Check in process was terrible. They have really changed their customer satisfaction policy at this location. I would advise against showing up late and checking in. I was given a handicapped room for wheelchair access in shower. This is not what I booked. Desk associate could not change the room without permission from a manager, that he could not reach. He never advised me this is the last regular King. And even though it was midnight could not change me to two do the remaining rooms. read more

Really disappointed with how this stay ended up. Everything had been great. Room was relatively clean, breakfast was good, staff was friendly, and location was great. We checked out yesterday after a three-night stay, and it wasn't until that night that my wife realized she accidentally left her bathroom bag...with her $500 Invisalign retainer...hanging on the bathroom door. And yes, shes confirmed she didn't stick it somewhere else in a suitcase. In a panic, she called the hotel two different times last night, talking to two different people. They confirmed nothing had been found and turned in, and nothing was found in the room or on the housekeeper's cart. My wife went by this morning to ask again. And again, nothing was found. Ironically, one of the hotel staff she talked to last night had actually rented out the same room for themselves. Someone with the hotel is clearly lying, but I'm unsure why. It's not like there was anything for the person to gain by keeping the bathroom bag and retainer for themselves. It appears as though only two people...the person who cleaned the room, and the person who rented the room last night...would've had access to the room. And yet, nobody has any idea where the bathroom bag might've gone?!? I don't buy it. I realize it's my wife's fault for accidentally leaving the bag, but it seems like the hotel/Marriott should step up here. In any event, our next reservation here has been cancelled, we'll never stay here again, and I'd caution anyone before deciding to stay here themselves. read more

Had the opportunity to be in Plano, TX and stayed at the Fairfield Inn & Suites. The hotel is in great condition, the staff is friendly and the rooms are comfortable. Complimentary hot breakfast is included. Make your own waffles if you want. Scrambled eggs and sausage was available every morning. They also have fresh fruit, toast, yogurt and cereal. Coffee, Orange and apple juice are also available. The area is roomy and they keep it very clean. I'd definitely stay there again if I'm the area! read more

Front desk staff was nice but could not understand his broken English. Upon entering the facility, it smelled very strongly of Indian incense and was VERY overpowering. The room was clean and stocked, but the hotel is very loud. We had a group of kids that ran up and down the hallway all night. Would not stay here again. Very disappointed in Marriott. Ferna and Tony are the absolute worst front desk employees I've ever dealt with in my life! Talk about attitude and condescending. I travel for work and have stayed in thousands of hotels so me saying that means they really take the cake. Megan and Bridget are some of the best front desk employees I've ever dealt with. They were both very kind, genuine, and helpful. If you stay at this hotel booked through a third party they require a $100 CASH ONLY deposit. This is ridiculous! I had to go to an atm because who carries cash like that traveling? I had to ask ferna for towels because mine had makeup and hair on them like they weren't properly washed. She was on her cell phone. She ignored me until she was done playing with her phone. She asked why I needed them with attitude. If my hotel wasn't booked through work I would have given them a terrible review through priceline as well. read more

The lobby smells like someone dumped a 5 gallon bucket of the cheapest, nastiest most artificial vanilla musk perfume on the carpet. We could smell it all the way down the hall in the last room. What saved us was that the windows in the rooms open a few inches to let in some fresh air. Nothing vegan or gluten free or healthy for breakfast - no surprise there; nor in the fact of the walls being thin or the outdoor pool being cold and full of leaves and plastic grocery bags. On the positive side, the room's patterns of the carpet and wallpaper are nice, as is the shower's water pressure, the Paul Mitchell awapuhi shampoo, and the giant bowl of peppermints on the front desk. read more

Fairly new hotel that's very clean and offers free breakfast in the morning. Checked in here for a weekend stay in Dallas. Very close to several restaurants across the street (you could walk to if you wanted) such as Chilis, Whataburger, Red Lobster and a Mexican place. I can see Costco standing at the front entrance of the hotel, but you'll have to drive there. I was booked a regular king room but upon arriving was upgraded to a king suite which was VERY nice. The room was clean and very spacious. It has two areas: a sleeping area and a business/entertainment area. This room comes with two tv's, a mini fridge, a microwave, a coffee machine, a large bathroom with a very roomy shower and a closet with extra blankets and a iron/board. There are plenty of towels in the room and a very small sample 4 pack of Paul Mitchell items such as face soap, bath soap, shampoo and conditioner. The hotel offers a free breakfast in the morning that has several decent options. They offer fruits, muffins, cereal, oatmeal, scrambled eggs and bacon, and waffles!! You have two options with the waffles. Make one the size of Texas, literally, it's in the shape of Texas, or make some plain circles. So of course I honored the great state by eating the state! They also offer fresh orange juice and apple juice, coffee, flavored water, milk, yogurt....ok, you get the point. The hotel employees were very friendly and one even told me to make sure I put good pictures up when I told her I was yelping. The hotel also has a pool and a small gym. I have to say I am very pleased with this hotel and if I am ever out this way again I would definitely stay here. read more

I was a one night guest on a business related trip and have only positive comments to share. Since this hotel is less than a year old it is still in pristine condition. I also like the idea it is not sitting on Hwy 75 so there is no road noise. On a side note, I almost booked another hotel using Hotels.com and the reviews were kind of scary (my daughter woke up with bug bites, hotel was run down, road noise was a issue...). For about $10.00 more I booked here. My room was a mini suite equipped with a comfortable king sized bed, two large TVs, a sitting/office area, coffee maker, mini fridge, and last but not least a microwave. What more could you ask for? I liked a large shower as well, much better than the old tub shower combos. There is a small clean and pretty well-equipped fitness center and a pool area that was not in play due to the cold Temp. The Comped breakfast buffet is pretty standard and was more than adequate. This property is surrounded by restaurants. For you 1st time visitors to TX walk across the parking lot and have a What a Burger or use Yelp and find a good Mexican restaurant, there are a few. the front desk is professional and friendly so check/out was a breeze. I will be back to Plano in the near future and will definitely be staying here. read more

So......I am a gold elite marriott bonvoy member, which means i am eligible for an upgrade if a room is available for free. I paid with the room using points. Upon arriving, I asked if an upgrade was avaliable I was told that I could get one because of the rate I paid 20 dollars. Which was false because the rate was paid for with points. I called their corporate customer service number, and they assured me that it was not policy. The front desk attendant said his manager told him that was policy. I called the customer service line again to ask what the 30 dollar charge was on my credit card they called the front desk and it was for the deposit even though he said it was the rate they told me it was 20 plus 10 for the deposit and incidentals. The staff needs to be better trained and be more proactive in addressing customer concerns, especially when there are resources available via the customer service call line to address my issues. When I did call the customer service line, they were courteous and thorough in addressing my needs and concerns and gave 10,000 points for the issue. read more

The room is clean, the beds are comfortable, it has two TVs which is so convenient, they have a small fridge and a microwave (much needed). The people are friendly, the breakfast is delicious. They have Netflix and YouTube, which is great for kids. I love how they are up to date their tv programs. It smells new here too. They have a gym and a pool here. Didn't use those amenities, but I'm sure it's great! The only downside is the WiFi; it's terrible and it doesn't work well. The WiFi runs super slow. It's worst than the old dial up AOL from the old days. Other than that the stay was wonderful! It's close to Golden Corral (walking distances), Buffalo Wild Wings, etc. Its close to a lot of restaurants. read more

Labor Day weekend dawned upon us and we wanted to find a hotel near entertainment like Top Golf in Allen and Main Event so we chose this brand new Fairfield Inn & Suites nestled in Plano. Check in was a breeze however didn't get a room on the highest floor. The rooms are brand new however smaller compared to older Fairfield's, the ac was noisy for a new unit, breakfast was pretty bland and key back entrance wasn't functioning. As for the room was clean and beds were comfortable except walls seemed paper thin as you could hear other people in next door rooms and doors slamming shut. Overall I wouldn't return to this hotel hope they improve on their breakfast as for the newly constructed walls not much hope there, average just for the Marriott brand and comfy beds are about it. read more

The breakfast was a nice assortment and the scrambled eggs were super fluffy. Honestly, for the price you absolutely cannot beat it. This will definitely be our hotel of choice when we hit this area. Fairfield Inn and Suites was not my first choice in hotel but, nonetheless, I am satisfied with my stay. I'd say it's a step down from Residence Inn and a step up from Towneplace Suites. I checked in at midnight on a Wednesday and the gentleman at the front desk was very helpful and efficient with his service. He even comped my water which was a nice treat. The rooms are clean and everything still works! This hotel opened in January 2016 so it's still pretty new. I stayed in a king room on the first floor (not my first choice in floors but it wasn't bad since it was next to the parking lot and breakfast). The shower is clean, the refrigerator works... I just wasn't fond of how loud the AC unit was. The TV is good quality with some good channels. You can even log into your Netflix, Hulu, or Pandora accounts. The breakfast is decent (especially because it's free) and seating is ample. The fitness room is a little small and the pool is located outside. The hotel was a little hard to find. You can't map it by address because it leads you somewhere by Walmart so I used the Wataburger address to get here. It's definitely a little confusing for someone unfamiliar with this area. Also, the highway can be a little noisy-- especially on the lower floors. The hotel is across the street from a number of eateries including Golden Corral, Red Lobster, and Buffalo Wild Wings. It's also close to a Target and other stores. GIve it a shot! It's about 20 minutes from Dallas.. rates are pretty good! There's also an Enterprise Rental close by if you need a car. read more

Very nice and new hotel, helpful hotel staff, and very clean. Good complimentary breakfast with the normal foods(eggs, waffles, bacon, fruit ect...) The gym had a nice assortment of treadmills, an elliptical and a recumbent bike. The weights are lacking, however. Their dumbbell set is incomplete due to thievery and their heaviest weight is only 50lbs. No Olympic bars, and one adjustable bench. However, it was very clean and the equipment appeared nearly brand new. The pool was small, but very clean and well maintained. read more

The free breakfast is so delicious. A lot of food as burgers, oatmeal, waffles, coffee... everything is fresh and tastes so good. The staffs are friendly and polite. They forgot to setup the towel in my room, however, when i called front desk girl. She brought it up right away. The hall smells so nice. You should pick the free smoke. Not like others hotels, sometimes it is free smoke, but the hall still smells smoke really badly. High recommended. 5 stars for all service. However, they need to improve in parking lot to have more availability for customers. read more

Great Hotel for the price! The complimentary breakfast waffle maker elevated our experience. The breakfast workers were friendly and helpful. They even commented when I went back for my second Texas waffle. Also, the front desk was very accommodating and upgraded us to a Suite, free of charge! The computer and printer in the lobby were very convenient. Even though it moved at a Turtle-like speed, it got the job done. The bed was plush and very comfortable. The room and shared areas were all very clean and well-maintained! The TV had lots of channels and a guide, which was appreciated during March madness. Very convenient location close to a good Longhorn Steakhouse and other restaurants. Overall, great experience and you get incredibly good bang for your buck with this hotel! read more

This hotel is nice and in a convenient location. The rooms are clean and we didn't have any issues. The only complaint we had was the noise. The walls are so thin we could hear the people next door talking and we were woken up by people walking up and down the halls. All in all, we would stay here again. read more

I first reviewed this hotel back in September 2016 and gave it 5/5. I've stayed multiple times since then, and this is the first time I've been really disappointed. I'll note this is my first hotel stay since 12/2019 before the pandemic. I'm assuming some of these problems relate to the hotel trying to save money? Pros: - The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. - The room was very clean and I still love the enormous shower. Cons: - The toiletry selection is pitiful. Instead of small bottles of shampoo/conditioner there were 2 packets of shampoo. The 2 "bars" of soap were tiny ... the size of something you're embarrassed to have at home or only keep because you're trying to collect enough slivers to smash together to form a bigger bar. They no longer provide packets of makeup remover, either. - I did get the room I requested, but not the extra towels I have in my standard profile setup. That's the first time they haven't honored that request. The front desk was happy to give me some when I asked. - I understand that the breakfast bar isn't self-serve because of COVID protocols, but the selection was terrible. Beyond the usual eggs and sausage, they only had oatmeal (inedible glue), white or wheat toast (that they toast for you), and an odd selection of berry flavored yogurts. No muffins, bagels, etc., but at least they had bananas and oranges available. - My reservation was for 3 nights and I left the "resting comfortably" sign on the door the first full day to skip housekeeping. The second day I removed the sign before 10 am, but housekeeping never made an appearance. Honestly, the best thing I can say about this visit was that the weird smell in the lobby was gone at least. read more

Meticulously maintained, comfortable beds, great breakfast, and most of all, incredible service. The professionalism of the staff is not equitable to the price of this hotel. Very friendly staff, very clean rooms, and very enjoyable stay. The building felt newer and the housekeeping staff was always active. Breakfast had all the basics, and the pool was warm but refreshing. If you're not used to Texas roads this area may be a shock to you, but the hotel is pretty good. I was loving this hotel.. until on our final night here there were some people sitting out on the pool deck drinking and talking past 11pm. Our room was on the second floor and just above the pool area. I called the front desk and the man on shift that evening said they would take care of it. He went down there and told them to keep it down, but it had no effect. There really should be a curfew set on the pool area as you can essentially hear the conversations of those below. I'm here on business and sleep is an important part of that. As a seemingly respectable hotel you'd think they would limit this kind of behavior. read more
