IMO, I also think they should clear some of the old equipment out of the way and not right there where you wait. read more

My wife and I just ordered food from here for our first time today after having walked passed it a bunch. I got the bacon burger and fries, and my wife got a gyros wrap and falafel. The burger was really good, however it was heavy on the mayo. It has 1000 island on it and also mayo. I'd dial it back on that a bit, but other than that it was a really good burger. I'd definitely order another one from there just with less sauce. My wife really liked the gyros wrap and it was loaded with meat. 10/10 on that! The falafel was the best we've ever had. Fresh, hot, perfect amount of crunch and spices. 10/10 The fries were the downside. They were extremely undercooked, and some were almost raw. Falafel Flame is a wonderful little hidden restaurant with a big selection of food. The staff and people running the place always welcome you with a smile and great service. The menu has food from hamburger to kabobs of all kind. VERY happy with my visit earlier today! Super warm and friendly staff, great selection of food AND drinks, and outside seating with umbrellas for shade! The gyro was the best I've had in Concord... and I've had them all (sorry OGs, it's the truth). Falafel could have been fried a little less but was still yummy. Hummus was flavorful, standard yet flavorful pita, basic side salad was fresh. The combo plate is kind of a lot to eat in the heat of the day, so I got a to go box for the half I didn't eat. The outside seating is prone to lots of kids walking by and cars pulling up, but it didn't really bug... Definitely recommended for Gyro... can't wait to try the kebabs! Check your receipts!! They are deliberately scamming people. I got a beef Schwarma 12.99 plus make it a meal for 4.99 (can soda and fries). I opted for an apple cider and told the guy I would get a can soda instead. He insisted it was fine to take the apple cider. The bill comes out to 25.41. I asked to see an itemized list and he just told me to swipe my card. Upon checking he charged me twice for a weird fee that wasn't even specified 3.78 two times for what? I have a soft spot for them and want to give them all the support I can so these little guys can stay afloat. "Falafel Flame" is a fusion establishment of sorts. They have like a sample of things from Indian, Mediterranean, Persian and American fair all combined. So if you come here and don't fancy a "gyro" you could totally get a "burger" here or "kabab" and for those of you that like cruelty to plants, you could get a "salad" here as well among things. One thing nice about this place is the food served here is "halal" so you should know the quality is top notch, with vegetarian options as well. What sold me and what seemed to be all the rave on "Yelp" so far is their "Bassmaash Burger" and lets just say this kitchen sink of a burger really is pretty gnarly. Let me tell you about this masterpiece and all it's deliciousness.. Baddmaash Burger Combo $15.75 - So the "Bassmaash Burger" is $10.99 by itself. I opted to add the drink and fries ($3.49) to make this a combo pre tax the amount was $14.48 and add the $1.27 in tax and you get the grand total at $15.75. Due to "current times" they weren't using their soda fountain, so for the drink you got to choose from assorted canned drinks. The "Baddmaash Burger" was a bad motha....I'mma shut my mouth. But, I'm only talking about the "Baddmaash Burger". All catchy sayings aside, Two Halal Beef Patties, Special Sauce, Lettuce, Cheese (real not processed), Pickles, Onions.....On a Sesame Seed Bun..wait not finished, Tomato, Mayo, and last but not least a Fried Egg. Yes Yes y'all it's like that. This "burger" was messy but oh so good. Like this is one for those that appreciates "burgers". Everything about it worked and the fact it was fresh and made to order made the experience even more better.The fries were standard, wish they gave you a bit more, especially on a combo that costs $15. They were good fries though, nothing too special about them. I choose an A&W Root Beer for my drink. Overall: I really enjoyed my experience at "Falafel Flame" it lived up to all the hype that's starting to go round via "Yelp" and from "Word of Mouth". Taking over a business space that was once a mexican restarant, they are a get addition to the Downtown Concord area. I definately plan to go back and try other items such as their "Turkish Delights" that the owner say is freshly made. All in all this place is solid and I recommend it. Wow, I was very, very impressed. I think I might have found my new go-to place for Mediterranean food. I had the badmaash Burger ($10.99), girlfriend had the gyro platter ($12.99) and her sister had the crispy chicken burger ($8.99). The badmaash burger was awesome. It was two thick juicy patties, bacon, fried egg. There was a ton of sauce on it, which did make the burger a big mess to eat, but it was very tasty. The egg yolk was also nice and runny. The size was also perfect- it wasn't so huge that you couldn't bite into it, but it was also substantial enough that you feel like you're getting your moneys worth. I feel like you pay similar prices at Five Guys, and this burger is WAY better. I also tried the gyro meat, and it honestly might be the best gyro meat I've had. So moist, perfectly seasoned. They also do not skimp on the meat, I couldn't even see the rice because it was covered in a pile of meat. Next time I come, I will be ordering this. The crispy chicken burger also got good reviews, but I didn't try it. Also tried 3 of the turkish delight desserts ($1.99 each). They are small, but interesting and pretty tasty. I ordered the Badmaash Burger: massive double stacked beef patties with melted cheddar cheese on each patty, big pieces of crisp bacon, a fried egg, lettuce, onion, pickles, and sauce in between some soft fresh buns. Split it with my hubby since it was massive. He ordered the Gyro wrap which was also Amazing (I had some is good). I ordered to-go the chicken combo platter and the steak kebab platter. This place is hit or miss depending on who is cooking that day. The two visits, I ordered the same thing hoping for consistency and was disappointed, but the food was still very good. The steak the first visit was seasoned to perfection, rice is very flavorful, the salad has a sweet delicious dressing and the hummus is very good. However, the second visit everything was as expected except the meat was very heavily seasoned which was almost too too much. It seems like on Sundays, someone is else does the cooking and has a heavy hand. Also, I asked for sauce on the side and the second visit, it was not on the side. Overall, the food is very good but it's a toss up as to which person is cooking that day as to whether to order food or not. Yum! I think I just found my go-to gyro place! Mediterranean food was my craving this weekend and turning to trusty Yelp, I found Falafel Flame. Falafel Flame is located in downtown Concord in Todos Santos plaza, where the taqueria used to be, over by Sharetea. For this visit I called in to order my food as I saw ordering through Grub hub did not give all the options that were on the menu, mainly the Jumbo Wrap. After looking through pictures of their food this was the item that I wanted to try, so I just called in the order. This trip I also got a side of fries and onion. First off, the fries and onion rings were nothing special, works as a nice side. But let me tell you about the jumbo wrap! So tasty! The jumbo wrap had everything you would want in it and the meat was a combo of chicken and gyro, so good! The red sauce on their was also delicious, it was creamy and added a nice flavor. Also, they don't skimp on the sauce which I am happy for because who wants a dry wrap? The portion of was also great, definitely filling but I wasn't overly full after eating eat. I also have to say, the pita was so good. It was soft and wasn't dry at all. The service was super friendly and I am already looking forward to my next visit. I wanted their Caesar salad with grilled chicken (which is not an option). To add grilled chicken was an additional $8; so I would've paid $19!!! I ended up opting for the Grilled Chicken Salad with Caesar dressing $15! The food was bland, the spicy chicken was NOT SPICY just red. I would not be coming back to this place nor recommending it to anyone. If you want slow service and bland food this is the place.
