Flavors: white choc, mint choc, cinnamon cocoa, espresso nib, original, chocolate chip, pecan, toffee, walnut, and raspberry swirl

First review of 2021! I've had samples of Fairytale Brownies for years but it wasn't until I visited their factory in 2019 that I truly became a fan. Eileen, the co-founder, gave us a tour and the background on her business. It was so nice to see how the goods were made and of course, sampling all the flavors. I had a 15% discount code from the Yelpies gift bag and I was ready to use it. I ordered the Birthday Sprite 24 pieces because it had the most variety of flavors and it was a good price. I do like the size of the morsels but they didn't have as many flavors included. I ordered on Friday evening and they shipped it out Monday night, received my order Tuesday evening. Love that they don't charge for shipping! My treats were still chilled when it arrived and I promptly placed them in the freezer, where they last up to 6 months and still taste delicious. Definitely recommend Fairytale Brownies as a gift to yourself, family, friends, or anyone you care about! Love to support a local business and one of the OGs (their website is Brownies.com, they are legit). Only thing I'd suggest is the option to pick flavors in a box so it would be more customizable. ***EDIT 1/7/21: I just noticed you CAN choose your own flavors! I've added a photo to this review. I may have completely missed it when ordering or it's a new feature? Either way, excellent option and it adds $5 to your order, worth it.

Thank you!! Received in one day!

I received the most beautiful box of delightful chocolate brownies as a surprise in the mail today, a gift from an employer. What a treat! I checked the packing slip and it says the parcel was shipped from Arizona yesterday- at 7 AM- and it had already arrived in Chicago by today at 9 AM!!! Possibly earlier, but that is when I saw it on my front porch. That is really fast and the brownies arrived in excellent shape. No melted ones noted. I love the variety and the fact that they are individually wrapped, which makes for easy transport in lunch boxes. Came with a cute card from my employer and a separate card explaining the company's charitable works. Love, love, love. What a thrill to get this as a care package. Thank you!!!

Whats not to love .. chocolate brownie heaven!! I've received these as a gift and have given them out as Christmas office gifts also. This is an Arizona treasure Walk in and enjoy the smells of fresh baked cookies & brownies. Select the gift box size and decorative sleeve and the size of brownie you want to give. Grab a couple for yourself you won't regret it. Lemon blondie, cream cheese, Caramel, espresso bits, mint chocolate... etc!! Each box comes with instructions to freeze or refrigerate if you can't finish the box within a couple of days. Perfect gift for any occasion!!

Fairytale Sprites Dozen: Caramel, Walnut, White Chocolate, Cream Cheese, etc

Everyone in my office loves these brownies. So when they show up around the office, it's a free for all. This happened on Thursday, December 20th around 1:30pm. I believe we got the Fairytale Sprite Dozen. I didn't dig through the whole box, but I know we got the following four flavors: Caramel, Walnut, White Chocolate, Cream Cheese. Judging from the website, you can pick whatever flavors you want, so I know we got a bigger variety. I just can't recall the other flavors. I believe I've tried the Toffee Crunch. It had a nice rich chocolate flavor. The brownie was dense with a nice chew. The toffee added a good texture and caramel-y flavor. Though I found the brownie to be too sweet for my liking. But I'm more of a sugary candy girl than a chocolate one, so the brownie was a little too much for me. Great gift for any brownie lover. I know my coworkers are happy every time we're gifted these.

Clockwise: walnut, original, cream cheese, chocolate chip, and raspberry swirl

Received a surprise package of brownies from a dear friend. This is a great gift idea for anyone with a sweet tooth, especially for chocolate! The gift box came with a personalized note and was full of individually wrapped bite-size brownies in the following flavors: -Caramel -Chocolate Chip -Original -Raspberry Swirl -Walnut -Cream Cheese Because they're individually wrapped, it was easy to grab just one and satisfy a chocolate craving. The gift box would also be a great idea as a corporate gift for an office to share -- ya know, to prevent the germs commonly spread from communal treats. Diameter of each brownie square (aka Magic Morsel) was about 1.5". Some flavors were better than others, however I still liked trying each flavor in the assortment. Texture was nice and soft at room temperature, but if you UNWRAP AND MICROWAVE FOR A FEW SECONDS, THE BROWNIES BECOME DELECTABLE!! Try one with ice cream for an even more guilty treat. Package arrived protected by ice packs along with recommended storage instructions. I opted to freeze mine, then indulged with a few brownies each week over the course of a couple months. Each time, reminded me of my friend's sweet gesture, making the brownies appreciated even more, over and over again.

There is a nice variety of sweet treats, and the service provided by the team inside the truck was stellar. One of our student organizations was hosting The Scookie Bar, and after walking around their event, you could score a ticket for a complimentary Scookie. As we pre-ordered so many as incentives for our students, I thought I'd give it a try. Unfortunately, something wasn't set up properly so we didn't have the cookies themselves, but we did have sundaes. We had six options to decide between. I went with The Standard consisting of vanilla ice cream, chocolate chips, and chocolate sauce, and on a normal day, there would have bene a chocolate chip cookie, too. The other five options included the Chocolate Lover, The Celebration, The Signature, Reese's Lover, and The VNA. While I enjoyed the sundae, I'm sure it would have been even better with the cookie included. The Scookie Bar is "where the scoop met the cookie" and serves freshly baked, warm deep-dish skillet cookies also known as scookies. They have a location at The Churchill in Downtown Phoenix, though I would assume I would more regularly see them when their food truck stops by ASU. Their Churchill location is closed on Monday but open Tuesday through Friday from 5-10 PM and Saturday and Sunday from Noon to 10 PM. If you want to order catering, it includes 2 hours of service and a 100 scookie minimum. They can provide a Build Your Own Menu where guests can choose the cookie, ice cream, and toppings, or they can choose from the Signature Scookie Menu which is what ASU did. They have been operating since 2016 in Phoenix. Now that I realize that I was missing the chocolate chip cookie, I need to try it again with that included! I definitely recommend this sweet treat to others.

I can't speak on the customer service as we never left our table and our waited just walked over and got what we needed. We were pretty stuffed from our massive meal, but we decided on sharing a cup of gelato just to satisfy our sweet tooth. I peeked inside as our table was right at a little walkway from the restaurant to the bakery. Gelato is just one of many things they serve here. They also have all your typical Italian desserts. Cakes like tiramisu, pastries like Italian flag cookies, cookies like Italian wedding cookies, cannolis of different varieties, and of course gelato. What was suggested to us if we wanted gelato was the hazelnut flavor. I was expecting a little cup for the 6 of us just to get a taste, but what he brought over was a massive serving. I don't know how many scoops it was or even how much we even paid, but we all got plenty with some even left behind. Now this gelato was life changing. Probably the best I've had in the states. I know it's gotta be way better in Italy, but I'll take what I can when I can. Think of a Ferrero Rocher but in gelato form. It was delicious and I couldn't get enough of it. It wasn't overly sweet and it had a little crunch with bits of chocolate and hazelnuts. My sweet tooth was extremely satisfied after having dessert here. I have literally been thinking about that gelato since I left Phoenix. Luckily this company has locations in Texas so I will definitely be seeking out this gelato soon.

As a born and raised New Yorker, I take food very seriously... and Italian pastries even more so…read more Just before Christmas, I was traveling from New Yawk (visiting my parents) back to Phoenix to attend a family dinner at my partner's parent's home in Scottsdale. While I was still in NYC with my family on XMas eve eve, it hit me... I need to bring something besides wine everytime I go to their home. Nor a Southern dish. I wanted something unapologetically New Yaek. And what's more New Yawk than a box of classic Italian cookies? After asking a few Yelp friends where to find the best Italian cookies in Phoenix, The Sicilian Baker kept coming up. I called them last minute on Christmas Eve eve, having never been there before, totally sight unseen. First of all, their voicemail is hilarious. Truly. If you do nothing else, call just to hear it. It will instantly make you want to order something. Once I reached a real person, I explained my situation, that I wouldn't be able to come in beforehand, I needed a beautiful cookie tray for about 14-16 people, and I had a few must have preferences. Without hesitation, they said, "We got you." I was assured it would be ready when I landed on Xmas eve. Sure enough, after my partner picked me up from the airport, we headed straight to The Sicilian Baker. Parking right out front, a huge plus. As soon as you pull in, you're greeted with Frank Sinatra playing, not just inside, but even in the parking lot. It sets the tone immediately. We walked in, gave my name, and within minutes a lovely young person brought out my tray. Ten minutes later, we were on our way. Easy. Efficient. Warm service that made me actually grab a small box of cookies to drop my besties home on the way outta there. I didn't even realize at first that there's a sit down restaurant next door where you can relax and enjoy something. Great to know for next time ;) . Now, let's talk about the cookies. Yes, they are on the pricier side, but every single dollar was worth it. The tray was robust. Classic Italian pastries across the board like lobster tails, tri-colored almond cakes, cannolis, and all the favorites you hope for when you're trying to impress a room full of potential inlaws. And impress it did. The moment I walked in with that tray, it was a hit. People were already claiming which pastries they wanted, plotting what they'd take home, and hovering before dinner was even finished. There was more than enough for 16 people, grand is the only word for it, which is my style 1,000%. To this day, they're still talking about those cookies which makes me phenomenally proud (and humbled). I say this in all my reviews, "I hate almost everything. I'm discerning. I'm critical. And when something truly represents what I stand for - quality, authenticity, and heart, I will shout it from the rooftops". The Sicilian Baker delivered New York level excellence in Phoenix! Do not walk, runswiftly to this place if you need a gift, a show stopping dessert, or simply want to treat yourself. I cannot wait to go back. Highly, highly recommended.

It's smooth, rich without being too heavy, and the flavor actually develops as you eat it instead of just being one-note sweet. You can tell they take this part seriously. Leave it outside the fridge for an hour and watch that cheesecake melt on your tongue crystals (if you have the patience for that) Their rotating monthly flavors keeps things interesting, and you're not just stuck with the same lineup every time. Out of what I tried, the banana pudding one was easily a standout--super nostalgic, creamy, and just done right without being overly sweet. The coconut one was also up there, more subtle but still really clean and flavorful. Love me some coconut! They also have a punch card system--buy 9 slices, get the 10th free--which is a nice touch. It lowkey turns into a mission because once you've tried one flavor, you kinda want to work your way through all of them anyway. Now...the downside. The customer service just isn't great. It's not aggressive or anything, just noticeably lacking. There's not much warmth or engagement--it feels pretty transactional. For a place that clearly puts effort into their product, you'd expect at least a baseline level of hospitality, and it's just not really there. So overall, if you're going to Banhams, go for the cheesecake. The rotating flavors keep it fresh, the quality is legit, and it's definitely worth trying. Just don't expect much from the service side, and you'll enjoy it a lot more.
