Lots of really great restaurants in this area, but Fairways is probably my favorite!! We started with the Ahi Tuna appetizer -which we order anytime we see it on a menu- and this was absolutely delicious, some of the best we've ever had. My husband ordered the Mahi Mahi (which was so very good I've tried to recreate it 3 times already ‍) I had the filet medallions & we both had the Greek side salad. Portions perfect, not so large we had to feed leftovers to the dogs, but enough to snack on later at the hotel. They have a huge menu and great variety. Prices were pretty standard. Clean and cute, great service. Definitely recommend & will go back!!

Visiting friends in Hurricane and they brought me here for the Saturday brunch and the food was delicious! I had a breakfast quesadilla and it was so good. I would definitely recommend!

Eggplant hummus, Mediterranean flatbread with steak, gyro flatbread and of course the butter cake!

Great food and service from a small Restaurant. Amazing food and a family owned business, that can hold its own to much larger restaurants. Highly recommend the goat cheese appetizer and the butter cake dessert. We have visited numerous times and all entrees are prepared perfectly. The owner takes tremendous pride in the services and food preparation ( I have lived/worked in California, Arizona, Washington DC and WV) and the food is on par with these cities best restaurants. A hidden gem you won't regret!

Been here twice in a week, since moving to WV. Picture below is fried green tomatoes.....WOW!!! This plate is amazing and was a bit skeptical prior, but gave it a go and was wonderful. Also, was acknowledged by one a few of the waitresses, which gives it a more personable and fun experience. We will most definitely be back to try more items on the menu. Sirloin 3/5 (Brussel sprouts were a good side) Lobster Mac 5/5 Shrimp and grits 5/5 Ahi tuna tacos 3/5 *sauce did not pair well for me

A Californian visiting relatives in Hurricane, I was looking for a place that had a good selection of local craft beers on tap, plus a varied enough menu to satisfy everyone in our group. Fairways is the place! I got six sampler glasses of six different locally-brewed IPAs which were terrific. (See photo.) The food menu is huge, covering a variety of styles. I got Mahi Mahi tacos, my sister got the BBQ burger, my daughter got penne pasta and everything was great. The service was flawless. The place is a bit hidden, you actually park at the gas station in front. My one quibble is that this the first place I've ever ordered a flight, over five different States, where the beers weren't labelled. It's craft-beer flight etiquette to do this so that the craft beer lover knows what beers he's drinking.

Tonight we tried some new things. The calamari was not good. On the menu it says "lightly fried & served w/ Thai chili sauce". They cook them by frying them then toss, more like drench them in the chili sauce. I personally do not like my calamari this way. I think it would be much better having the sauce lightly drizzled on top to not over power the dish. The fried chicken sandwich- spice was good. I don't think I would get again though, just not my favorite. & the morning burger- the chef would not cook medium rare. Apparently all burgers are cooked medium so the burger wasn't juicy like we prefer. The chips are house made & delicious. Given 3 stars bc we still really like it here. The staff is always friendly & we do look forward to going back. Just not our favorite dishes tonight.

Don't go here if you are in a rush. Service was slow. I did the Yelp check in and showed the waitress and she said she would have to ask the owner, then she came back with "they'll have to call YELP that they did not approve that discount" so no discount as advertised. Menu has great variety, the fried green tomatoes were great! The rest was okay, I had the flatbread and it was good just not that impressive.

I'm sad to say this was our first time to eat here this week. We absolutely loved it. Had great service and great food. We ordered the Buffalo dip appetizer. I ordered the American Wagyu bacon egg cheeseburger. My wife ordered a bbq flatbread. Can't wait to come back.

The fried goat cheese with honey is amazing! I've had the Gyro, and the greek salad, and both were very good. Nice cozy little place.

Cellar Door is so cute! It reminds me of Alice in Wonderland. I love the custom-made chairs and the…read morebeautiful big wooden tables. It's great for large parties. They have an extensive drink menu, with cocktails, local and imported beer, and wine. The Tapas Experience, $30 for 3 tapas, is such a good deal! Service was good! They did a good job of spacing out serving us the tapas. For drinks, I tried the Bourbon Peach Smash, Blackberry Gin, and Godiva Chocolate Martini. All cocktails were $12. They were all good! However, I didn't see any fresh muddled peaches in the Bourbon Peach Smash. Here's the food I tried: - Adult Fries ($12): Amaaaazing. Not spicy to me! - 3 Cheese Arancini ($12, unless part of Tapas Experience): Fine, but 3 balls just isn't worth it to me. - Lemon Ricotta and Roasted Red Pepper Crostini ($12, unless Tapas Experience): Super good!! - Bruschetta ($12, unless T.E.): Delicious! - Duck Confit Egg Rolls ($16, unless T.E.): Such a large portion! Very good! - Buffalo Chicken Sliders: They were out of short rib, so they recommended these to us instead. I wasn't a huge fan and wouldn't get these again. - Tapas Tacos (3 for $15, but you get 2 when doing T.E.): We tried the Jamaican Jerk Chicken and the Black Bean. Neither were that great. Next time, I would do the Tapas Experience and get the Lemon Ricotta and Roasted Red Pepper Crostini, Bruschetta, and Duck Confit Egg Rolls. That was enough between 2 people. If we were still hungry, I would get the Adult Fries. I would go back!

The server was doing her absolute best to keep up with everyone but it was impossible without help. No other employees came up to help her and absolutely no effort from managers either. So one hour later and we hadn't even had the opportunity to order. Not exaggerating. We left and I asked to pay for our soft drinks and 2 baskets of chips. A manager handed me a bill for $35. I couldn't even bring myself to argue so I paid it (and tipped our young server who had been put in a horrible situation). We will never go there again. Absolutely horrible.

We were sat outside next to noisy construction, and the table had layers of dust/dirt that stuck to our hands. Service was okay, our server was relatively new and trying her best. We went on a Wednesday for the pizza and pitcher deal advertised on their website. We were pretty disappointed to see that not only was the deal not actually being offered, but they don't serve pizza anymore! We were told that this was to redirect customers to DP dough since it's owned by the same people. At least update the website! We overheard the customers at the table next to us got a salad comped due to low quality, so we decided not to order food. Pretty disappointed because this used to be a great casual spot downtown!
